I visited this bakery, when I was coming for breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Sweet Tooth is located in an industrial section of Ritchie Road, in Capitol Heights. I entered with the intention of purchasing baked goods, as snowstorm snacks, but had no idea they also have a full food menu. I ordered the strawberry shortcake, which was excellent!! It was moist and sweet and the strawberries tasted great. I also had a few cookies and some pound cake, which were all good. Service was quick and friendly and I was able to sample their bean soup which was nice and hot and seasoned well! This location as a few parking spots, that they share with other businesses, and you are able to sit down inside of the restaurant. They also bake cakes. I have been driving past this place for at least 10 years, and decided to pop in for the first time today while in the area. I had no idea that in addition to sweets, they also offer a full menu of food/meals. I also learned that they've been open for almost 30 years. I decided to go with a slice of vanilla cake with chocolate icing, and it was pretty dry, but the flavor was good. The customer service was wonderful, so I will go back to try one of the entrees. I stopped pass this place after my daughters moving up ceremony because I heard they had good desserts. I sent my wife and daughter inside and they were greeted my a nice gentlemen. He made a series of good suggestions and ultimately we got lots of sweets. Lemon Cake, Oreo Cupcakes, Snickerdoodle Cookies, Strawberry Cupcakes, and pie. And, my favorite, sweet treats! I ordered a lemon pound cake slice and snickerdoodle cookie. I really enjoyed the snickerdoodle cookie! If you love cookies on the crunchier side, you'll love these! The flavor on the lemon pound cake was amazing. My only distaste was that the cake was a little dry. I love that both the cake and cookie weren't overly sweet. Service was very vibrant and friendly! I overheard one of the managers offering to write happy birthday on cake after a customer stated it was for a birthday party. It's the little, thoughtful gestures that make businesses stand out and make me want to continue to support. Interior is small with a few tables for dine in. Price point is affordable. I paid $5 for the cake slice and cookie. Parking is free but very limited. They weren't fully open for business the day I went, so their menu options were limited. It was a Bible cake but when you cut the cake and taste the cake it was nothing but fondant aka icing. My brother gave me $400. To pay them and i gave them a $10. Tip. No one at the party like the cake . But good thing i had a cake from the wegman. It saved the day. My mom is 79 now at this was when she was 75 . Oct 28 is her bday. With this said . I have ordered cakes and cheesecakes from there before, but Friday July 11th was my first time ordering food via door dash. I ordered a steak and cheese with sweet potatoe fries. The steak and cheese was absolutely delicious. The bread was soft. I had dental work the day before and the sandwich didn't hurt my mouth at all. When I placed my order I didn't specify the condiments I wanted, Latoya called me to see exactly what I wanted on my sandwich. She was very professional. Until recently, I thought this place only did cakes and pastries. I had no idea they served food until one of my favorite food influencers (shout out to Big Schlim!) put me on game. They have pretty good chicken tenders and gyros. Nothing particularly authentic, but it is good grub for the price. The location is kinda sketch. I told the gentleman who answered of my "last minute" need and he was like let me call you right back. When I tell you they were not only able to accommodate me, they were super timely! The fries were a bit soggy and the Mac & Cheese had an interesting taste. It was a bit peppery and tasted like it had curry or turmeric in it. The strawberry cupcake and strawberry shortcake, however, were DELICIOUS. Baked goods are definitely their strong suit, hence the name. I plan on ordering cakes from here again. I asked for a vanilla base cake mix and when I cut into the cake, it clearly was a lemon cake mix.
