For a long time, I was very anti-spending a certain amount for a salad, but THIS was worth it. My coworkers would occasionally eat at Sweetgreen, and the FOMO I was feeling made me want to try it, so I did. I did an online order for pickup so i didnt get to interact with anyone or the space. I ordered the harvest bowl but customized it to my liking. To my harvest bowl I added spicy broccol, pickled onions, avocado, i replaced the goat cheese with parmesan and removed the balsamic vigera for the Lime Cilantro Jalapeno Vinaigrette, spicy cashew sauce, and green goddess ranch on the side. My salad was so good, I needed some privacy. It was also a good amount of food. I couldn't finish my food, so I actually saved half of it to eat an hour later :). I will most definitely be back and try some of the other bowls and salads ! read more

So fresh and clean! I travel a lot for work. I also think too much about what to eat, where, and when. Hello Sweetgreen! This chain is very consistent. Honestly, no matter which one I go to I am always satisfied with the care they put into each of the ingredients and recipes. I can always count on it to be a consistent and healthy meal. Located right off of route 1 the location is perfectly located. However parking can be a little tricky at times. Directly behind the restaurant is a small pay to park lot. Sweetgreen is delicious and there are so many ways to customize. That being said, if you can afford it great, but I'm finding it to be way too expensive. I got a steakhouse chopped and it did not fill me up, even with the quinoa and steak. For almost $20 I'd need a bit more. Flavor wise it was pretty good and I loved the ratio of toppings. Steak was reallyyy good, not dry at all like most places. I'm more of a Chop't person for my salads! I ended up downloading the app - it lets you rack up points and eventually, a free salad! I've been to this location a few times and the one thing I don't care for is the parking! I just end up parking in a Zipcar parking space but that's because I'm just running in to grab my pre-ordered meal! I won't recommend parking there long term! Right now due to the pandemic they're not open for dine-in. I'm not sure of their hours of operation. The last time I was here, about a week ago, I got the green goddess salad. You have to truly be a salad fan to enjoy sweet green, but the customizations are so ample that you can't go wrong, there's something for any salad lover. They do also have some warm bowls, I'd relate this to a fancier cava. I haven't tried any of those however. I stick with the salads. This time I kept it simple with a Caesar but I've tried a lot a few of their preset salads so far! I think next time I would get a different salad instead however. Cons: avocado is bad sometimes and they include it. The Caesar dressing is runny and smells potent. Overall, it's a decent spot for a salad. I requested my fish be mixed in as well which he did. They were all so friendly and nice and had great customer service. I would definitely come back here. The restaurant is clean and well organized. I remember my initial resistance to Sweetgreen. I didn't believe that they could put together a salad or bowl that I would be willing to pay $10-$15 for...but I was wrong. Sweetgreen has become my go-to when I do not want to cook, but I need my "healthy," fix. Sometimes I literally just want a bowl of salad and it has to come from Sweetgreen. For this location, I definitely use the app to customize my salad ahead of time. The parking is limited and super tricky here, so I like to run in, grab my salad and get back to my car. But, the app limits the amount of modifications you can make to a salad, which is limiting and frustrating, but I make it work. My current favorite salads is the harvest bowl (no cheese, no chicken, sub in steelhead)...I am on a plant based journey so occasionally eating fish. I also enjoy their sweet potatoes and aaallll of their dressings are delish. I always get dressing on the side if I pick up because I like to determine how much dressing I want on my salad because everyone's "medium" or "light" is different. Anyway, my previous favorites are the hummus tahina (I think it's discontinued) and the chicken tostada - if you eat chicken, always swap in the blackened chicken. It's so much better. The premium sweet potatoes are superb and the crispy rice is really good and adds a nice crunch to salads. If you want to come here, I recommend using the app so you don't have to find parking. However, if you are not in a hurry and don't mind using the paid parking garage or parking in parking lot across the street, go for it. read more

I had the Hummus Tahina salad and it was healthy and delicious. I liked the mixture of chopped romaine and shredded kale, it gave the salad some texture and crunch. The generous portion of housemade hummus on top was fresh and went great with the falafel. The falafel wasn't my favorite, it was a little too dry for my taste (CAVA falafel FTW). There is metered parking behind the building, but a limited number of spots. It was only $1 for an hour, not bad at all! We went on a Sunday and managed to avoid the weekday campus rush. I've been meaning to try Sweetgreen for the longest and I'm glad I finally did. They have salads and warm bowls with a line style buffet similar to Chipotle. I'm come here probably 3/4 times and have always enjoyed my meal! They have vegan, vegetarian, and meat options! I usually spend between 12-14$ here but I will say I feel full after! The cool fall weather as of late had me in the mood for a 'seasonal' meal and I was happy to find a variety of options that were hard to choose from since they each looked very good. The majority of seasonal options were only available for online ordering - I'm glad I looked it up before driving directly to the location. I parked in the wrong lot (behind the Board and Brew) but it was a short walk to the location to pick up my order. While walking up there are signs to make sure your order is ready before entering, which I believe is a helpful and necessary precaution to keep the inside from becoming crowded. I'm not sure what items were initially cold or warm but I ended up warming up the entire bowl and everything tasted fresh. The chicken thigh meat was tender and the roasted sweet potatoes were a good texture. I would've preferred more brussel sprout slaw (I feel like there were more walnuts than actual slaw) but the small bit I had with the basil was good. There was a decent amount of cauliflower rice and warm wild rice. I'm not sure what the cranberry maple vinaigrette is intended to be used for but adding a little to the rice gave it a lot move flavor and bite. I didn't have to interact with anyone and the order was conveniently located right at the door so you can grab your optional bag and utensil. I have never been so magically impressed by a plate of food as I been here. I ordered two customized salad trays and let me tell you, when I opened that eco-friendly container I was just blown away. The tray itself was huge and made of all cardboard including the top - quite the effort of a restaurant business to go all out eco-friendly, since most "eco" containers still use plastic tops (bad bad bad). It was taped down to the sides to further keep the order in place, how nice of them, but they can up up their eco-friendliness by using paper tape, just a suggestion. Anyways back to point... So I opened my tray and was met with a beautiful flora and fauna of strategically placed assortment of raw veggies. I've never been so mesmerized staring 10 mins straight into a plate of food. I can hear people at work looking at my direction gossiping and chuckling about how ridiculous I was behaving towards a plate of food. But I couldn't help myself, it was such a beautiful piece of artwork, with such variant colors, and was like a little garden piece bursting with colorful greenery and coming alive in front of me. Now I'm just trailing on with my stupidity haha I don't care what you think. Point is, this food was masterful... and fresh as h-l. I shared some with my coworker lol who rarely goes out and she agreed, some of the freshest greenery she has tried in her life. Their drinks? They expect me to consume it BY 7:30pm within the same day lol. I find it so funny how they plaster that on the drink, even though it seems to be(?) a transported item based on the label. I was negligent to try the hibiscus tea, I was more intrigued with the jasmine one. But my brain cells confused me when I ended up preferring the former over the latter. I normally hate hibiscus tea. I've tried it at several locations and it always leaves a scratchy taste in my throat that I don't like. But when I opened that bottle of hibiscus tea this time.. I took a quick sniff out of curiosity and just... WOW. The smell was so empowering, it was literally like digging your nose into a bucket of freshly sieved wild flowers with the most hypnotizing scent. I didn't think hibiscus smelled this freaking good. I was really.. have to say, entranced by this this thing. The jasmine tea tasted like they used dried, and not live jasmine flowers. Otherwise, it was still pretty nice. Both drinks contain zero sugar, so you get the full taste and aroma of the ingredients used without added sugar to kill the taste. Everything about this place was amazing. The service was courteous, was greeted by a young Hispanic gentleman in glasses, with the most sincerest personality; the food and preparation was beyond astounding, and the atmosphere was so welcoming and cozy. It was like walking into the entrance of a fancy hotel lobby. It is a very beautifully designed restaurant. Now I know where my to-go spot is for salads! read more

I really appreciate this place. Salad really isn't my thing, but here, this is as good as a salad that I've had. Not only that, but big props to sweet green posting a board up that has many of their ingredients and where they source them from. It was nice to see a local cheese farmer that we've worked with in school, providing their cheese to Sweetgreen. Also, the fact that I know it's high quality cheese makes me have more confidence in the rest of their ingredients. This location was clean, the employees were nice and the service was extremely fast. The tables and inside was really nice and the employees seemed to work hard to keep up factor. I have the superfood bowl and my friend had the hummus tahina. He said he comes here 4 times per week for his salad. Since my superfood bowl, I have come here twice. I really enjoyed this spot and it's great for carryout. It's not great if you are driving from somewhere to get here. There aren't many god options for parking. read more

The District Cobb and frozen yogurt here are amazing. I literally have middle of the night cravings for their froyo. I usually get the plain with raspberry, blueberry, and coconut flakes or chocolate/plain twist with hazelnut strawberries and blueberries. Sooo good. Out of desperation, I'll crawl over from the Varsity and just gorge myself. However, this location is really pretty bleh now that I've been to their other locations in Bethesda and Georgetown. The salad ingredients just don't seem as fresh. After trying out the same salads at other places, I can tell you there is a huge difference. Most of the staff are kind of unfriendly including the guy in charge. They just don't care or are unsatisfied and it really shows. It's not like this is a new development. Decent salad place with plenty of options for customizing your order. It's convenient to my home and a good option for dinner after a long day. The parking at this location is minimal. As a frequent customer of Sweetgreen (order lunch from them via ubereats at least once a week) one is my biggest frustrations is having to wait 20-30 mins after i put my order in on the app to have my salad made. I placed the order at 5:15p, the only option for pickup was 5:45p. I arrived here at 5:34p and headed to the counter for my order. There were 3 other patrons who'd walked in and were in line. The employee looked at my ticket and said "it says 5:45p, it'll be ready then". Meanwhile the "walk-in" patron orders were completed and they left. I am now waiting for my salad to finish being made. Is 20 mins not adequate time? What's the benefit of using an app ordering system if i still have to wait once i arrive?? Oh. And they don't accept cash payment. Went to sweetgreen yesterday to get my favorite salad, "Shroomami" which I have been ordering for a long time The dressing according to the sign in Sweetgreen is miso-sesame-ginger dressing. The sesame is a toasted sesame oil and the dressing is brownish in color. Yesterday the dressing was an orange-ish miso dressing that was very salty from the miso and no sesame oil and the dressing had no balance. At first I thought the wrong dressing had been added, and told the staff that there is no toasted sesame oil, but then they showed me the bottle of the miso sesame ginger dressing and it is now a different dressing - one that I do not like at all. My only complaint is with corporate SweetGreen - if you are going to change the dressings, please let your customers know and change the sign - it is incorrect. The employees at the store were fantastic, super patient with me - even offering to make me another salad. They were very customer oriented and I greatly appreciated their kindness. The employees (2 young women at the Dupont location) get 5 stars, the salad gets 1 star - a bad change to a good salad. read more

I've eaten at this location 3 times and out of the 3 times I've gotten sick twice. The first time I got sick I gave them the benefit of the doubt and told myself I was probably just sensitive to the dressing or something, but the second time I got sick I knew it had to be something more. I'm not sure if it's how they handle the food or what but I always get vegetarian bowls so I'm not getting sick from animal products. I would suggest an evaluation of the staff and preparation of the food. UPDATE: Talked to my roommate about it and SHE TOO got sick when she ate at THIS LOCATION. Cutting corners and doing things the cheap way or the quick way does not work in restaurants. Period. Chipotle did this and had to remodel their whole food preparation guidelines!
