It's definitely a "hidden" gem, tucked around the corner from Kipling Stn, in a really industrial area. Think a bunch of auto body and other older looking, unkempt buildings with cars parked out in front. There's parking in front of the bakery café and you hafta climb up a flight of stairs to go in. Not really accessible for older or customers with disabilities. When I arrived, the chairs were already on top of the tables. And after checking the hours of operation, they're only opened 'til 5pm, including Saturdays. They sell whole and cakes, pastries, but the slice/piece. Prices aren't posted, but it was just under $10 for 2 pieces that I got. When I arrived, near closing, they had B1G1 free on their tiramisu, so I saw that as a sign. They were delicious and still tasted free, not too sweet! (I took a pic of their price list and it seems very reasonable!) Judging on what they offer and what I've read, they have Austrian/German roots. Lady who helped me could've been friendlier/enthusiastic, but again, it was the end of the day. So I'm not going to hold that against her. I'd definitely check it out again...but it would hafta be during the day/Saturday!

It was 3:30 pm, so the cafe was empty. The selection is beautiful and they make everything fresh. I chatted with one of the owners (maybe?) and she talked about some of their specialties and special orders. She served me at a table even though I was only getting a small snack. I'll definitely come by again, and next year I'm ordering one of those German fruit cakes. :)

They can improve and edit to show instead "cupcake" and not its plural form, which is misleading when that's placed alongside a picture of 4 mini cupcakes. Overall, the cupcake is on the sweeter side for me. Cherry pie filling was like expected - tart with plump cherries. The pie dough is average and though I shouldnt do this, I compare all pie shops I visit to Wanda's Pie In the Sky, but that's just not completely fair when they're supreme. The crust at Celena's isnt the most buttery or flakey, in fact they missed to oil/butter the tray the pie was in so trying to take any slices meant you got only the bottom and the top of the pie. No backs to the pie. Could be done better. The space is large with a lot of seating.

You will find it busy during lunch hour. They are open at 7 am on weekdays so great for those heading to work. Parking is on the street.

Everything was delicious and fresh. The eclairs were soooo good. They had chocolate and pistachio. The bourekas came in mushroom/ potato and feta/spinach and were an excellent size. Show these guys some love and stop by. Everything was excellent and prices were pretty reasonable. They are located to the right as you go through the front door.

It was also very light which was great as we had activities planned. We ordered it the day before and the cake tasted great the next day so easy to store leftovers. It had the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness, and the shortbread base absolutely melted in your mouth. The lemon meringue tart was fresh and bright, and the donut was almost a caramel/creme brule flavour. The desserts are definitely on the pricier and smaller side, but the taste was great and they looked elegant, so well worth it for special occasions.

This is a very light cake-- both in density and in sweetness. It's a pannacotta cake decorated with colourful macarons. I can see this pleasing people who don't like chocolate desserts. (That said, Nadege has truly great chocolate desserts.) They've recently closed the gelato shop in the back and turned their bakery section into a bistro called Chez Nad. Can't wait to try it out!
