I'd take my review as lightly as possible because I've stopped in once for a really specific reason. I rannnn over right after work, knowing they closed in 30 minutes with eyes for a daft punk album. No one really acknowledged me coming in and I sorted through their HUGE selection, not really sure where I should be looking so I went through it all. Eventually a worked asked if I needed help and immediately said they didn't have any daft punk in LOL I could have saved some time but it's not a big deal. I need to come back and actually check out the pricing and organization. But first off time visit was meh. read more

Came here to sell some records. The process was fast and easy. The establishment is small but has a variety of records for you to peruse.

This store has a lot of LPs, which is good. But a lot of LPs do not mark the price, I have to bring the LPs to the owner to evaluate the price. I spent a lot of time to sort the LPs and got the very high price. So I have to give up. It wastes my time to sort the good LPs for the owner. I understand that the owner does not have time to mark the prices on all LPs. But he should give the price range to all customers. For example, the price range is $1-$15. I will not visit this store unless the owner can give the price range. read more

This review is based solely on customer service. I went to see the new location and see if I could find any good records. Walking up to the door, I noticed the sign on the door said closed. It was a few minutes to 5 in the afternoon. I looked in the window and saw other shoppers so I went inside. I was curtly told, I am sorry, we are closed. There was the employee and five other people in the store, so many people it took me a good 10 seconds to figure out which person said they were closed. I looked at their hours and they are only open four hours a day for four days a week. Can you really be classified a business if you are only open 16 hours a week? They clearly didn't want or need my business, maybe they don't need yours either... read more

What a gem! I have family that lives out this way so I don't get to go as much as I'd like. Sweet Spot is pretty cool spot to find some good vinyl. Fair on pricing - most fair in town, I might add. Sometimes you'll find gems you didn't even know you wanted. I always leave with treasures. It's historically been and husband and wife operation until very recently. The type of store you walk into wanting to buy something just to buy something and support local business. They are now under new management/ new owners so we'll see if they maintain their coolness. The only negative for me are the hours - it's pretty hard for me to get out there because I'm a 9 to 5'er. read more

Could not ask for a better experience! I needed my vintage record player and stereo system repaired. It has a lot of sentimental value to it and I really appreciate all the care that was taken while it was in their hands. Very inexpensive for the repair and it works as good as new. Super knowledgeable staff who are happy to share what they know and help out however they can. Will definitely be back. read more

Sadly there is often an inverse reputation between quality and marketing in the audio business. The odds are if you're a highly visible brand, your sound quality is going to suffer. The good news is local independent dealers can generally provide better products at comparable prices or less than a mainstream options. Contrary to popular perception, you don't need to spend a fortune to get a great musical experience at home. If you want incredibly good audio at reasonable prices, Sweet Spot Audio and More is a great resource for resource for some of the best speakers, turntables, and amplifiers you'll never find in a big box retailer. They are a Grado (headphones), Wharfdale (speakers), Dali (speakers), Rega (turntable), Cambridge Audio (amplifiers), and Naim (amplifiers) dealer, and one of the few places you can hear a nice varied range of equipment in person, which is essential. The store is however not without problems. "The More" portion of Sweet Spot Audio and More often overshadows the audio, so you have a huge selection of Tommy Bahama shirts, race car models, miscellaneous memorabilia, cigars, and other hotrod lifestyle products. This isn't bad in itself, but the staff, while friendly and helpful, can't truly specialize in any of it, so I would definitely suggest doing your homework before listening. If Yelp had a half star system this would easily warrant a 3.5 star review. read more

A diamond. This is a great vinyl store for people who love music. Great selection (which seems to get added to daily) and a cool place to relax and talk about music. They have a vinyl listening station set up so you can listen to the vinyl before you purchase it. New, vintage and collectible. This place seems to have it all. They will bend over backwards to help you find what you're looking for and have such a deep appreciation for the music they share. Yelp will not let you give NO stars. I would have given a minus ten stars for this company if it would have let me. As a brand new customer who has never stepped foot in this business I have never met such rude vile man. This business was recommended to me to do business with to sell some records. I was advised of the location so I stopped by on Monday only to find they were closed. I checked the store hours and I called them today (Wednesday) and spoke to a woman (the owners wife) to make sure they were open. I called after 4pm and was told that they close at 5pm but to come on by. I did not arrive at the shop until 4:50 (10 minutes before they close) due to traffic to find the closed sign was already turned around. I went to the door and was met by a man who said "we are closed." The woman (his wife) spoke to him from the counter to advise him that I had called ahead about wanting to sell some records. He said "well, we close at 5pm but I could leave the records and come back the next day." As a new customer I was questioning/asking about this process of leaving my records and he said "well, I use to work at a bank so you can trust me." I was not questioning if he could be trusted (however that was kind of a red flag) I was just asking as a new customer what the process was. I said "well, I will have to come back anyway" and he said "no, I will mail you a check." I was hesitant but since I had already driven to the store with my records I went to my car and started bringing in my records. He came out to help with a 2 wheel dolly only to dump all the records on his dolly over in the parking lot. Once I finally got my records in I reached to lift some of the records out of a plastic tote that I wanted to keep. He said roughly "just leave those there" and I replied "that I wanted to keep my tote" and then he said roughly and loudly almost yelling at me "well, are you always this difficult" and "I find you to be a very difficult woman." I just looked at him at a loss for what to say............I then replied "excuse me, I am difficult for asking to keep my tote?" He then got really nasty with me and just wanting to really tell me off and at that point I was DONE with being spoke to by a man...any man in that manner. I let him know we would not be doing business and I started to take my records out of the store. He continued to speak to me in a loud and rude manner as he followed me to my car. Once I got my things in my car I walked back into the store and called out for the woman behind the counter. She came out from the back and I told her "HE may speak to you in this manner but as a woman I have never had or allowed any man to speak to me in this way." She said they had been married for over 30 years and that he was a good man. I am sorry but in the day and age of Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby NO WOMAN should be treated this way AND no business should treat any customer especially a new customer who they have never met in this manner. I will never return and I would not recommend this company. I feel sorry for the woman (wife) in this shop as she seemed like a nice woman on the phone and in person until all this happened. Bless her heart and prayers for her. NOTE: I have not posted many yelp reviews but I could not let this go. I realize this probably won't even show up in the main feed for this business but at least I let others know of my experience with this company. read more

While the shop does not carry as heavy collections as the stores downtown it does have enough to find what you are looking for. The pricing is competitive though and have had no issues with that. The biggest issue I have with the store is the hours are quite possibly the most consumer unfriendly I have ever encountered and makes it easier for me half the time to go to one of the downtown record stores. If you can get there within the grand 6 hours it is worth it solely for the records. read more

This place is owned by a very agreeable older couple who know their music and like to have a good time. You can tell that music as a hobby translated into a business that they truly enjoy running. The atmosphere is fine and the selection is great. They also have these little frequent buyer cards that you can use for a few bucks off after you have purchased like 9 records (and they usually don't even make me wait until 9.) THE ONLY gripe I have that made me want to write a review on here is on their special ordering service. They should not offer this at all. I ordered a record and was told it would most likely come in "the next time they get a shipment in" which is close to bi-weekly. Then, 3 months later, when I had complained about not getting it yet like 5 times, they made me feel stupid for expecting that something I ordered from them would arrive in a timely manner. I understand that its on back order, but they made no effort to try other suppliers, and no effort to contact me to let me know it was on back order. SO I cancelled my order and got it on amazon. You are better off doing the same thing. They shouldn't advertise that they do this and then not tell everyone that it will probably take months to get what you want. SOO you're better off special ordering vinyls on Amazon, but if you're looking for something common or just to browse I can't recommend this place enough. They really are nice people, it's just they aren't the best at providing effective customer service. After reading Jack S.'s review I have to concur. The place is missing the punch and I believe adapting in a wrong way. They are now over loading on vinyl trying to adapt to their obviously escalating problem; funds. I understand a collection can grow; but are you a pawn shop or what? This place is loosing its dwindling identity that it had in the beginning. I know that getting the shoes is difficult because they are a special brand and circumstance in all honesty they need to stand passionate about that brand. They need to stay passionate about the things no one else sells. They do need to do more with less (space) but they need to do it with out the hobby-like appeal. GET RID OF THE CAR MODELS lol. You can buy those else where can you not? Keep what you can not get anywhere else, PLAY MUSIC LIVE create ENERGY. PLAY music people feel energetic too with out going crazy. These owners need to go to Pinkberry someday and just soak up that vibe. I know and understand what these guys are trying to do but if you want a coffee shop feel, you're going to get the sales report of a library. These guys are treading in interesting waters and need to consider the reviews if they can get them. I feel that these guys were on to something that might fade away. I would give this a 5 for fan-dom; I want this place to succeed and I WANT people to go there and buy what they sell, but they need to wake up if they want this to succeed. I love this place. Old school family owned business. Great vintage vinyl and new releases as well. There's always the thrill of the hunt at this store. Very comfortable atmosphere and couldn't ask for nicer owners.
