Do yourself a favor and try a cake pop or 8. Chocolate is my favorite. They are honestly the best I have ever had. If they offered a class on how to make them the way they do, I would definitely sign up. They are perfectly moist and simply dipped in chocolate. The size is just right and they are NEGATIVE calories!!! I look forward to visiting because I also get a cupcake and a cookie. I tell myself that I need to take some home for the kids so I buy double of what I'm craving. Then I really just hide the goodie box as soon as I get home and enjoy treats all week instead. This store has SO MANY delicious items to choose from. They are enforcing masks and social distancing. The customer service that we have received in the store has been top-notch! First, some favorites, They have absolutely AMAZING peanutbutter cookies! Their Ginger Snap cookie is fantastic as well. We've tried a few of their cupcakes and they were all very good. The Lemon strawberry cupcake was fantastic. Their sugar cookies are some of the best we've found. On the other end of the spectrum, we didn't care for the cake bites as much. I was hoping for something like a petits-fours, but the cake on these were too gooey for my liking. The frostings are delicious but quite rich and can be overwhelming on some of the frosted cookies. I had my Mothers 80th Birthday cake done by Sweet Themes. My Mom had requested Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting and as I know what kind of carrot cake she likes we tried cake from several places and this was by far the best. The cake was four layers of moist carrot cake and cream cheese and American butter cream frosting and absolutely delicious. I was able to work with the owner to customize the cake with a photo of my Mom's favorite Blake Shelton which she loved. Everyone at the party commented about the cake and several asked where I had gotten the cake. I would highly recommend this bakery for any special occasion cake you may need. Called Sweet Themes Bakery on a Saturday to see if they had the bandwidth to do a cake for the next Tuesday. They pulled through and the cakes were awesome! While the decorating was more than excellent, the flavors and overall texture of the cake and frosting were the best! I am a tough critic when it comes to baked goods, and this place didn't let me down at all! I would highly recommend them for cakes. I originally ordered the printing type paper for the Tongan flags but the color was off so they iced it all and made extras for the price difference! The Mickey Mouse cookies were for my oldest son's 2nd birthday and the flags for my youngest son's 1st birthday. I have nothing but nice things to say about Sweet Themes Bakery. I gush about them all the time. Not only is everything delicious, but the service is amazing. The first time I worked with them was for my son's zombie themed birthday party. I needed a zombie cake and brain cupcakes. I had originally been working with a different bakery a couple weeks prior to the party. The week of the party came and it was like they had disappeared off the face of the earth. I couldn't get a hold of them. It was the week of the party and I was beginning to think I was SOL! I called Sweet Themes and they made it happen I think four days before the party. Not only did they create EXACTLY what I wanted, they opened up on a closed day for me to get them, then made me and my dad a complimentary coffee! The cake and cupcakes were delicious and a complete hit with the kids. Now fast forward like 3-4 years to my wedding. As soon as me and my husband sat down to start planning, I already knew that I would be going to Sweet Themes again for my cake and cupcakes. I had spent months figuring out what I wanted and they gave me EXACTLY what I had envisioned. Plus the owner and her husband personally delivered them to our venue (camping wedding) the night before so I wouldn't have to think about it the day of the wedding, they even stayed and had dinner with us. Not only has everything tasted amazing, but the service has been like no other. I got a call from my best friends husband the day before her birthday asking me to bring the cake. Not much of a heads up. I yelped places close to my house and decided to try this bakery, crossing my fingers they would have something premade that was not only beautiful but also her favorite flavor- lemon with berry center. It's a cute little shop in the heart of downtown Kent right on Meeker. I come here during during varying times of the day and week -- whenever I'm in the area. There is ample street parking around the area. I've never had any issues finding a spot. Sometimes I do have to park at a bit of a distance but I don't mind the walk. I surely need it after I pack on the calories from consuming all the yumminess. I have had their varying baked goodies through out the years and I never had anything I didn't like. I love to come by here when ever I have unexpected last minute guests. I usually pick up a few of their bars to cut up into bite size chunks. They are perfect for serving on an elongated platter with a doily. It looks so purrrdy! Not to mention delicious! I also enjoy their espressos. I love to come by here Saturday mornings whenever the Kent Farmer's Market is going on. It's just a quick jaunt around the corner. This is also a perfect place to go to whenever a co-worker has a birthday. I can pick up some goodies and they will tie a cute ribbon of my choice on the pink bakery box. Not going to lie, I was in search of a birthday cake for my little sister and decided to yelp the nearest bakery to me and ended up here. This cute little bakery shop is located near Kent Station in a plaza that for some reason gives you old-town type of nostalgia. When you first enter the shop, you are immediately met by a display case filled with a variety of pastries and desserts. Everything looked so good that I had to order some extra things! So I caved and took a peanut butter cupcake and my boyfriend got a cookies n' creme cupcake. The frosting for both were both creamy and yummy! Although, there definitely was A LOT of peanut butter cream... I love cupcakes but man... I had to scrape a chunk of it off since it was that much. The chocolate cake base was the same for both cupcakes we got, and I would say it wasn't the best. If you tried trophy's cupcake, I would say the cake here was dry in comparison. Overall the cupcakes were okay, but honestly not something I would return back for. They also had a variety of macaroons which I unfortunately didn't get to order. But I did take a picture of the variety they had! After realizing my initial mission was to get a cake for my little sister, I headed over to their fridge to see what kinds of cake they had already pre-made. I was looking around and one caught my eye... a cake that had one of the cutest cake designs I've seen. It was designed with mini little pink macaroons with chocolate ganache design. The inside of the cake was rich in dark chocolate with a raspberry filling. So delicious, and my little sister loved it as well! Although, the mini macaroons had no flavor to it, just the taste of sugar. It really is just there for decoration since it wasn't flavored or anything. I purchased the cake for $30. Beautiful cake, but not something I would purchase again! As for customer service, I would say "meh." The young lady the helped me wasn't too helpful and didn't say much. The bakery wasn't a "must come back" kind of experience. I may visit again to try their other stuff if I pass by, especially their cake balls and macaroons! I went in today. I have a deathly peanut tree nut allergy. I told the owner when I walked in. She helped me and assured me their cleaning processes. She obviously couldn't guarantee anything and I chose to take the risk bc of how knowledgeable she was. To say the least.... That was the best sugar cookie I've ever had! I custom ordered a cake for a wedding shower at work. The custom ordering process was very easy and I liked that I could tell them exactly what I needed. I got an email back right away and confirmed my request. We decided on a design and I paid for the cake. I picked up the cake and was very impressed with how gorgeous it was. Even more beautiful than I expected. I ordered a 10" chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling. The cake itself was good, but for having 4 layers I felt it was very thin on the filling. The frosting was good, not overly sweet which is always a plus. Overall a gorgeous cake that was good. I would like to try more stuff in this cute shop. read more

I bought a birthday cake and was disappointed with the result and the flavor. I had sent two photos and asked for a mix of the two designs. The final product didn't incorporate anything from the second photo. It was beautiful but it wasn't what we had discussed and agreed on. Also, they really oversold me on the size. We had more than double what we needed per person. It was a crazy amount of cake. Lastly, the flavor was off: didn't get the filling we had ordered and the buttercream was too sweet. I went back to Sweet Themes today and I decided to try the Pecan Scone. If you like pecan pie then you'll LOVE the Maple Pecan Scone!! I'm ashamed to say that I already wish I had another one for tomorrow morning. I also noticed that they carry Harney and Sons tea! Allison, who is super nice, let me smell the teas that they carry and gave me some helpful suggestions based on what I currently drink. FYI you can buy most of their teas by the cup (brewed) or by the tin and she carries a lot of H&S teas that Barnes and Nobles doesn't. I'll definitely be back to load up on tea tins and scones! read more
