Sweets if the perfect name for this restaurant seeing at everything really is sweet. I got the pulled pork and teriyaki chicken. The sauce they use is a little too sweet but good. The macaroni salad was great! I think that overall the food was great. The big downside of the restaurant are the hours. read more

If you like like Polynesian food, Sweet's is worth a try. They do somethings really well. I like their kalbi ribs and teriyaki chicken. They have lots of side options, more than most Polynesian restaurants I've been to. The pineapple is interesting (it had some kind of chili powder on it). I wasn't too impressed by the noodle side dish, but the macaroni salad was good. The Otai tasted a bit artificial, like they added smoothie mix to enhance the flavor. It wasn't my favorite. The building is cool and there is a pretty awesome mural outside. They have a small stage set up inside, so I assume they have live music sometimes. read more

My family and I went to Sweets on a Monday afternoon at 4:00. Apparently they close early Monday (3:00pm). But the light was still on and they still served us. It is important to keep in mind that this is the type of restaurant where the majority of the food is prepared in advance, and served cafeteria style. This means that food served at the beginning of a shift is going to be marginally more fresh then that served at the close of the shift. That being said our food still tasted amazing. The staff was kind and friendly and the serving sizes were generous. We will be going back. read more

Coming from Hawaii, the food is pretty spot on. We've gotten their teriyaki chicken both times we've visited and it was great. Not too sweet and pretty flavorful. Only problem is that the rice was hard and old. Things get dry fast in Utah but when it comes to rice for your plate lunch it needs to be good or can ruin your meal pretty quickly. Also wish they had furukaki and sweet corn but that's just a personal preference. read more

You have to try the otai, it's a watermelon slushy type of drink. Ask them to put some coconut in it, it's delicious! The food is really good too. I had a poke bowl, a dish of raw tuna and onions that seem to have been marinated in a ginger-sesame sauce, all over rice. It's like a Polynesian version of sushi. Very good. Loved it! Came with my roommate after seeing the rave reviews. The server was super nice and friendly and explained how things worked, and helped us order. The price was totally reasonable too. And the food was DELICIOUS. I'd had Hawaiian/Poly food at weddings and other restaurants, and they couldn't even come close to Sweet's. Definitely coming back! I am So upset that this place doesn't have a perfect 5 star record, The food is awesome! And the service is great too. If you love some good food from the islands you have to come here. I haven't had this good of kalua pig in a loooong time. It's a small group that from what I understand just makes up a ton of their food each day and it's like they are open until it's gone pretty much. Or 4, whatever comes later. So make sure you bring your coworkers and come for lunch sometime and hit a food coma before you walk out the door. You will not regret giving this place a try. read more

Great little mom and pop place. Clean and well kept with friendly staff. I got the kalua pork and teriyaki chicken with a side of noodles and rice. All delicious and large portions. You will read about people that complain and complain and complain no matter where they eat. I had sweets cater my wedding of 350+ guest. Food was great, services is out of this world. If you want to eat at a place that will make you feel like home, this is the place to come eat. Just because there was a slight menu change doesnt mean the food isnt good, and for the guy that said above he would much rather stick to L&L hahaha that just proves the type of food you like to eat. Probably the worst place to go get island food. haha. overall great place to eat i go there often and yes sometimes the food might have its mistakes like EVERY other place. BUT if you SPEAK and tell them that there is something wrong they will change your plate, fix it, and make sure you are happy because that is how the place is ran. So writing a bad review because you had one bad experience is ridiculous, unless the owner throws you out of the place and treats you like crap. read more

The service was great and the employers were so friendly. My husband and I ate the pork sausage, Palu Sami and taro, Sapa suey, and chicken and it was so good.
