Stopped in here on a Monday around 4 after leaving LaConner and the tulip festival. It's a local hangout I'd classify more of a dive sports bars our favorite kind. There were a few people at the bar and a table of 2. We were asked if we were dining we said yes please. We were informed they were prepping hamburger for the next day so it might be a minute. We said no problem we'll just enjoy a beer and wait. We checked out the menu and picked out what we wanted when she was ready to cook. A minute later the server shows up and asks what we wanted to order, I asked didn't we have to wait until the hamburger was prepped. She responded "oh I just like to be prepared." So we placed our order for two burgers and she went back and prepared them. It was interesting people watching... very much a locals place. read more

I was really disappointed, and it's only the second bar I've ever been to. My friend said he thought about taking me here because I'd have a BETTER time than Tower Tavern. Boy was he wrong! This place had extremely drunk people singing horrible karaoke...which, may not be the most unusual. But that was literally the entire population at the time we went...which was PEAK time to be at a bar! Then like I said above, nobody was there, except what my friend assumed were "the regulars." So we felt like flies on the wall for sure. Especially since I don't drink. It felt small and cramped, so when I heard that my friend had been here before "when there was a DJ" and related it to videos he'd Snapchatted, I knew this place wasn't for me. How could you fit in a "concert" of sorts? (His videos looked like a club environment, and waaay more space then what was really available.) I hate to say it, but this place ruined bars for me. They even asked me to pull my mask down when checking my ID. By the way, they didn't card at the door, just after my friend wanted a drink, so I'll bet they were shocked when I literally didn't order anything. Not even water. Overall, this place felt cramped, and the music was ear-piercingly bad. Literally, it gave me a migraine. I'll never be coming back, because the parking was horrible, and it was in a weird location that was enough out of the way. My sweet Grandma loves the burgers here and wanted me to take her here for lunch. Burgers really were delicious and she swears by the homemade fries... so good! Just keep an eye on your food as I found 3 clumps of hair in mine throughout my meal. The food was obviously delicious and I was starving so I kept on eating it but after continuing to find hair as I ate more fries, I had to stop and let my waitress know. I believe I reviewed sidelines a 5 in my past, but it's been about a year since I have come back due to a few bad experiences...and today broke my opinion officially. We went in to celebrate a 21st bday and was turned away due to the fact of a vertical ID even though we had the paperwork from getting the new ID. Spoilers, you don't get a horizontal ID the same day you go in... So, congrats on your 1 star after multiple bad visits and sassy service. I am not from this area but I am learning a lot about it. This is my favorite bar in Chehalis! Same owners and menu as Bub's in Centralia, but this place is nicer. Cozy, and technically less space than Bub's but feels bigger because of the layout. I highly recommend any sporting event or just great deals on breakfast and lunch. $4.50 Monday burger baskets! read more

Came in for breakfast. One hour later, the breakfast served consistented of deep fried French fries instead of advertised home fries and one over easy egg was a folded scramble. This was sent back and redone by another cook. Apparently home fries here are reheated grilled French fries. Although the food was disappointing, the server was very nice and apologized for the first meal. I do not recommend this place for food... stick to the drinks. read more

Wow I was so disappointed in this place. I would give 0 stars if I could. Wife and I were staying close by from out of town and wanted to go out to get a bite to eat. Got on yelp and this place was one of the first to come up. Was 5 stars and was a sports bar. What could go wrong RIGHT.. When we got there wife's hairs on the back of her neck stood up. There were two guys out side smoking and wife said they were druggies. Told her just because they are over 6 feet tall and weigh less then 100 lbs and don't have teeth doesn't mean they are meth heads. The place is close to RR Tracks and sidewalks are dirty and buildings are all run down. I didn't have a good feeling about this place like my wife but feel I can handle any dive bar there is been in a few and thought once inside would be nicer it's 5 stars on yelp... Once inside first impression was DIRTY then I got a smell. Ugh air was let's just say unpleasant. .. Maybe 10 people in bar ALL stopped to check us out when we walked in could tell the regulars didn't see others in their bar often. Waitress said she was busy and would be right with us. After about 5 minutes she was done doing whatever she was doing gave me a look and walked over and started talking to two other people at the bar obviously friends of hers. By this time I was done wife and I just got up and left and glad we did. After going back and looking on Yelp there were only 6 reviews and all of them only had very few reviews I figure people who are just regulars there. This establishment was told in advance we were bringing in a large party. When we arrived, the downright lack of customer service they gave was appalling. A few of my teammates had waited patiently for the bartender to take their order despite being looked over multiple times. They went to order food and were denied despite the fact that others in our party had just done so and Sidelines was told ahead of time what to expect. This seemed very suspiciously discriminatory as others had just ordered food and the other bartender there was accepting food orders. I have had burgers at all the other places in Centralia/Chehalis on this list. There are some others that are decent. But this place blows the doors off all the others. Let's start with the burger itself. 1/4 pound seasoned and cooked to perfection. Not sure where they get their bacon, but it's thick and smokey. They top your burger with crisp lettuce, tomato, onions if you want, pickles and a great bun. It's a load. But then the burger comes with fries. Not just any fries. Hand cut. The flavor is similar to Dick's in Seattle only not at all greasy like Dick's. Served with the fries is a dipping sauce. Mercy me. That was an amazing lunch. The service was superb! read more
