Nobody to go help in the tools section I walked around the section for about 10 minutes. I then left and went to another department and asked for a person to be called to help me in the grinder section on aisle 17. I heard the announcement loud and clear across the store PA I wait another 10 minutes and ask another department again. I hear a clear request for help on aisle 17 with grinders . I did have a gentleman announce himself as Manuel to. Please call him Manny. He was not dressed in any kind of insignia as being a Home Depot employee he said that he would absolutely help me when he saw I was looking at grinders. He shouted to another gentleman who was a distributor for another type of grinder. This person was trying to help me, but he didn't know the Dewalt grinder system, and didn't know if there was a tool that would help me take the wheels on and off again no help whatsoever from the store. Finally I approached self check out. I asked one of the ladies to please call me the manager. A gentleman who said he was one of the store managers named 'Red' came and identified himself as one of the store managers. He said he wasn't sure why nobody came up and that was too bad that happened. I ask who the GM of the store was and I was told his name Brian . But I was also told he was too busy walking around the store looking at inventory to deal with customers who are not being helped. Clearly they have lots of managers, but none of them managing. Bought the blue and red variety of these wind turning flowers and they add such a pop of color to my yard without having to water, fertilize or trim them like regular flowers. Such a good value for less than $6. each, I'm now wishing I picked up the yellow one. But the lady at the garden center said I should return or call to see if they may get a shipment for Spring or Summer time. I've picked up quite a few cactus succulent type of plants at Home Depot and all 5 of them are thriving neatly nine months later. So the selection of items in store isn't great. I think that's becoming very common in most brick and mortar stores. A much larger selection of items online and they have the option of delivery. But the customer service experience here is outstanding! I wish the customer service at all the Home Depots were this good! Very consistently employees will go out of their way to ask if I need help finding something before I ask. Or when I flag someone myself even if they're busy they always have a very cheerful and helpful attitude. Or they direct me to someone else that can help. For example someone was closing and aisle but directly me to a guy on the showroom floor to unlock the saw blades. Another time a man that was restocking shelves must had seen me wandering the same aisle slowly a couple times. He was able to help me find the gas auger I was looking for (location not listed on the website). Another time an employee that was on cart duty went out of his way to help me load 10+ bags of landscaping rocks in my car and then took the cart back too! I didn't even ask. He offered first! Another outstanding feature of this HD is you can actually use the shelf check out. You can scan and buy things yourself without assistance. The lines move super fast. Second time experiencing 5 star service. Outstanding Customer Service from Mannic at Home Depo. I had such an amazing experience at this Home Depot, and I have to take a moment to highlight one exceptional employee -- Mannic. Before he even clocked in, I had just parked in the lot across from the cart area when he kindly offered to grab me a cart. I told him I was okay, but I was honestly touched -- no one has ever done that for me at any store before. It was such a thoughtful gesture and set the tone for the rest of my visit. When I went to check out, there he was again! He smiled and said, "I see you found some plants -- how was the garden area? Was it too packed?" I told him it was perfect and appreciated him asking. Then, to my surprise, he asked if he could buy my daughter a lollipop. I said it was totally fine if it was okay with him, and he insisted, saying he'd love to. That small act of kindness absolutely made our day. This is only my second time visiting this Home Depot, and both times have been nothing short of wonderful. I have never rated any Home Depot, yes...it's my go to place, yes Ive shopped here many times as well as other Home Depot's but the quality of service o experienced today was above an beyond and I absolutely have to shout out the two people who helped me. All I had was a question about a rolling tool box. Norma not only answered my question but "we" walked halfway around the store looking for what I wanted. We didn't find it but we did find something better. Thank you Norma for going above and beyond even when you didn't have to. Not so great, not helpful at all this time. You know those bulbs behind the numbers to the address at your house to illuminate them? Sometimes those burn out. Push-in style bulbs. Okay, I'll head over to Home Depot. I asked one of the folks up front where I could find one of these bulbs. Showed it to them and they directed me down aisle 11. Good start. Moseyed down aisle 11 and located bulbs. One looked similar, however it had two leads running down below the glass. I didn't want that. I wanted a bulb that looked similar to the one I was holding. So I waited until someone in an orange apron walked by. And waited... ...and waited... ...so after I woke up from a brief nap, I went up to the front and asked someone to help me. They said they'd call someone over to the electronics section, so I went back. And waited... ...and waited... ...after my second nap, I found a guy with an orange apron draped around his neck but not fully covering his torso. Looked like he was shopping for something, so I asked him if he was working and he hesitantly replied "yes." Pulled out the bulbs and showed them to him. She asked for my ID and phone number, retrieved my item, and dismissively said, "You can leave now." When I politely asked to speak with a supervisor, she rudely questioned why I'd want to do that. I explained that the long wait was due to the employees chatting instead of assisting customers, but she just called her supervisor and told me to wait another 5 to 10 minutes. I'm running around the store trying to find the gas connector (which is not next to the water heater) and it ended up being at the back wall. If I could do a zero, I would. I went to buy a Ryobi Caulk gun that WAS marked at $39.97 from $59.97 Online and on the TAG. It didn't ring up right and I asked for help. The service I received at a recent Home Depot visit was two tone. I went in for project supplies. I'm a 63 year old woman and have access to limited tools. That is why I've always considered Home Depot. Their customer service offers to cut your wood. I came with necessary measurements for the wood I needed to complete my project. I found a great deal on price...I guess it was being in the right place at the right time! I was thrilled at the savings, however, when I asked a floor worker to have someone cut the wood on table saw that is set up in back of the building, the worker made a snide comment saying I'd already gotten a deal and he is not cuttibg the wood. I mentioned customer courtesy and he walked away. I asked a different person who was happy to call for help for me. No one came to the saw location. I asked a second and third time...I waited 45 minutes total. The person calling for a clerk to help me said he'd personally find someone. He apologized for the wait. Finally, the person who came to help was the same person I asked in the beginning who had walked away saying he wouldn't cut the wood. He rolled his eyes and again mentioned I had gotten a deal. I felt he may have left me waiting 45 minutes hoping I would leave because he didn't want to cut the wood but said nothing about that. He said he would make the first cut free but anything after that would be 50 cents each and I said that's no problem I'm happy to pay. In addition, I said I was grateful for the deal because I came prepared to pay full price. He then walked away. He went to get his manager. I met the manager halfway down the aisle and said that this was two separate issues and had nothing to do with price, rather, It had to do with customer service as advertised. She told me there was some things they could not do per policy and I inquired if that meant a certain wood I was buying. She did not answer the question but again told me they couldn't do it because certain policies said they could not assist me. At that point, the person who'd been calling and helping me find someone to cut the wood walked up to us and offered to do it for me. The manager said, " okay you can do it if you want to." What happened to policy? She had literally made a false statement! I couldn't believe it! It was slow in the store with plenty of time to assist. This really left a bad impression for being a bad business call on the part of the manager and employee who had walked away. The person who stepped up to help me restored good customer service by helping me get things done. After one and a half hours of rotten customer service, he restored faith, walked me to my car and loaded supplies in my hatchback and apologized for the trouble and the waiting . read more

Worst customer service EVER! Ordered a convection microwave for over $600 from Home Dept after speaking with their rep in appliances about what would fit our needs. Unfortunately, what we wanted was special order so we had to wait for it to be delivered. When it finally came the delivery people were rude and just shoved it in the door and walked away. When the appliance guy showed up to install the microwave i left to an appt. when i got home I realized it wasn't even the microwave I ordered. I had to call my guy back to uninstall the microwave and run it down to Home Depot Vacaville. When i get there the ladies are really nice but store manager Allen Fox seems irritated. Not my problem. So he tells me TRACY will call me the next day to work things out. Tracy called this morning with the worst attitude. She tells me my microwave is on back order until the end of June. She then says that's probably why they sent you the one you got! Are you kidding me? GE and HOME DEPOT think it's ok to send me a microwave worth under $200 to replace the over $600 microwave we purchased because it's on back order. Horrible! When i call Tracy on that comment she then gets mad and starts cutting me off and refusing to let me speak! The store manager Allen Fox is rude and it's no wonder why the employees are too!
