From all the boba tea spots that I've been to, they probably have the best Coffee boba. I didn't customize it and it had a taste spot on. They have pastries and cakes. I might have to taste their cakes next time like the crepe cakes. The lady who was there is not pushy and knew exactly when she needs to head to the cash to take orders. I feel like it's a good place to study or a place to meet for a project. The music is not too high and they have ample space for a meet up. From all the pictures I saw on Yelp, I had high expectations for this place. Well, let me start with the positive. The place itself was really pretty. Great, lofty space...and nicely decorated throughout. Now comes all the disappointments. First of all, I was the one customer when I stopped in around 2:30 pm...and while the place itself was nice, it felt kind of stale. Total silence...no music. I also noticed that they changed things...for the worse. They no longer had on the menu this trio sampler that I had my heart set on. Also, I didn't find their drink menu that appetizing. Also, everything was now served in paper cartons...not actual plates and cups. This is a running pet peeve of mine. Since Covid, many cafes and bakeries have downscaled on cups, plates and utensils...to serve everything in cheap to-go wares. I expect that type of vibe at fast foods, like McDonald's and Taco Bell...not nice cafes and bakeries. I ordered this soupy dessert (forgot the name), along with this Crepe Cake, and this Mango Fruity drink. Truly, each and every item was forgettable. Just not that good. Then the service... dead-pan. The lady at the counter had this rude-cold demeanor, and did not flick even a slight smile even once. So yeah...NOT great all around. A bit of hidden gem that has a lots of potential. We learned about this through some friends. While the location is a bit unassuming - the LIDL grocery store next door is has shutdown - this location seems to have difficulty keeping a grocery open (it has gone through numerous iterations). We were interested mainly in shaved ice ice-cream concept that is not so common. We had tried strawberry flavored and this time we got large mango flavored snow ice. It was awesome. The serving size (we got large) was humungous - you could feed your whole family with it. The people are nice. I would give this five stars if they modernized a bit - wrote menus that were easier to read to american customers. They have many of the cakes too but I didn't see those on the menu and website. Sweet Room was recently purchased by someone else and they are renovated the former boba shop into a pizza and ice cream restaurant, so I wanted to get this review in before Sweet Room is no longer in operation. This boba shop was one of the only ones that was open late on a Sunday evening so those were the days that I was here. Sweet Room had a wide variety of different milk and fruit teas so there was definitely something for everyone. As a fruit tea drinker, I was pleasantly surprised to see unique drinks that I couldn't find elsewhere. Their lychee oolong was simply just a good refreshing drink and their passion fruit green tea was a good balance of fruitiness and tea flavor. I recently had their kumquat (never seen this in a boba before!) lemon green tea. It was kind of a unique lemonade, but good nonetheless. I will say, if there was a place that would mess up your order, it would be here. They've forgotten my toppings, and given me the incorrect topping on a few different occasions. At least the teas were decent. Sweet Room was also known for the baked goods. They were always on display when you came in, but everything was really pricey so I never really considered getting anything. I've heard good things about them, and not many places do the crepe layer cakes. The interior was really nice and comfortable, a good place to study. Best of luck to Harvy's, who is replacing Sweet Room. Looks like I'll need to find a new boba shop open late! read more

At first glance, it's surely the ideal spot for a sweet date. I tried 1 of their fruit teas and my girl ordered a cocunut milktea. They both went well with the mocha cake slice we bought for about $8, slightly bigger and more expensive than Breco Tea's cake slices but not as rich or creamy. We also tried their cold mango dessert ($7), which tasted fantastic but for the price, the amount wasn't satisfying. They 1 of the best milktea cups we've seen - similar to Milk Lab's but slightly better. The beverages themselves were questionable - while the tea tasted fine, the flavors tasted artificial, powder-based rather than organic ingredients. They offer a variety of milktea, fruit tea, and cake flavors but from what we've tried in our couple of visits, none of them stood out; none of them astonished us or made us want to return, which felt quite bittersweet because the ambiance of Sweet Talk is perfect for sweet talks. Customer service was fast and welcoming. Seems like there's a personal touch from the Korean couple who ran the cafe. Compared to more "franchised" milktea spots like Kung Fu Tea, Sweet Room is just sweeter when it comes to ambiance and customer service. When it comes to drink and food quality, however, that could get a boost. Overpriced desserts are not "sweet" to the customers no matter how sweet they are. read more

I came here with my friends on last Wednesday around 8:30. First I like the say the layout the minimal decor was really nice. Very clean and Serene. 1. We got the Strawberry Snow Ice. It came with lots of strawberries, a scoop of strawberry ice cream, whipped cream and strawberry sauce. The ice was really nice and creamy. For my own personal taste I think I could gone with less of the strawberry or without. I found the strawberry a little to tart. (4.5/5) 2. We also got a Chocolate Rolled crepe cake. It was really good, creamy and soft. The chocolate flavor was very smooth and not to heavy. (5/5) The service was really quick. I accidentally left my keys here and by the time I realize they were already closed. The next day I called and my friend came to pick it up and the person on the phone was really nice. Came back here again after years!! Tried shaved mango ice this time and boy I cannot believe they also have durian pancake and durian layer cake!!!! Those were sooo amazing!! TLDR: Refreshing, flavorful beverages and delectable crepe cakes! We stopped here for a quick drink while waiting for a table at First Watch. We found this shop by searching the map for a nearby cafe. Thankfully sweet room was open on a Sunday earlier than the nearby cafes. The cafe was spacious with multiple display cases, seating, ordering counter, and clean restrooms. The display cases in the middle were sparse. The case along the left wall was full of crepe cakes and other items. It seemed only one employee was working. We ordered a crepe cake and 3 beverages (rose milk tea with boba, strawberry made with dairy-free milk, and mango jasmine tea with lychee jelly). I liked how she made the beverages so that they were ready at the same time. We enjoyed all of our drinks, more so than many other boba tea places we have visited. Came here for a Vietnamese coffee and unfortunately the experience was poor. First of all the barista by accident did not put the lid on properly so scolding hot coffee went all over my hands and floor. After struggling to find a proper top and having a bunch of coffee on the ground she found something that wasn't leaking (some white top instead of the standard black top she first put on). I told her I was afraid this might still leak but she said it was fine. I drank a few sips and it didn't even taste like they used condensed milk in the Vietnamese coffee. Then the top popped off again and got coffee on my vehicles interior. I pulled over at a Walgreens and just poured it out and threw it away. What a disaster. read more

As you can see from the photograph, the peach milk drink I ordered came in a cool reusable cup. Like a fine wine it pairs nicely with my 95th anniversary White Castle Coca Cola glass. So I'll be keeping it and after I die both items will fetch a hefty price at my estate sale. Maybe as much as a quarter. So... Sweet Room has that going for it. But as long time customers of Meet Fresh we were hoping for something equal to or better in taste that is in Cary so we don't have to drive all the way to Chapel Hill. Unfortunately this wasn't it. The peach milk was... well... milk with some processed very small bits of peach with peach syrup. It is something you might get at an overpriced amusement park like Disneyworld for $10 so I guess I did get a bargain at just $5.70 not including tax and tip. But I did miss out on any Mickey Mouse shaped lid. I didn't finish it so that why I'm hoping to at least bank that quarter in the future! My spouse ordered a mango something or other. She didn't finish it either. I tried a few bites. Honestly, tasted like peaches more than mango and was drowning in heavy syrup. No rice, shaved ice or other base was included. Very basic. Let me repeat... VERY BASIC especially for the hefty price. The staff were nice and the place was nicely decorated and very clean. We loved the little bamboo serving trays. We travel to Asia alot and are very familiar with these types of deserts. But in the end I doubt we'll go back. Stumbled upon this place while just taking a stroll around the strip mall. It's located right next to Aquatots and Lidl. So far I only stopped in to order a mango smoothie for 6 bucks so I can only review based on that at the moment. It was very thick for my liking and hard to drink out of the straw. You had to use a lot of force to suck out the content. Seemed like it was a lot of super thick super sweet mango puree and not enough water/liquid. I wish they would have added milk in it. Had to wait a while to let the ice melt in order to liquify it more. Taste wise, basically like eating mango mainly because it was mostly puree. I was only able to tolerate and drink about half of it before having to trash the rest. They've got a lot of other desserts and treats like sagos, crepes, rice balls, etc. I've yet to try but will definitely give another chance to try those at later dates since I'll be in the area every weekend.
