The origin story is super charming and posted at the entrance of the store. An entrepreneurial family who had cupcake franchises but opened this place to focus on an old biscuit recipe. Located in the heart of downtown Kennesaw it's more than biscuits. It's coffee, desserts and lunch is served all day. Unfortunately, you can't get fresh biscuits all day. Since there were no biscuits, I opted for the red velvet cake and a peppermint matcha. The cake was cold - it's in the counter chill area and the matcha wasn't hot. But the flavors were delicious so they won me over with that. I need to swing back to actually try some biscuits because they have a variety of sandwiches. I tried this establishment for the first time today because I love biscuits. It was OK. I ordered the Monster Biscuit and the meat and egg was good. However, the biscuit was far too crumbly to be used for a breakfast sandwich and made it incredibly difficult to eat. Additionally, the biscuit was dry. It wasn't buttery or moist and required a sip of coffee with each bite. Service at the restaurant was extremely pleasant and everyone I interacted with was extremely kind. Down in the area and came across this place. Great selection of biscuits, and I wished I could have tried one except for the fact that they stop selling them at 12. Bummer. Either way I got something to eat. Green Goddess Turkey Bacon Avocado - Turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and muenster cheese with a green goddess dressing on a ciabatta roll - Yes I did copy this from their menu which is conveniently on Yelp. For $13.50 I was a little underwhelmed. It just wasn't filling, like for that price there could have been more on it, or maybe there generally is and I was there shortly before they were about to close so they just gave me scraps. The ordering set up is a little confusing. You go to the end of the counter when you enter and then move your way back towards the front door. Girl at the register was nice, and I think the manager may have even been there. You can tell that this is a Christian establishment based on the music they were playing, which was fine by me. I think the manager even went as far as to buy a meal for someone who was homeless. I wasn't trying to eaves drop, but I could hear some of the conversation. That gave me the warm and fuzzies. I plan on going back before 12 one day so that I can try one of the biscuits, I mean it is in the name so they have to be good. I'll definitely update this review when I try it. The service here is warm and welcoming, very very polite and attentive staff! I've been here 3 times and never once had a long wait time. The ingredients used always has a fresh taste! I really liked the chicken salad croissant that I ordered my last time visiting here! Their coffee is good, though I'm not a huge coffee fan but they also have hot chocolate too which is good as well. You can substitute your milks just incase you're lactose intolerant or don't consume animal milk. You can be seated inside or outside but either way the atmosphere is very tranquil. They do serve more than just breakfast, they do also have a lunch menu so if you miss breakfast feel free to stop by and grab lunch you won't regret it. read more

I don't give too many 1 or 2 stars, but this place gets a 2. First of all, "Biscuits" is in the name of this place, but they only serve biscuits for breakfast, until noon. You would think you could get one of their biscuits any time or at least til they run out. Especially with a chicken restaurant right next door. Nothing better with fried chicken than biscuits. That's why I went here, to have a biscuit with my chicken, but No. They have a huge dessert display, which is a huge red flag for me. They had pies, cookies, croissants, macarons, donuts, cinnamon rolls and ice cream to name a few. If a business has that many desserts, you know most of it is going to be mediocre or bad, maybe a few things will be good. Why not make a few things, but make those really good (taking your time). When you have that many desserts bakers are rushing, they get tired and make a mediocre dessert. Because that's what I got. I bought a pumpkin pie bar and it was awful. Way too sweet for pumpkin. I tasted more lemon than pumpkin. I think they put lemon in the crust, which was too thick. I could hardly taste the pumpkin. Definitely the worst pumpkin I ever tasted. I took three bites and in the trash it went. The service was good, no complaints. And they do have a nice clean store, they have tables and chairs outside but no trashcans. read more

My gf had come here previously and wanted to come back with me, so we checked it out after our early CrossFit class. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with ledge seating for anyone solo. Staff here is super friendly and helpful. Everything is spaced out, as well, and there are signs on the tables to flip when it's clean or dirty. Ordering is simple, and they have a breakfast and lunch menu. There is also a dessert area with so many delicious looking options. Honestly, should've hit one of their desserts (why go to bakery and not grab one?!?). We did a chicken sausage biscuit w/ egg/chz, two chai lattes, red velvet donut and a croissant. My chicken sausage biscuit was just ok. Not a lot of chicken sausage in it, although biscuit was flakey. The donut was not moist ... tasted like a 2 day old donut. The chai lattes were the best part and very good (couldn't tell if they put cinnamon or nutmeg or both on top). Overall, an average visit for me. Bakeries are always hit or miss, and I feel like this was a big miss bc I didn't try the desserts. My gf had the avocado and egg toast last time and loved it, but was so-so on her meal this time. I will start by saying the location is cozy and all around great for a brunch spot. The service was SUPERB (I bumped up a star because it truly was a good experience from a service standpoint). The reason I was disappointed was the food. My caramel latte was subpar. The biscuits, fluffy and perfectly baked as they were fell short when combined with the bland chicken and scrambled eggs I got on it. I also got a turtle cheesecake to make sure I gave various parts of the menu a shot. Sadly, one of the worst cheesecakes I've had. Large variety of bakery items - biscuits, brownies, muffins, slices of cake, donuts and more. They even serve lunch all day! I had to try at least one biscuit since that's what they're well known for. Wow! Delicious! It was a huge biscuit! So soft, buttery, and even my son said "Omg what do they put in these biscuits?". Lol! My son tried the fudge brownie - HUMONGOUS. I definitely thought it was at least 4 servings. I'm not sure if they always make them that big or if I got lucky but I cannot complain! My daughter tried the lemon poppy seed muffin and enjoyed every bite. I tried a small iced hazelnut latte and it was great! I had to add some sugar but outside of that, I really enjoyed it and will be back for more. The shop was very clean and customer service was wonderful. Cons: crusts on all my desserts were actually awful, chocolate pie, cannoli, peanut butter pie, and my chai just an Oregon box mix from the supermarket- I can do that... perhaps shells were store bought? Maybe pick a different store... or make in house, the fillings don't deserve that sorta treatment. Owner note: when you serve cannoli you should fill them as people order to avoid a soggy crust (my problem). Yes, put a pretty one in the case and then keep the pastry bag in there too ready to fill crispy empty shells. For me, this place was so-so. Nothing particularly to recommend it, but neither anything to turn away from. The food I got was good. Mind you, both times I went, I went in the afternoon. They stop serving breakfast about noon, and they stop serving hot food (including biscuits) altogether at 2 PM. So I ate from their case. It was good, but it seems to me it'd be good to have biscuits or other hot foods available after 2. But businesses have the right to make their own decisions. The place is decorated warmly, and it's clearly a labor of love for the owners and the crew. The place is right underneath a large apartment complex, so perhaps they are targeting the apartment residents. More than a few people while I was there were in pajamas and flip-flops. They have pop cups for dog lovers, which is a plus. All in all, was a fine place. I wouldn't tell anybody to go out of there way to see it, but neither would I tell anyone to avoid it. read more

I have been wanting to go there for awhile and I was VERY disappointed. The food was just OK and they were very skimpy with portions. I had a bowl of oatmeal that was described as having pecans, brown sugar honey and fruit. The fruit consisted of 3 blueberries and a few small slivers of strawberry. The bowl was good size but halfway through you are into oatmeal only. My husband had a grilled ham and cheese for about $7'.00 that consisted of 1 slice of cheese and two thin pieces of deli-sliced ham on white bread. They advertised as sourdough. The staff is friendly and eager to help. The bakery case is filled with a variety of goodies - donuts, scones, beautiful cakes and more. But we were here to try the biscuits. I got an egg and cheese biscuit and my hubby got egg and bacon. The biscuits are large and make a meal. Their flavor is very good with just a hint of sweetness. We did find them to be a little spongy and slightly dry though. However, that didn't stop us from enjoying our breakfast! We also tried a cinnamon roll (just for comparison purposes ). It is a plate sized roll that is perfect for sharing. They have two kinds - white icing and cream cheese icing. We got the cream cheese. It was delicious! Just the perfect blend of cinnamon and icing with more of a pastry bread than a biscuit type bread. It made my tongue and tummy happy! This is a definite YES on the recommendation.
