Don't get me wrong, the cake was tasty- however- if I'm spending upwards of 80 dollars on a six inch cake, I'm hoping it's going to be great. The buttercream to cake ratio was way off, and the frosting was sickly sweet, the frosting layers were thicker than the cake! And, the cake was wicked dense. Additionally, the writing on top was shaky and not very professional looking. The overall look of the cake wasn't exactly what I ordered (A vintage look with different colors of caramel and browns to decorate) and it was all the same color. I didn't receive a call saying it was ready for pickup, and had to call to confirm myself. Not very happy with this experience. read more

Kristina and her team were very professional, responsive, flexible, and pleasant throughout our time working together. They truly hit the ball out of the park with everything and were very helpful in determining how much cake to have, delivering and setting everything up, etc. The design of the cake was absolutely beautiful. We gave Kristina a general idea of what we were looking for, and it could not have come out better. She also made two adorable puffins for the base the cake. As cake lovers, not only was the design but also the taste really important to us. We had a four tier cake along with a selection of cupcakes, all of varying flavors. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The cake was moist, while the frosting was smooth, buttery, and fluffy -- and neither too sweet. I ordered a Baby Yoda sculptured cake with chocolate/vanilla marbled cake. I received a round cake with chocolate and vanilla layers (not marbled) with a fondant cake topper. The cake was tasty but NOT AT ALL what I ordered and expected. The baker was unapologetic when I emailed her. Save your money buy a cake topper on Etsy. I do not recommend this bakery. I thought I would share the reply I received from the baker - it is very professional and empathetic. For the record I did pay $10/serving. "So If you have ordered MANY sculpted cakes the price should have given you a hint. Did you expect to get a sculpted cake for what you paid? Sculpted cakes in our industry start at $10.00 per serving. After the party my husband turned to me and said if he could give 6 stars for Cake Elizabeth, he would. It was that good. When he first brought it to the house I nearly teared up. It was so beautiful and beyond what I'd ever hoped for as the center piece of our party To get her started I'd sent Patty a few images to inspire and then set her loose on the design. A week later we had the most jaw-dropping gorgeous birthday cake I had ever seen. And yes, it tasted delicious. Guests were begging me for her name and days later still talking about it. After communicating with Patricia at Cakes Elizabeth on what I wanted for my daughter's baby shower, she sent me the pricing and asked me to let her know if I wanted to move forward with the order. I replied that "Yes, I would like to proceed with the order." Happy that it was ordered, I emailed her 8 days later asking about a convenient time to pick up. 2 days later, she responded that "We never finalized because I got sick with Covid so not baking right now." I replied that I was sorry to hear that she was sick but now 2 days before the shower and I'm in a pickle. I wish someone would have let me know so I could find another source. Her reply, " Really? Did you call and pay? Did I give you a price? So it was not finalized. Maybe YOU should have followed up?" I was taken back by her response. Thankfully, the baker who did my cookies (The Messy Cookie who does amazing work!) saved the day. They may not be what I had originally planned for but she was gracious enough to help me out and at half the cost. Clearly a win! read more

She made the whole process very smooth and was very accommodating since I lived far away from her location. I was panicking because this is the last thing a bride needs especially when the wedding is a month away. I am very thankful that she took the lead and make sure the cake is exactly what I wanted. When we arrived at her house for the cake tasting, I couldn't believe just how wonderful her set-up was. I had Patty from Cake Elizabeth make the cakes for my twin's first birthday party and I couldn't be happier! We ordered a larger cake and 2 smaller "smash" cakes. Patty was one of the few bakers I called in southern Maine who makes fondant cakes and from the beginning she was nothing but sweet and professional! After talking over the phone, I emailed her some pictures and ideas we had for the cakes. After we solidified our order, I paid over the phone - so easy! She was able to arrange for a delivery of the cake for a small fee as well (we did not want to worry about picking up the cake ourselves and potentially ruining it on the way home!). And we could not be more satisfied with the finished product! The cakes surpassed our expectations both in appearance and flavor.
