Cute little restaurant downtown Chehalis, service was excellent! I always get the Turkey Focaccia with a side of sweet potato fries, it's delicious!

Cute little restaurant that we happened to stumble upon while walking through downtown Chehalis. Nothing spectacular about this place, but the servers were all attentive and nice. The food on the other hand was pretty basic. We ordered a half order of the fettuccine Alfredo, a roast beef dip and a Reuben. All were decent with no issues, but not great by any means.

Stopped in here as we were walking by. Interesting little set up. What looks to be decor, is for sale. Small town vibe for sure. Waitress was friendly and attentive. I was interested in trying the fish n chips that was on the menu because it smelled like fish n chips when we walked in. I asked if they had their own recipe, or used pre-made frozen fried fish, which of course it was the pre-made frozen. We opted for the lunch NY strip and salad instead. Price was around $13. The steak had a bit of fat on it...but was tasty and tender. Nicely seasoned and didn't require steak sauce...just wish it would have been bigger! The salad was pretty simple, but good. Honey mustard dressing could use some tweaking--a bit heavy on the mayo. Had a few glasses of the "homemade" lemonade. It was okay. If I was to venture through Chehalis again...I might consider stopping here again, but would more than likely see what some of the other local spots have to offer.

I had the Pesto Caprese pizza and it was amazing! The balsamic glaze added just the right amount of sweetness to bring together the different flavors. My husband had the NY steak and said it was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive and told us how all the ingredients were locally sourced, which is very good to hear because we like to support local businesses. Lastly, the building is quite beautiful with the exposed brick interior walls. I'm not familiar with the local history so I'm curious as to what this building was originally? We will definitely come back and also check out the market next time.

So Bad It Was Almost Comical…read more My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our drive from Oregon to Seattle. The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.

My previous review of The Quincy landed somewhere in the middle, which made Shelby's response stand out even more. She didn't just leave a quick public reply and move on. Shelby followed up with me directly via email, offered a sincere apology, and invited us back with a credit toward a future meal. A small business owner who genuinely listens to feedback and responds with that level of care and respect is something special. That alone made me want to give The Quincy another try. I'm very glad we did. We returned tonight and the experience was fantastic - honestly better than fantastic. The service was attentive from the moment we walked in. The dining room had that perfect Friday night energy: lively but comfortable. People were enjoying conversations and good food without the room ever feeling loud or chaotic. With our 5:00 pm reservation, everything felt smooth, relaxed, and welcoming. One thing that has always intrigued me about The Quincy is their rotating specials. They consistently offer creative options alongside a strong core menu. I tried one of the margarita specials and it was an absolute hit. If you're looking for a dependable menu favorite, I still highly recommend the white fish. This time I ordered the Mediterranean stuffed chicken and it was truly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The vegetables were roasted perfectly, and the chicken was packed with flavor while still feeling balanced and fresh. My husband is a notoriously picky eater (tomatoes and spinach are usually a hard no), and even he was eyeing my plate and asking for a bite. My biggest takeaway now is this: yes, this is a well-run restaurant - but that's actually the least interesting part about it (and I mean that as the highest compliment). This time, the food felt thoughtfully prepared, the atmosphere is warm, and the owner clearly cares about feedback and community. That combination is rare. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for having us back!

Same old wood floors. Small in size- perfect ambience. Hostess/Server was professional, helpful and lovely. The food was- without a doubt- some of the best food I have ever had. Surprisingly and wonderfully good. I had the pistachio crusted cod. My companions ordered the scallops, the pork chop and the filet mignon. I only got a pic of the two- but that steak was cooked so perfectly I have never had a better cut of meat (I got to have some, it's was my son's order). I also got some of the scallops. I cannot tell you how amazed and delighted I was. It's a weird place in Washington to find such good food- but if you find yourself in "Hub City"- make the reservation. Go to The Quincy. You will NOT be disappointed.

There were a few people at the bar and a table of 2. We were asked if we were dining we said yes please. We were informed they were prepping hamburger for the next day so it might be a minute. We said no problem we'll just enjoy a beer and wait. We checked out the menu and picked out what we wanted when she was ready to cook. A minute later the server shows up and asks what we wanted to order, I asked didn't we have to wait until the hamburger was prepped. She responded "oh I just like to be prepared." So we placed our order for two burgers and she went back and prepared them. It was interesting people watching... very much a locals place.

Boy was he wrong! This place had extremely drunk people singing horrible karaoke...which, may not be the most unusual. But that was literally the entire population at the time we went...which was PEAK time to be at a bar! Then like I said above, nobody was there, except what my friend assumed were "the regulars." So we felt like flies on the wall for sure. Especially since I don't drink. It felt small and cramped, so when I heard that my friend had been here before "when there was a DJ" and related it to videos he'd Snapchatted, I knew this place wasn't for me. How could you fit in a "concert" of sorts? (His videos looked like a club environment, and waaay more space then what was really available.) I hate to say it, but this place ruined bars for me. They even asked me to pull my mask down when checking my ID. By the way, they didn't card at the door, just after my friend wanted a drink, so I'll bet they were shocked when I literally didn't order anything. Not even water. Overall, this place felt cramped, and the music was ear-piercingly bad. Literally, it gave me a migraine. I'll never be coming back, because the parking was horrible, and it was in a weird location that was enough out of the way. It doesn't get a 1/10 because I don't like bars, so people who do MAY be able to have a better time.
