I'm always on the lookout to try new boba places and of course went on Yelp to see what was near my location; and Sweetea looked good. Instead of getting a Thai Tea with Boba as planned, I decided to try one of their Sweetea Special drinks, the Mangosago. The cashier who took my order seemed a little aloof, or maybe was just shy, not sure. I love mangoes and the Mangosago is delicious! It is fresh mango and coconut sago. It's so delicious- the mango and coconut sago flavors pair so well together. I usually get boba but having the sago was a fun change; and they are similar. The woman who made my drink seemed genuinely nice and was very friendly. The decor is minimalist cute with a couple small sitting areas if you want to enjoy your drink there. I saw some other drinks I would like to try next visit but, it would be hard to top the Mangosago for me! read more

My favorite place to go for Boba if I am south of the strip or in Henderson area. They have so many toppings and tea options to where I can definitely pick the drink I want based on the mood I'm in. I have been coming here for years. It's one of my fave places to go with my friends and it was technically my first introduction to milk tea and boba. Sweetea is my go to boba spot in my area! There are a few boba spots in the area but Sweetea is always a good choice. I do wish they had a points card or system, so that's one downfall. But they have a ton of flavors and different toppings - from popping pearls, to honey boba, to crème brûlée! I'm also lactose intolerant so I'm happy they have milk alternatives. I love the cute cat decoration inside too. It's a quaint spot, so I usually order and run errands after I get my drink. Definitely recommend for a quick, delicious tea or boba drink. Oh! Glad I found this place. The location was in a easy to find area. The space itself is spacious with some seating and trendy decor. I liked seeing the drink images as I entered, as well as the edgy logo which I find very cool. The menu itself has a vast variety of drinks, so there's something for everyone. I ordered the Strawberry Match drink which was PERFECT! The matcha wasn't sweet, the strawberry purée at the bottom was, so together it was a good balance. The overall pricing was on par, if not fairly more reasonable, than other boba places here in Vegas. My friend ordered a Rose drink, which she enjoyed as well. The only thing I would change would be offering some type of snacks. This place is adorable. Staff is always friendly. I love the Passion Power with black tea, and add mango popping boba. Comes with lemon and is very refreshing. Just like iced tea but with delicious sweet treat in almost every sip! The inside is really cute. There's a lot of great spots for taking selfies inside... So come ready for photos. The green tea matcha mousse is also pretty yummy little dessert. Smoothies are also good. I can't comment on any of the other drinks, because Passion Power is so good I've never tried anything else! This is such a cute place! It's kind of tucked away in the shopping center, but if you look out for the sign, it's easy to find. The inside of the shop looks and smells clean and there is a good amount of seating for a tea shop. The staff are super friendly and helpful with recommendations. I decided to order a tropical blend smoothie (pineapple, passion fruit, and mango) with boba my first time in. The boba were fresh and perfectly chewy. Initially, they're warm which is a nice pairing with the cold smoothie. The smoothie was well blended and tasted like a day at the beach in a cup. They were also selling drink sized pool floats when I was in, around $2-2.50 each. It was cute and different and I'm glad I got one because I've been using it a lot. Don't forget to check in on yelp for 5% off and also make sure to get a loyalty punch card, because you'll definitely want to come back. If you don't, take a sip and join the bourgeois boba brigade. You'll get cravings that will warrant a visit to your nearest cheese foam dealer. This place happened to be nearby so I gave it a shot: -- JASMINE GREEN TEA SEA SALT CHEESE TOP ($4.50): On my first visit I learned that they brew their teas fresh to order. Like a bartender mixing a martini, they use shakers to craft your drink. With cheese tops, be sure to drink at a 45 degree angle to get the right cream/tea ratio. Side note: I don't usually feel wired after drinking tea, but I guess it's a lot of caffeine if all their drinks only come in 24 oz. Great value though! -- MATCHA LATTE ($3.95): Second visit. Tried this in hopes of milking down the caffeine factor. I enjoyed it. Reminded me of SBux's, but with boba (extra $0.50). -- JASMINE MILK TEA ($3.95): Third visit. This place is like my second home. Before all this Corona crap came about I was coming here almost every other day. Sometimes, I would bring my laptop and do things like bills, Yelp reviews, or work related things while sipping on whatever beverage I decided on for that day. Their wifi is pretty good. Password is "ilovesweetea". As for the drinks, I get either a smoothie or a fruit tea. I mainly get a fruit tea for I love green tea. I have pretty much tried all the fruit tea flavors and they are all pretty good. On the days I can't make up my mind I always end up getting the "All About Fruits Tea" ($4.95). Your choice of green or black tea. Comes with watermelon, strawberry, mango, passion fruit, lime, and lemon. Only comes in a large size. Of course I always have boba with it and even add extra. It even comes with a toothpick thingy taped on the side so that you can pick at the fruits towards the end of the your drink instead of having to go bottoms up to try and get all those fruits to slide into your mouth. Located in a pretty good sized plaza area on the corner of Silverado Ranch Parkway and Maryland Parkway, they are right next to a Fantastic Sam's and a Chinese restaurant. Once you see Albertson's these guys are about 15 yards away. They have several tables and chairs for you to hang out and just chill for a few. Hours before the corona thing were 11 pm to 9 pm everyday. For now it is temporarily 1 pm to 7 pm instead pick up only so call ahead. And YES, boba drinks are an essential need in my book. Service has always been pleasant each time I have been here. You can tell them to make your drink not too sweet if you are not too much into sugar. Bathrooms are always cleaned regularly. In closing, there is a 5% percent discount when you check in so dont forget to do that first and show it to them before you pay. You can also get a punch card which can get you a free drink after buying 10. They have milk tea and sea salt milk tea if fruit tea and smoothies are not your thing. If you've seen some my other reviews, you'll know how happy I've been with the growth of the bubble tea scene in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, not every entrant can be a winner. The Eastern Avenue corridor south of the 215 Highway has a lot of awesome stuff in this category already, so I don't need to check out new shops because there are plenty of alternatives. However, Sweetea did catch my eye on Yelp due to its location. At the Southwest corner of Maryland Pkwy and Silverado Ranch, it's not far from my other favorite shops, and I actually have a friend who lives within walking distance. However, I didn't actually try their drinks until a co-worker stopped nearby for lunch. I asked her to pick up for me a Jasmine Green Tea w/ Sea Salt Cheese Top ($4.50, 24 oz). The sea salt cheese top is not an original concept, but I do like theirs. The flavor is highly reminiscent of typical cream cheese, like what you spread on a bagel, and it's not too sweet or thick. The cup top has a practical design too, with an oval opening for you to sip it easily and a fun little plastic stopper. All of those positives couldn't outweigh how the tea was far too light. The jasmine flavor was faint if present at all, and the overall blend of the cheese top and the green tea flavor is the weakest of the cheese teas which I've had so far. I'm excluding non-cheese sea salt creams from that list - speaking of which though, I wouldn't say that there was much salt flavor. I decided not to finalize my review until I had a second drink, and what better to try than the Classic Milk Tea ($3.95) w/ Boba ($0.50)? I ordered exactly that tonight when I stopped by after dropping off my aforementioned friend. I was able to see the employees preparing drinks freshly and shaking them by hand, which is typically a good sign. However, the tea didn't taste as strongly as other typical black teas, and after a while, I realized that I was picking up a subtle chocolatey flavor which was masking everything else. That's not a "classic" part of milk tea. They only have the 24 oz (a typical "large") cup size here, which is puzzling given how often people order 16 oz sizes at other bubble tea joints. At least you don't have to worry about these drinks being too sweet. I'd asked for both drinks to be less sweet, and i actually tasted less sugar I'd typically expect. Maybe the normal sweetness level would be my "sweet spot." As for the boba, they had a not-quite-perfect chewiness and very little if any flavor. They're certainly no honey boba. Seating isn't plentiful, but it wasn't very crowded. It looked like most people treat it as a grab-and-go location. The employees during my visit were friendly. The music wasn't too loud, and they offer free Wi-Fi. Sweetea is at best a 3.5 star place for me. I would have given them a higher rating a couple of years ago, and their prices are very reasonable, but they simply don't match the flavors of their nearby, current competition. Don't go out of your way to try Sweetea; just do so if you're able to jog over as easily as my friend. read more

I tried the (green) milk tea with cheese foam twice in SF, and they were surprisingly good. I heard Sweetea makes them, so I decided to check it out on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the classic milk tea with cheese foam; the milk tea itself is really strong! smooth and creamy like HK milk tea, which I love! The milk tea was so strong that it kept me up all night, and mind you, nothing.. not even coffee can stop me from falling asleep. Their milk tea definitely lasted me through 13-14 hours of studying, plus a drunk call from a friend at 3am asking me to game (and I did for 2 hours). haha. Anyways, the proper way to drink these foam tops is to tilt the cup at a 45-degree angle and sip sip! I admit I didn't do it, that's extra effort for me. lol. So I drank out of a straw, hence I couldn't taste the cheese until I was almost done with my drink I'd definitely come back as I do want to try their other drinks.
