The owner himself stopped by to make sure all measurements were precise. the quality of material and cabinets is stunning! we chose light wood and black cabinets and it all came together beautifully! After a move from Michigan to Illinois, Sweet Home Improvements renovated the townhouse I purchased from top to bottom. Lior redid the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, loft, laundry room, all of the lighting and put in new flooring on the second floor. Lior and his team were so easy to work with and professional, plus were considerate since I had to live in the townhouse during the renovations. Lior suggested some improvements that enhanced the look that I wanted. Lior's team has done multiple projects in my house. 1. In the basement, they rebuilt the stairs with oak to match the rest of the house, installed pull-out shelving underneath the stairs and constructed a built-in closet and work area. 2. The attic was transformed from a closed-off space of insulation and dust into a massive storage area with the installation of drop-down stairs, full flooring, lighting and electrical. I appreciated talking with Lior today. He called ahead to get an idea of our project, talk me through his process and practices, and my budget. My budget compared to my kitchen size did not quite work within his expectations for work, so this was not the job for him. But 5 stars for calling me ahead before either or us wasted our time, admitting that information ahead of time, and most importantly, not trying to sell me on a kitchen I would not be able to pay for anyways. read more

Each time I've hired Sweet Home Improvements, the work was excellent and on budget. Unique about Sweet Home Improvements is the communication. My calls and emails are answered quickly, and my concerns are addressed. I've never felt abandoned nor have I felt like I was a 2nd priority customer. The jobs I've hired Sweet Home Improvements for are: 1. Install window molding, door hardware and painting; 2. Install light fixtures; and 3. Total basement renovation (framing, drywall, electric, painting, etc). The results have always exceeded my expectations. Forgive me for gushing about Sweet Home Improvements. One reason I'm so positive about the company is because I had a very, very bad experience with a different general contractor. Sweet Home Improvements came highly recommended by a friend. This is the best contractor I have ever dealt with - bar none. This is not my first project and I know how difficult a rehab of a 100 year home can be. Lior, who is the owner, made the project a pleasure to endure rather than a chore. His company completed a master bedroom, master bathroom, office and laundry room design that had previously been connected in a way that drove us crazy. This was a big job for us and a big expense so naturally you are concerned about overruns in the budget. He is very good at problem solving. We had a screwed up design and needed a really good eye to fix it. He came in and immediately made suggestions where other contractors we had invited to bid were clueless. We had to cut through a roof so he retained an architect to work with us to handle the structural issues and he make our design work. He gave us a budget, a payment schedule and a time frame and stuck to all of it. Most importantly, as with any rehab, there are change orders and he could have totally screwed us but he is fair and extremely honest. Best of all, he is a tremendous communicator of what is going on, where things are at and what problems require solutions. He returned our texts and phone calls like we were the only customers he had, which we know was not the case. While moving some cabinets, he scratched our floor. Before we could notice the problem he told us about it and promised that he would fix it; a promise that he kept like all of the other promises. There is not one situation I could identify where he did not keep his word. His contractors are respectful in our house, cleaned up every day and on weekends. They took down all the plastic on Friday so we can have our house back to normal and then put it all back together each Monday morning. There was no wondering whether the contractor was going to show up. They are a responsible company. Who does that as a contractor? After the project was completed and he was paid in full, we needed a tweak to the electrical system. We told him, he came to our house the next day and fixed it. He maintains the honor of his work. Dealing with Lior and his team was a uniquely positive experience. We would not hesitate to use him again in our house and/or refer him to our good friends. We hope to stay in touch with Lior for a long time and appreciate how the project turned out both physically and financially. I saw one negative review on Yelp concerning Sweet Home Improvements and I would advise those reading that review to ignore that person. Lior and his crew put up a wall in our house, painted it, and it looked better than it did when the house was first purchased. In addition, they replaced flooring and painted the laundry room and it looks great! I felt the price was fair and the quality of the work was very good. All 4 came in around the same price range, with Sweet Home Improvements in the middle, not the highest or lowest. I met with Lior of Sweet Home Improvements, and Lior stood out for his detailed description of the remodel process, expected timing. I met him in the morning, and had the estimate later that evening. After choosing to go with Lior, and Sweet Home Improvements, I was impressed and appreciated the constant communication from Lior. When selecting materials, there was no pressure from Lior to go with his materials. We used a mix of products from third-party vendors, such as Home Depot, Amazon, and some products from Lior's portfolio. Once the bathroom was completed, Lior and his crew were very flexible and responsive on doing little touch-ups that my wife and I wanted. We communicated via email and via text and phone throughout the entire process. A true professional, I am glad that I went with Lior, and Sweet Home Improvements, for our bathroom.
