We stopped in for lunch while in town for MSU orientation for our son. While this restaurant is a chain, this particular location is awesome! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the friendliest staff on the planet was eager to help us with each and every request. The manager even stopped at the table to see if our meal was ok and to check to make sure we had everything we needed! The food was excellent as well. Delectable sandwiches were had by all. My husband and I split the French dip grilled cheese with au jus and it was fabulous! We wish we had a sweet peppers near our home so that we could eat it again! My son had the bbq chicken with white sauce. He got extra white sauce for dipping because he liked the sauce so much! Fabulous sandwich shop in Starkville. We always love coming here when visiting our daughter at school. I always love their crawfish bisque and Waldorf chicken salad. My daughter ordered their PIck Two with a chicken Caesar and a Cuban panini on gluten-free bread. I love the fact that someone came to our table and asked if there was a gluten allergy since croutons came on one of the salads. This location's management needs to consult with Aaron, from the Columbus store. I come here for convenience but my order is rarely correct, once I get it home. To date, this store owes me 4 bags of chips, one turkey sub, and a few cookies. Today I order a sandwich, only to be told 10 minutes later, they no longer have it. This peppers location did not disappoint! We've had a it a few times and nothing just spectacular but this trip was exceptionally good. My nana tagged along on our trip and she enjoyed her food as well. Dillan got the pulled pork street tacos, my nana got a choose two with soup and I got just a plain turkey sandwich. I isn't there was more locations than there is. The nachos were good, my kid liked her flatbread and my wife liked her potato.

I decided to stop in today after too much thinking about it. I'm upset I waited so long, the servers at the counter were very nice and had helpful recommendations. I had the California Club with a side of potato salad and can firmly recommend both. I also tried the chips and rotel with a side of jalapeños, I'll be trying it again and again on future visits. This is a little more upscale sandwich shop. A common theme these days in the semi-fast food world and one I generally enjoy. I will chalk up Sweet Peppers to an experience I will not repeat. I had the pick two crawfish bisque (no bread bowl) and 1/2 cheddar melt. The "cheddar melt" was much more of a club with ham and bacon, however nothing about this sandwich was warm let alone melted, and the bisque was so salty that I really only tolerate few bites. One of the things I do like about this chain is that you have a dedicated server. So if you need something you know who to flag down. (This got the second star.) I walked out of this restaurant saw as Subway across the street and wish I had eaten there. read more

I'm in Starkville a good amount of time and we decided to try this restaurant. We walked in, and went to the front desk. They seated us right away, and we had a window by us too! I wanted to sit outside but, it was raining. We ordered and straight away got our food. I've always hated melted cheese (it tastes like pickles) but, here it tastes really good and not like pickles. Their food is always fresh, and I like their menu choices. Their prices are a bit high for sandwiches...but I'll pay it from time to time. The main reason I took off a couple of stars is because I just had a really bad experience while calling in my order. It sounded like the person may have been new, but it's still inexcusable. She needs to learn to say, "yes ma'am" and let it go. The customer is always right. When I tell you I want spicy mustard on my sandwich, don't tell me, "It already comes with honey mustard." I KNOW THAT. Just do what I said. When I say, "Yes, butter and sour cream on the side." Don't tell me, "Yeah, they always come out the side. I just need to know if you want them." It also took her approximately 4 minutes just to get a manager to type the specifications of my order. It shouldn't take 9 minutes to place a pickup order. All in all, I would advise the manager to put someone more familiar with the menu/the system and who is more cordial on the phone. read more

I was visiting my sister who just started college nearby this year, and we needed a quick bite to eat so she pointed us towards this cute little sandwich shop. I had the pick two with the club sandwich and baked potato soup. She had the loaded baked potato. Unfortunately our server forgot to provide us with utensils. We let her know when she delivered our food and set the tray down on the table. After that a spot on our table was damp. Not the worst, but a little unpleasant. Luckily, we were rescued by another server who brought us utensils before our food got cold. Good thing he was there, because she didn't come by to check on us again for the rest of our visit. We waited quite a bit longer than usual for a deli style place, and the associates didn't seem concerned at all. I asked an associate, older female, looked to be a supervisor, to check and see if our order was ready, she looked around me at that moment and asked to help the next customer. I was shocked at the lack of customer service. Also the employees don't listen, the cashier added avocado to my salad which I didn't ask for and when we asked for the salad to not be bagged, the guy still bagged right then.
