With almost no direction from us, she created the most beautiful (and delicious!) cake, along with an amazing assortment of super delicious desserts! When we first called Martha, we didn't really know what we wanted. Luckily for us, Martha did a great job of suggesting interesting and unique flavor combinations that we fell in love with. Since we loved everything at the tasting, we ordered extra, and got to-go boxes so our guests could take home leftovers. Thankfully we had our tasting just a couple weeks before the wedding because by the time we made it to the dessert table, it was almost empty - no need for to-go boxes! We came across Auntie's House in our search and knew that we needed to try their whoopie pie balls. Upon entering the bakery, we were enveloped in the scent of warm chocolate cake. It made my stomach rumble immediately! We picked out 6 whoopie pie balls to share. While I wouldn't exactly call them "whoopie pies" they were very good. We tried a few different flavors and all of them were tasty. We also tried the chocolate covered cookie dough bites ! When it was time to cut the cake, there was no wedding cake in sight. They had completely forgotten to make it. To add insult to injury it took Vicki three weeks to refund us our money. In addition to a refund we wanted at least a taste of what we should have had on our wedding day, just a small sample of our cake. However, after numerous unanswered phone calls and emails we got a $20 check in the mail for a "dessert on her." She refused to send us even a sample of our wedding cake, claiming they couldn't "guarantee" the quality. From start to finish, it felt awkward and unprofessional. If you want to be disappointed on your wedding day choose Coastal Cakes.
