Much speedier than Sugar Sluggishness, that's for sure. We actually really like Sugar Rush, or rather Barbi does. Cupcakes are fresh and delicious, they make them right when you order them. They are very sweet, probably too much so, but very tasty too. Some people don't like it at all, some love it, but the real test is for you to come and try and for yourself and see what you think. Sadly there are businesses here that have closed up and shuttered and moved out, as well as some other stuff that clings to life and does just enough business to survive. It's important that you give them your business because so many have already packed up and gone. It's across the street from my gym which is very dangerous. read more

I love supporting Black-owned businesses and I love walking into an establishment and being called Queen!!! I'll be back just for the great service and the delicious treats they have! This place is great! You have a lot of comfortable seating and they even have a room where you or your children can watch tv while you enjoy your sweets! They have a lot of delicious cupcakes, cakes, cookies, pies, cheesecake and parfaits. They have a display so you can see exactly what you are getting when you order. I would normally give this a "1" but I am hoping beyond hope that this was just a bad day. This was my first time visiting this location and the taste of my desserts was very disappointing. I ordered peach cobbler and a raisin and nut cookie. First of all, Sugar Rush is known for its cobbler. Although this one smelled good, I immediately thought it was not cooked enough by the color of the crust. There was also very little juice in this serving leaving the cobbler quite dry. I literally took one bite and threw it away. Then, I moved on to the cookie. Hmmm...an odd flavor threw off the taste. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but it did not remind me of an oatmeal raisin cookie at all. I should have followed by first intuition and ordered tea cakes. My daughter's first baby shower was less than a week away. I had ordered cupcakes from a baker but there was a mix in communication so she couldn't ship the cupcakes because she was in a different state. My back was against the wall and anxiety levels were extremely high. I went to Sweet Timez storefront location, the owner reassured me the cupcakes would be ready the day before the baby shower. I arrived Friday picked up the cupcakes, they were so fresh, smelled amazing and she even threw in some bonus cupcakes. The cupcakes were the #1 hit amongst the treats table. My daughter almost ate a dozen by herself. I ordered the variety package so we could taste the love you infused into each cupcake. Went in to ask about Gluten free, my son and I have severe intolerance to it. Don't expect anyone to ever carry baked goods that are gluten free. When I asked about it the woman went back to ask. She came back out and basically made fun of the intolerance. She said and I quote " we don't have any of that VEGAN, or Sugar free/gluten free products. All our product are made from REAL ingredients. " I didn't need all that. I just asked if they carried it or ever made cakes the were gluten free. I realize it's different and kind of a pain. This place is the ONLY bakery you need for fresh, from scratch desserts! I stopped into this location for some cookies and slices of peach cobbler (the BEST cobbler outside of a Southern family reunion!!!), and I noticed something neat. A couple of years ago, I engaged the Stella Link store to make a cake for my mother's birthday. Her fave is coconut cake with pineapple custard between the layers, which they were happy to make. Coconut cakes are fun, but not SHINY, and there was no established method of dressing them up, so I suggested some edible glitter. The cake was beautiful and SUPER-SCRUMPTIOUS, and became a company thing. What a nice souvenir for us--they call it TEMPTATION, and they have a cupcake version, too. You NEED to use Sugar Rush in all of their locations for your occasional desserts, or just because they use all of the best ingredients, and make everything with a pride and care that cannot be matched! I had such high hopes for trying this location out. However it went poorly. Due to covid the location opens at 11am during the week. So of course I arrived around 11:15a looking forward to trying out their cookies and ordering the cupcakes for a Mother's Day gift. When I opened the door the place looked empty. No pies, cookies for puddings ready. In fact the owner walked in as I was in the process of inquiring on the cupcake order. In hand the owner had a bag with pilsbury pie crust. How you walk in with pre-made pie crust and charge prices that indicates all fresh ingredients?? I was shocked. In addition the prices for standard cupcakes weren't at all what was advertised. This is a cute little spot if you are in need of a sweet treat. The staff is super friendly. I had the pudding and peach cobbler cupcake. No I did not eat 2 in one sitting, I just took a few bites of each. The peach cobbler was too sweet for my liking but the pudding one was devine. It was very moist and delicious. Sugar rush gave u exactly what it says a sugar rush . I got the westchase cupcake it was really good . We also got the lemon cake and sugar cakes . My sister and niece said it was good . The decor it really nice and I love the pink. I give it three stars because the person Jada that was working there could have have been a little more friendly and should have given some suggestions. The have a set up in the back where u can sit down and talk which is nice with a tv. Prices aren't that bad could have been a little more cheaper for the taste. But overall great taste. She told me what she liked and what the options where and let me kind of go from there. I ended up getting a peach cobbler, 7up cake, sweet potato pie, and the house cake( with your choice of frosting) I chose butter cream. And this all cost me 20 dollars! That's all! I stopped by today to treat myself to a Friday pick me up. It seems as if they were out of everything that I asked for, the cashier never made suggestions or anything. The energy was very unpleasant and the wait time was ridiculous. I've been coming to this location for a while and now it seems like the customer service has went down and the prices went up.
