I visited this Panera Bread around 11:30 a.m. hoping to order breakfast, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When we walked in, we stood at the counter for several minutes without anyone greeting us or asking if we needed assistance. The only employee visible was a woman at the front who was focused on throwing away breakfast items. She never looked up or acknowledged that customers were waiting. Eventually, I walked over and asked if breakfast was still being served. She simply replied, "No." As I was speaking with her, I watched her remove three breakfast quiches from the display, place them into a bag, and throw them away. She then took down the breakfast signs. It was frustrating because Panera could have sold those quiches instead of discarding them while customers were actively asking for breakfast. A simple response such as, "Breakfast has ended, but these are the last quiches we have available if you're interested," would have been much better customer service. I also noticed another customer had the same experience. He had to walk over to the employee because she never acknowledged anyone waiting at the counter. I don't know why we were ignored or whether there was another reason, but the lack of acknowledgment and customer service was concerning. After the interaction, I no longer felt comfortable ordering food that was being prepared by someone with that attitude, so I left without making a purchase. I hope management reviews this situation and reminds employees that greeting customers and offering basic assistance can make a significant difference in the overall experience. read more

The wake and steak sandwich is already the most expensive item on the breakfast menu and it's not better than anything else. The bagels remain the best item somehow. For the parking you have to either wait several minutes while driving around this narrow parking lot to see if anyone is leaving or go to the next door establishment, jump over a ravine and park at Taco Bell. This Panera was clean and service was prompt. We stopped in close to the dinner hour on a Saturday night. We had been to three festivals in the area and we were beat. At first we stopped by a coffee house in Greenbelt, but it was noisy and crowded so we left and came here. Smart decision. I was a bit apprehensive when, from my window seat, I saw a motor coach pull up and a team of Goucher volleyball players bounded off. Thankfully they didn't sit near us, and we enjoyed our comfy leather chairs. I got my favorite tea, and a free bear claw, thanks to the Panera Rewards card program. Happy birthday to me! Nobody has issues with Panera and everyone can eat salads, soups, and sandwiches. This Panera is nice and spacious and you can usually find an open table if you want to study or open up your laptop. I usually order the Thai chicken salad along with a pick two soup or sandwich. I did try the lobster roll recently and was not a fan. If you're going to eat lobster, u got to go fresh. This Panera is located about 5-7 minutes from my job. Every now and then, I stop by to grab breakfast and lunch to go. One thing that I love about Panera is that you can grab your lunch and breakfast in the wee hours of the morning, which is perfect and prevents another trip for lunch. The food here is not bad. I went there yesterday and got the Classic Salad with Grilled Chicken and Avocado. The salad was OK. I've had better at other Panera locations. The avocado was not ripe and that was disappointing. I have been at other Panera Bread locations. Visited this location to meet someone for a business transaction. When arrived there was a long line to order so I used the kiosk to place an order and I picked up a buzzer. I found the kiosk and buzzer to be very practical and useful, until I ran into a lack of communication. When I completed my order the instructions were to pick up my food at the counter once my buzzer came on. My buzzer did come on, and I did go to the front of the store but when I told the staff I was there to pick up my order she looked at me as if my order was not ready, I showed her my buzzer was buzzing. She asked me what I ordered, I told her and she told me they did not have those pastries. A supervisor showed up and he asked me again what I had ordered, he indicated I could get up to 3 pastries to equal what I had ordered. I chose the pastries, and she gave them to me. Then the supervisor showed up and he said give her the pastries back your order is in the back (he repeated twice) I gave the staff the pastries, and he pointed to the back of the restaurant. I followed where he was pointing and even asked him.. Back there? Because it seemed to be staff only. He said yes. I saw a tray with my soup and pastries on a high counter on a again what it seemed to be a section for staff only. I was wearing a cast which goes up to my elbow, but I managed to pick up the tray and successfully/safely take it to a table. When I finally sat down I noticed I had no silverware. The restaurant was busy enough were I did not feel comfortable leaving my food on my table unwatched for. I went to this establishment for lunch and asked did they have law enforcement discount! The young lady said yes but her manager looked me up and down as if I weren't callable of working I law enforcement! I showed my badge and all! My cousin worker comes behind me and ask for the same discount and the manager then says NO ITS FOR FIRST RESPONDERS ONLY! Ordered the new Chipotle chicken avocado wrap and it was gross. The eggs were the same texture as pre-cooked-just-needs-warmed-up, the avocados were rotten and there was literally one bit of chicken. Imagine my disappointment when I got a sandwich with 2 deli sliced THIN sliced pieces of turkey, the thought of a piece of gouda, and more lettuce and tomatoes necessary for a sandwich. I took it back to the guys and spoke with them about the sandwich. They offered to make me something different. Then I asked them what other turkey they had. So they remade my sandwich with that roasted turkey. Sadly everything about this sandwich has changed. The SUBWAY SANDWICH SHOP meat is unacceptable. The bread is soft like Wonder bread. It used to have more substance and body. Ohhhhhhh Panera, I miss the days of old. The chips, pickles and Pepsi are still good. The main part of my meal was just sad. So why the 3 stars? Strickly for the customer service. The guys who made my sandwich were so polite and accomodating. The person at the register was friendly and made sure all my needs were met. So KUDOS to the staff. Ordered curbside pickup for the first time ever. I was able to redeem my $1 off a soup from my reward points on top of $5 of $20 a coupon found online. I checked in online once I arrived and the gentleman who delivered it to my vehicle was so sweet and courteous. It wasn't even 15 minutes from the time I placed my order online to the time I arrived checked in and got my food delivered to my truck. Which I described in the carry out instructions area. Think this location is great. I have had issues before but nothing serious and the manager quickly resolved them and offered me a discounted product on my next purchase.
