By far the worst boba place I've been to. I ordered a mango passion fruit smoothie, and it tastes like it was made using ice, passion fruit flavored powder, and mango nectar concentrate. No dairy to smoothen the taste. The flavor was overly sweet, and very artificial. Additionally, the ice was not blended very well, so there are fairly large ice shards in the drink. It's closer to an overly-syruped shaved ice than a smoothie. Lastly, the straws provided are not long enough to properly stir the boba at the bottom while sipping. This is the second time I've been here. The first time I ordered the coconut pudding, and was similarly disappointed by that. It had the consistency of a gogurt, but without any flavor. So I always give boba places two tries before a third just in case 1st was good and 2nd was meh. I always always get the same order at any boba shop to gauge how good it'll be. I fricking love my boba. So when I first came here during soft opening, the milk tea was perfect itself, the boba balls didn't have any sweetness to it tho. I actually suggested they should do add honey or something to them they should do that and it'd be 10/10. I came literally 2 days later and ordered the same way. Idk if it was an off day but 1- the boba was still not sweetened and lil tea tasted off. So yesterday I came to see if it would be meh for a second time or be good like the first time. It was amazing!! The boba itself had finally some sweetness to it, milk tea was perfect and they didn't go crazy on ice (I usually ask half ice but I don't think I asked that this time). Hello owner/manager. I am a new customer to the Fair Oaks location. First time ordering, no problem a few days ago. What I ordered matched the e-mail receipt and drinks. I did ask for a paper receipt but was told it is all done by email now a days. Today I ordered 3 drinks, got the drinks and the email receipt arrived after I left the Fair Oaks location. Technically the email receipt matched what I was given, but it was NOT what I ordered. I was charged and given extra boba that I did not ask for. I only asked for 1 favor per drink and was charged/give 3 flavors in each drink. Again if I had a paper receipt given to me, I would have caught the error. I never mentioned or asked for the other 2 flavors. Who needs that much boba? Not too happy with the error and when I called the location to talk about the issues at 5:05pm, the staff did not seem to care. It would be a bit of a drive to fix the error. Can you talk to your Fair Oaks staff about reading back the order and if a customer wants a paper receipt, somehow print it? If I saw the receipt before leaving, we could have fixed this without me writing to you. It was an extra few dollars of boba I was not expecting to get. 25% of the large cup is boba. I was so happy when this place opened up near my house. I was boba curious and have made it my mission to work my way through their menu. I have tried a few other places but this is my favorite. My favorites are: Matcha Rose latte, Oolong Milk tea, Hong Kong Milk tea, and Earl Grey Milk tea. For a sweeter drink I like the Thai Milk tea, the Crème brûlée, Pearl Milk and the Strawberry flower is pretty good. Today I have the peach Oolong and it was good. The only one I wasn't crazy about was the mango match. The ube was ok but not my favorite. The boba is chewy and sweet. I opt for oatmilk most days and though it's a bit costly I think that you get a really good drink and support a local business rather than a corporate coffee chain that fills cups with too much ice.
