My go to for drinks on a hot summer day! There's healthy option to choose from like acai bowls, wellness shots, customized flavored tea blends, smoothies, milkshakes and slushees. I haven't ventured to tht side of the menu yet but I've been stuck to the other side. I prefer the slushee mixes but my son likes the half slushee half ice cream combo drink, and the ice cream is homemade

The slushy was too sweet. I bought two kids slushy and both of my kids didn't want them. If you are on vacation in the 562 or you live in or by, you should visit this refreshing Black owned juice bar. The décor is lively and it makes you smile as you walk in. I did go during COVID and she does have signs related to that. I told the owner this was my first time and she was friendly and helpful in helping me place my order. I went with the 2for$5 slushes and added candy as well. It was just what I needed. It was cool and refreshing with a hint of sour from my candies melting in it.

Support local businesses! I used to drive all the way to Anaheim/Fullerton/Huntington Beach to a sonic's location if I had a sweet's craving. Thankfully, this is so much closer and honestly better than sonics. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. It reminds me of "southern hospitality" that I get when I visit Alabama. It's hard to find people over here in California that show consideration and manners! If you got the cravings for something really sweet, come give these folks your business! You won't regret it!

Wanned get Smakk'd!! Come on Yelp Community let's go to Smakk'd Refreshers and Teas! They provide customizable beverages and teas for all. The place is pretty cuuute and clean. They have several chairs for you to sit to enjoy your yummy snacks and jam to some cool tunes. I ordered the Power Acai Bowl with strawberries, blueberries, banana, granola, honey, peanut butter, and coconut and took a wellness shot to boost my immune system while I waited but not for too long. I must say after receiving great customer service the acai bowl was the best I've tasted... everything sooo fresssh and tasty. I'll definitely be back!!! read more

I was influenced by smakkdrefreshers on TikTok and decided to stop by! It's definitely a family friendly establishment, there are games and plenty of seating inside to enjoy with family or friends. Me and my husband ordered a pink jolly rancher slushee and took it to go. Great flavor and taste exactly like the candy pink jolly rancher. Perfect amount of sweetness and not watered down. Unfortunately we realized mid way in that there was no candy in our slushee. Hopefully will come back and try a different mix and flavor ! Definitely should try it for yourselves. read more

A small local spot tucked away in an overlooked plaza in Lakewood. I found this place searching up smoothies on my way home from work. I was kindly greeted when I walked in and the woman who helped me was kind enough to answer my questions and provide suggestions. However the owner still served and accommodated us with what she had available myself and someone else purchased a fresh custom juice with fresh fruit added. I'm not a fan of anything too sweet but this lady absolutely DELIVERED on the flavor!!. I went with peach mango. You can ask for the fruit to be added and I would if I were you it was an extra bonus of fantastic. While I waited I walked around the store admiring the art work colorful high chairs and the Halloween wall in the corner. A very fresh festive environment. There is music playing that also gives the place an upbeat tempo while you wait . This is a little hidden gem that I can't stop coming to! Firstly, the service is always amazing. They are welcoming, accommodating and so friendly here. Secondly, the drinks here are SO YUMMY. They really smack. I've only tried the smoothies so far but I plan on coming here regularly during the summer and working my way through the menu. Lastly, this shop is so cute! Just left smakkd and let me tell you .... IM SO IN LOVE ! There's nothing greater than amazing and welcoming customer service! That's exactly what you'll get as sooooon as you walk into the door. After following them on Instagram for a while, I finally took the drive and I must say it was well worth it . I got a 32 oz slushee and my boyfriend had a large one. I fell in love with mixing beverages in 2016 and never looked back. I’m a self proclaimed mixologist. My ability to make almost any drink taste amazing has been a proven talent that I never knew existed. I even make low glycemic drinks taste great. I owe my success to my Parents, my brothers, my kids, & mu supporters. Without them, no one would be getting SMAKKD!

The staff here seem to be the cool type. As a customer I feel like my being there was interrupting their conversation. My niece ordered a Latte ($5.50) with the Cold Foam ($1.50) and I ordered the Oat Based Spanish ($7) with the Cold Foam ($1.50). They really pushed the cold foam here. We also ordered a Pistachio Croissant ($??) and a Kouign Amann ($??). Their pastry case can you better signage and clear pricing labeled. We both enjoyed our lattes for the most part. The croissant was pretty but it wasn't a tasty fluffy flakey croissant. It was a bit dense. Also neither pastries were heated up. The kouign amann was the most disappointing as we took a bite and it was SOUR. Not feeling it. Neither of us liked it and we tossed it. I think they put passionfruit in the filling and it ruined the whole thing. Had it been labelled we would have selected a different pastry. Before I left I also ordered a Matcha ($7.25) for the road... WARNING... For some reason they put maple and cinnamon in their matcha. I should have been more clear with which one I was ordering. It wasn't like toss-it awful but it was like mhmm, would have liked it better without the maple and cinnamon. Ohh and I interacted with a different staff, but they were also trying to push the cold foam. I already tried it, I don't need any more cold foam. I like the spanish latte, not too excited for the pastries, and staying away from the matcha. The hanging out aspect with my niece was the best thing about my visit.

I ordered the Banana Bread Dirty Chai, a Matcha, and a slice of coffee cake. The Dirty Chai was sweet and flavorful, but the Matcha stole the show. It was smooth, beautifully balanced, and not overly sweet. The coffee cake was equally impressive. Perfectly sweet with a tender crumb, it's the kind of pastry that pairs beautifully with a morning coffee and is sturdy enough for those who like to dip their pastries into their drink. One thing that stood out to me was learning that the pastries are made by the owner's mother, an award-winning pastry chef. Although I didn't try everything, the display case was filled with beautiful pastries that looked fresh, handcrafted, and made with care. What impressed me most was that PADEKWA kept surprising me. Everywhere I looked, there was another detail that revealed this place is about more than coffee. From the artwork and creative spaces to the community events they host, it's clear that connection and creativity are part of the vision. The best part? I left feeling like I had only scratched the surface. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back, not just for the drinks and pastries, but to learn more about the people and heart behind it. It's been awhile since I've ordered a matcha latte from here since my go to is the banana drink. My daughter loves chocolate milk & will always order their iced chocolate milk. She says it's one of her fave chocolate milks she's tried. My husband is a hot coffee type of guy so he always gets the Spanish latte. It's one of his fave places to get the Spanish latte. The indoor decor/setup is cute. Some weekends that we've dropped by, there's a vendor outside making burritos. I've seen a couple of pop up tables selling trinkets such as bags, stickers, other knickknacks.

If we had known, we would've gone down on the sweetness by at least 50%, as both drinks were quite sweet. Service here was also exceptionally warm and friendly. There are a few tables to sit at and a few card games to entertain yourself with if you decide to spend some time in the shop. Overall, would recommend for a boba pit stop if you're in the area.

I reccommend going to the Torrance location instead as the owners are incredibly sweet, friendly and ensure the order is accurate every time.

Stepping into Smak'd is like discovering a playground for your taste buds. This beverage spot isn't just about iced teas and smoothies--they're renowned for their slushees/icees, and once you try them, you'll see why. I decided to experiment by mixing three flavors--cotton candy, pink jolly rancher, and sour apple--and the result was absolutely phenomenal. It was like savoring your favorite candy, all wrapped up in one delicious, melt-in-your-mouth slushee. The owner herself proudly shared that she's perfected the recipe, and trust me, every sip confirmed she's absolutely right.
