SWEETPEAS CHILDREN'S CONSIGNMENT- Tucked away in The Lakeway Town Shopping Center in Lakeway, Texas is this PHENOMENAL GEM OF A HIGHEND KID'S CONSIGNMENT STORE. This quaint shop is worth the 15 minute drive west out of the downtown core of Austin, for the designer deals that you will find. THEY HAVE UNBELIEVABLE PRICES for brand new or only worn once clothing, that you would normally find in Nordstrom's, Saks and Neiman's for 10% of what it costs regularly. I was shocked at the quality of the product that this charming consignment store had. Lacoste, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, you name it.....they have it. They also have a reward program called Fivestars which gives credit and money back to returning regular customers. Hello.....bonus!!! When you first drive up it is tucked away in a brand new plaza between the Popcorn store and the hair salon. Lots of parking and the parking lot is clean. I also like that they have a traffic light at the intersection, so it is easily accessible. All you need to do is pop the address in your GPS and go. This store is super cute from the moment you drive up. Very welcoming. As soon as I walked through the doors, the staff were friendly and helpful; at the same time are hospitable and are not hovering over you, so you have the freedom to browse around. It makes for a really great shopping experience. Clean atmosphere and easy to find what you're looking for. Most consignment stores in Austin are dark and dingy. This store is new, light and airy and is extremely clean. Lots of options in all sizes. You'll want to leave with bags full. When you walk into the store there is a cute gumball machine for kids to the right and the books and toys are immediately to the left. I was sooooo surprised at all the goodies and deals I found in this store. IF YOU KNOW DESIGNER KIDS CLOTHING AND PRICING, YOU WILL BE IN HEAVEN AND YOU WILL BE SHOCKED AT THE DEALS YOU WILL FIND HERE!!! The store is extremely organized so all you have to do is go straight to the racks that are labeled in your child's size and grab what you need. Honorable mention-They also have a section on the back wall of maternity wear. So this could be a one stop shop for you. All in all, THIS IS THE BEST HIDDEN SECRET IN AUSTIN FOR DESIGNER KIDSWEAR AT A FRACTION OF THE PRICE. I went today for the first time after wanting to go by for what seems like forever. This is such a cute little shop, for anyone that has kids we know how fast they grow, so buying brand name clothes brand new almost seems ridiculous. The boy selection was a little low but I was still able to get some adorable tops for my son. An adorable Levi's jacket, a collared shirt from Jack and Janie and a cute flannel shirt all for a deal. Now I just need this weather to get cooler so I can put them on him. read more

I really would like to give this place 3 and a half stars, but unfortunately yelp won't let me. I liked their toy selection. I got several for a very reasonable price including a metal play grocery cart I have had my eye on for awhile on Amazon. The store was very organized and clean. The clothing was another story. It is extremely overpriced for what it is. The clothes look like pieces I would have worn as a child in the 80s. Maybe I just have different taste. But it just wasn't cute. There was definitely a lack in inventory. I did manage to find one Willoughby dress I liked, but everything else was blah. If you like the "stuffy", frilly, giant bow look- this is your place for clothes. But if you prefer more trendy clothes from Zara baby, Gap or Mini Boden like me, this is not the place for you. You can find much cuter things on sale in the actual retail stores for cheaper and it will be in season and trendy. All in all, I would make the trip up again to check out their toy selection but wouldn't count on finding clothes for my baby. read more

This place never disappoints! They have a wide selection of high end children's clothing and unique boutique stuff too! We never leave this place without a toy (or two!) and especially when I'm in a time constraint to find cute outfits for last minute travels, this place is my go-to! This place rocks if you want as good as new baby clothes, toys, books, DVDs, shoes, and strollers and other baby equipment and gear (diaper bags, baby carriers, etc). The items are a fraction of the retail price and seriously look as good as new. A lot of the clothes they sell are designer for great deals. I've gotten tons of stuff for my 2 girls there such as a Joovy Stroller, many clothes and Halloween costumes a couple years in a row, shoes, baby car (that you push the baby/toddler in), books, bows, and toys. This is one of my favorite places to shop. No reason to pay retail. read more

Sweet Peas has been there for me, like a freaking rock, over all the years. I stop in at the beginning of every season and find cute stuff, often with original tags still on, all good as new. When I needed a navy blazer with only hours and a tiny amount of cash in my pocket to find it, Sweet Peas came through. And what about the white Tommy Hilfiger cutoffs and the baby blue Adidas golf shirt, sitting there waiting for me when I needed something "casual but dressy that says SPRING" for the very next day. The boys' selection is never as great as the girls, and as the ages go up, the pickings get slimmer still. Probably we are too old now to ever find a good toy here again, but in days past my son got a wicked selection of awesome stuff from these shelves. He has no idea how much of his fun and color-filled childhood he owes to Sweet Peas. I at least will always be grateful. read more

Don't consign large items here. They will not sale-they will donate them without your permission after 3 months. I consigned some large items only to be told by the store owner that the item donated was in bad condition with stains/tears. Which was not the case, the item still had the registration tag attached and was in pristine condition without any tears. It was a large set that contained a 2nd item but the owner decided attempted to sale the 2nd piece separately to only be unsuccessful. Whats worse is that I gave the store permission when I called to check on my items to donate another item to a Catholic Church only to return to the store to pick up my remaining items and find that item I gave permission to be donated sitting on the floor. They lied to me about the donated item. I was visibly upset with the owner on the phone and in person. Don't consign large items here, you will regret it. I know I did. The 2nd piece she took from the entire collection cannot be sold alone because it was an entire set. Bad communication and customer service. You have to be diligent an call the store to find out about your items, they do not call you at all once the 3 month mark approaches. read more

Best shop ever! The owner and employees couldn't possibly be nicer! I have been a customer of Sweet Peas for at least 3 yrs and the shop itself is adorable and well organized. I enjoy simply visiting with the ladies, too precious! Too bad there isn't a women's consignment shop in Lakeway as nice. The one we have isn't even worth mentioning their name!! read more
