All three had a huge selection of comic books, both new and old. Comics really aren't my thing, I like the collectibles that go with them and this place is surrounded with them. Vintage toys that I've never seen before to the more current Funko Pops. They have it all. Very cool place, talked to the owner and got excellent customer service. Really nice guy. While nothing really screamed take me home with you today, I'll for sure be back.

They were very informative and I learned a lot. I meet so many people into anime, I've been educating myself on a lot of this. It is becoming very interesting. Back in the day people used to talk about how Pokémon cards would have value and they literally have $300-$400 Pokémon cards and glass cases. I feel like I missed out lol. They were very organized with their comics with them all in alphabetical order and easy to find. You don't have to have a lot of money to participate in this interest. Although there are some very expensive comic books they also sell some for $1. They also offer cool experiences outside of comic books. They are hosting a dungeons and dragon tournament, Yu-Gi-Oh card tournament and more. I thought it was cool that it is a safe haven for kids to come and read comics or watch anime if they choose to get away.

Like many of the modern comic book stores, Bedrock City Comic want to make everyone who walks through their door as welcoming as possible. They have specific sections for kids and shelves that's just local Houstonian artists created works or books for new comers to start from. This store is definitely well organized and there's plenty of things to browse for. Sometimes there will be special artists event such as Gene Luen Yang stopping by for a meet and greet and signing. They certainly stock up as much of the creator's works as possible for people to buy and get it signed the same evening. This store also have a good selection for the hardcore collectors when it comes to buying Golden Age comics, statues, and special limited edition collectibles that you don't really need it but you want it just because. When I am around on this side of the town, I will always try to make time and stop by here just to take a look, who knows what I will find that trip.

I found parallel parking right in front on the store, I'm sure there's a lot close by if parallel parking isn't your thing. The store is narrow but they have made excellent use of the space. There are tons of comics, books, action figures and even a small selection of reasonably priced vinyl records. The employee was talking to a younger comic book fan while I was there, suggesting what to read and characters he might like. I could tell the employee had a real passion for what he was doing, it was very nice. I'm glad I made the trip to Baytown, it's a really cool store.

He sometimes hosts MTG tournaments and and has a solid collection of commons that he sells for cheap, as well as a collection of rares and mythics that go for higher, but reasonable prices. I've been here several times and will keep coming back. Nice to have a decent comic/gaming shop in Baytown that isn't that other one.

I used to go to this shop back when it was in Seabrook. They have a ton of comics back stock and rare items on the wall. They also do some good sales for back issues and books etc for a good price. When I saw Bluey books displayed I was surprised as it's not something a "comic book"/"nerd" shop is going to carry especially since they have a lot of independent TTRPG games I'm not familiar with. Then I found their youth selection of books -Goosebumps to The Babysitter's club to horror genre for young adults. They're not just a shop that caters to Funko Pop Culture to get by so they can have their Indy games and Call of Cthulhu game sessions. The staff was so helpful in giving me a ton of information and helping me with my needs. I had so many recommendations and they knew what they were talking about. I love that this place is about cultivating from a young age a love of books. I highly recommend this store over the other "nerd" stores in the surrounding area. I've been to them and was so disappointed with their selection of games and books and also the lack of professionalism.

Everytime our family visits the strand, a visit to Play on The Strand is always a required stop…read more My youngest daughter and I get bored with the whole bougie shopping scene on the strand, so my wife turns us loose while she shops. My daughter and I always head over to Play on The Strand with our pockets full of quarters. We head straight to the back and hit up the arcade. They've got some pinball machines back there along with a couple of arcade games. We fill their machines up with quarters then check out all the cool toys they have. They have a lot of cool toys in there and my daughter seems to always sucker me into buying her something when we leave. I always enjoy supporting small businesses here in Galveston, and their toys are of good quality. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who visits The Strand.
