The person who was initially supposed to make the cake for the wedding was unable to do so due to some life events, and so, with three weeks to go until the ceremony, we had to find some alternate plans! Make sure you keep your receipts!!!!! We came to book our wedding cake on 01/01/23 for our wedding this summer and deposited $100. Then I emailed him on April 12th to ask if we can book their desserts too and he said we will need to deposit another $100 and we went to the store deposit another $100. So $200 deposited. Today I tried to finalize my order and it shows only 100 deposit. I emailed Bart and asked why and the confusion arise. But instead of solving the problem carefully, he ignored a lot of details from the receipts I sent him as proof of 2 deposits, and said those the same receipts! He even said we should go somewhere else that suits us better, and he is absolutely right on that! After the back and forth with proofs of deposits and contracts, he finally realized his mistake. BUT, no sorry, no apologize, and accepted to refund $200 like I requested. We are customers who paid deposits on time, booked our wedding cake way ahead of time, and have an order of over $1200. To Bart maybe losing one client don't really hurt him. But to a bride that got her wedding cake canceled before her wedding is disappointing. This is terrible customer service for the amount of money we spend. $1252 for us is not a small amount, and all we asked was why deposit is not $200 like we paid. read more

Creme de la creme did my wedding cake many years back. Haven't tried their other pastries until this past week. They have some open hours to drop in and their cold case is full. There is plenty of off street parking. I picked up 8 cupcakes, some lemon bars, and a slide of cake. Reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the coconut cupcake, we also got chocolate, lemon raspberry, birthday cake and pink champagne. Some of my family thought that there was too much frosting on the cupcakes, but that's an easy fix. Definitely support this local shop. We had hired Cakes by Creme de la Creme to provide some mini desserts for our dessert table since we weren't a fan of traditional cake. I will say that every time I got someone on the phone to either ask questions, make payments, etc, the person on the other side was always cordial and knowledgeable. That being said, the email communicator was less than as illustrious. We had tried to set up a tasting for our desserts, but it was difficult for us to get a response. When we finally did get one, we were told they finally had time to do our sample set because wedding season slowed down...not sure why we weren't given the same priority as other weddings, but I assume its because we weren't getting a super expensive cake. Nevertheless, I inquired if a Saturday was a good time to pick it up and I didn't get a confirmation. Then the shop closed for a week and a half so I sent another email saying I didn't hear from them and if we could set up another time for pickup. A couple of days after the shop opened back up, I received an email, saying that it had been ready for me on Saturday and that he "didn't feel like he needed to respond to me"....Which is weird because who assumes that a conversation is concluded when the last message was a question. Nevertheless, he sent a poorly lit photo of the desserts in a style that didn't quite match, so I sent another email citing a pinterest board with more of the aesthetic I was going for. In the end, the desserts looked and tasted great, but we never did get to taste them before the wedding. the desserts were a lower priority for us, and for my mental health, I let it go, but just something for others to keep in mind if you're considering having them cater your wedding. read more
