A hidden treasure nestled away in Langleys industrial neighborhood. I first discovered their Main Street location and made it a regular stop. They make outstanding pies, hand pies, tarts, macaron's, breads and fresh baked --made to order cakes. Today was just to grab some macarons and a strawberry rhubarb hand pie. The passion fruit is delicious--:-). I love their baked goods so delectable and made with love. I also ordered a birthday cake --vanilla caramel which was delicious. The inside of the cake was moist and had a nice texture however, Just a little bit of feedback the icing on the cake was a thick slab of butter. Usually butter cream is sugary sweet and rich, but the cake must have been made by a trainee, because they forgot to add flavour tot he icing. It must have been a mistake because it tasted odd. Was planning on taking a picture but it was too good and I ate it all lol. The Almond Croissant is the BOMB. Not too sweet and so flaky. Also highly recommend the Chocolate Pecan tart. This is a grab & go place only but I highly recommend it. Stop in and say hi to the friendly staff! read more

This is a place we had planned to visit on our trip. In deed it is the first stop after we crossed the border as it is on the way to other destinations. This is our 2nd time we had their products. The first time we tried their goods is at a location in a ferry terminal. Foods are great as it is flavorful and not too sweet. Price is good as it is lower than many other comparable in WA. Croissant is crispy outside and soft inside. Almond croissant is recommended. The filling tastes just right. We got variety of goods, about 10 items. Nothing that you should not try. read more

I was in Langley for some errands and stopped by Sweet Thea's storefront in Langley. It's hidden away in an industrial area of Langley but easy to find. I got a ham and cheese croissant to go as well as a sourdough loaf and I was not disappointed. The bread was freshly made, and it definitely did not disappoint. I emailed the bakery twice, called once and dropped by their store to place a specialized order and got no where. When I dropped by the store they said to call. When I called they said to email. Email 2 times and never got a response. Terrible customer service a lost customer as I went somewhere else. I will say their food is good it's just a shame you can't actually make orders. read more

Discovered this little gem today at the kerrisdale market and apparently they are at most markets in the city. I sampled a Chocolate cookie and a ginger cookie and couldn't resist bringing a ginger cookie home for later! Also thought a lemon tart and coconut like tart needed a new home so they are in my fridge right now. Their demise is imminent! If you see Sweet Thea in your local market snap up some goodies for your next dinner party or to indulge late night when you want to reward yourself for something extra special! If you want fresh ingredients and well prepared pastries this is the spot. The croissants are amazing, the scones flaky, the hand pies have delicious buttery crust with ample filling. They also make artisan sourdough bread. I ordered a vanilla celebration cake with lemon and raspberries which is one of the best cakes that I have ever had. So excited to find Sweet Thea here at the Twassaan ferry to Nanaimo! Got a couple tarts and some chocolate croissants for breakfast. Also picked up the raspberry vanilla and the mango cordial syrups. Very tasty! They use cane sugar (no corn products!). Will use them over ice cream, cold teas and homemade soda. read more

Amazing pastries and baked goods. Genuine, delicious, tastes like grandma used to make. My favourites are the almond croissant (Ohhhh myyy god is it ever amazing) choco lava cookies, and the green olive sourdough (the kind of sourdough that is chewy, moist, and just perfect) They come to the New West Farmers Market on Thursdays and I am there almost every week to pick up some goodies. We bought their passionfruit cake for a graduation party and it was EXACTLY what we hoped for and more. It was not too sweet, tangy, soft, delicate and absolutely delicious. Customer service was great when we talked to them on the phone and the market pickup option was super convenient. Good lordie, this is my favourite bakery in all of Vancouver, hands down. I have never been to this location, but I have had a variety of different goodies at various farmers markets and it is always spectacular. i have tried their macrons, lemon tarts, and four different kinds of cookies and they have all been delicious. The macrons in particular are some of the best I have had. They are very light, and come in so many flavours. If you want to try some, but are unsure of what to get, the lemon is a great choice. The filling has a very light whipped consistency and it has a great lemon flavour. The lemon tart was also fabulous and the curd was a perfect balance of acidic and sweet. All around fantastic baked goods, and well worth the price. read more

We had our wedding cake made by Sweet Thea's and what a hit! We had a passion fruit coconut cake that was one of the most sinfully delicious treats we have ever tasted! we also has a slab cake done of the tuxedo chocolate and devoured every crumb. the cakes are so moist and light at the same time. Amazing and beautiful presentation. Very friendly and easy to work with staff. We are from Calgary and got married in Van. We thought it wasn't too far from the sky train and $60 later the cab dropped us off lol. When Thea heard about us taking a cab she had her husband give us a ride back to the skytrain! and this was with out ordering anything! The only thing sweeter than Thea are her baked treats! We rarely buy pies despite liking them. Almost all pies have far too much sugar and often the crust isn't anything to write home about. We heard good things about Sweet Thea from another vendor at the Trout Lake market so I decided to try one of their sour cherry pies. I talked quite a bit with the person running the stall, the husband of the chef - very friendly and informative. The sour cherry pie was great. Not too sweet, good flavour from the cherries and the crust was excellent. This will be our new go to place for pies and other pastries. read more

WOW. Sweet Thea comes to the Port Moody Winter Market every Sunday from 10-2 until April, and I got a double baked almond croissant for $4.5, and it is HUGE! I've been on the hunt for the best croissants, and this one is definitely up there. It had this sweet almond paste inside and was divine. I came back the week after and got a chocolate croissant for $4. You could just see the layers inside, and biting into it was like biting into flakey air. It was so delicious. I plan to come back every Sunday while they're at the winter market to get more croissants. So good! read more
