Small Teriyaki Chicken Platelunch *celsius not purchased here*

Super kind staff! Food was delicious, I got a small teriyaki bbq plate for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It feels like home here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the way they have pictures of many people on their wall. Gives a family vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Best Mac salad and that saying something because I don't really like Mac salad come on the day that they have Locos. They look and taste amazing and everybody that works. There is so nice!

Teriyaki chicken, one scoop of rice with sauce, Mac salad and the rainbow!

Yesterday was my first time at Sweet's Island restaurant. I found the staff to be engaging and full of Aloha and the food was ono-licious, broke da mouth kine!

Convenient parking out front. Amazing island vibes. I lived in Fiji and this place does the most authentic Fiji meal on Fridays. The lady who started over 30 years ago grew up on the island and it shows! I had no idea this was the oldest Polynesian restaurant in Utah. Best island food in Utah!!

Katsu chicken, rice, Mac salad and noodles

This place is AWESOME. Huge portions, fair price, delicious food, all the options, great service, daily specials, what more do you want? Their chicken katsu is really special, they cut th chicken before they bread it, so ALL the sides are covered in breading. Their smoked BBQ ribs (only on Thursdays) are sooooooo good. Tender, sweet, smoky, absolutely amazing ribs. There are a lot of Hawaiian places around, but this is now my go-to. Don't go to Mo Bettahs, come here.

Too much sauce and mayo

The people here were so friendly and nice and it pains me to give them a 2 star rating. Service was fantastic, but the food was not. There was too much teriyaki sauce on everything, it was overwhelming. I guess they put even extra on when they serve you... I could have done without. The noodles were saturated and the rice as well, so much that I barely touched them. The teriyaki chicken was ok but didn't taste very barbecued. The chicken katsu was average, but definitely didn't need that much sauce. I normally fight over my Mac salad but this one I couldn't even eat. It was about 50 percent mayo- yuck. This is coming from someone who is pretty heavy handed with the mayo herself. Orders were accurate and quick, but someone needs to tone it down on the sauce and mayo here.

Love me them ribs!!

Katsu chicken and kalua pig

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in, and the restaurant is really nice inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered katsu chicken and kalua pig with rice and Mac salad, food was so ono, kalua pig was juicy and the katsu chicken brought me back home. All I can say is I definitely coming back for the daily specials. Aunty was so nice, she even gave me a free spam musubi.

Coconut and Watermelon Otai

Best ambiance, great service, they are the sweetest people. This is a lunch spot and they can run out of food if you don't get there early. Their drinks are amazing!

Came in to see what the business was and the owner was so nice thank you so much for the meal The food is so delicious I definitely recommend coming in and try the food you will not be disappointed

Awesome online ordering and pick up at Mo'Bettahs! The portions are huge. Not what I asked for, just teriyaki. Seems like a waste of time to ask me what sauce I'd like if you won't give me what I asked for. Today we decided to try going into this location. I have always only done the drive thru. Figured let's go in and sit down and eat like all the other places with the kids. But heads up, they only have outside dining. Which makes it a pain like today with the large amount of ash coming down from the local fires. Now when we ordered the food, my wife asked if they had POG juice, they said they did. She got a large and asked if they did refills to which the girl said yes. I went and ordered my food, asked for spicy mayo, then went to ask for a drink as well and she had skipped ahead to the payment portion before letting me finish. She went back after I told her I wasn't done with my order and would like a drink as well. Well we got the food. No spicy mayo, just teriyaki sauce again. We drank our drinks and my wife went in to get a refill of our POG drinks, to be told that the refills cost unless we did soda. A bit misleading if anything. With all this said, I'm giving this place a 2/5. I'd like to give it a 1/5 but the food is decent most of the time. But the lack of professional, customer service, and ability to follow through with getting orders rights over several visits, I've come to the conclusion with my wife that we will no longer go to this location. Which is a shame. Never thought I'd come to that conclusion with name we have come to enjoy.

It goes so well with the macaroni salad and rice! I would have never thought of that, but it really works. The meat is delicious and the desserts are super yummy. It's also a TON of food - it even fills up my perpetually starving son, which is saying something. There are only two downsides. One is they're closed during breaks, and the only options are the chain restaurants. The other is that when they're open, the lines are really long!

My Experience at Aloha Plates Was Completely Unacceptable…read more My experience at Aloha Plates at CougarEats was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had. I walked away feeling frustrated, annoyed, and like my money had been wasted. The Dole Whip was embarrassing. It was full of holes and empty spaces instead of being a full serving. It looked like I was paying full price for a dessert that wasn't even properly filled. No customer should receive something that looks incomplete and be expected to accept it as normal. The fact that Aloha Plates doesn't accept cash only made the experience more frustrating. Not everyone wants to pay with a card or phone, and it's incredibly inconvenient to find that out only when you're trying to pay. Policies like that make the customer experience worse. The biggest disappointment, however, was the customer service. I found the employees I interacted with to be unfriendly and dismissive, which made an already frustrating experience even more unpleasant. A simple polite interaction could have gone a long way, but instead I left feeling like my concerns didn't matter. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. Between the incomplete-looking food, the inconvenient payment policy, and the customer service I experienced, I have no desire to return. I hope significant improvements are made because, based on my experience, this fell far below the standard I expected. The smell was wretched I won't go into details

Dining area here is pretty small, but the main dishes are pretty solid in comparison to the other places. They have recently added musubi to the menu, finally, which is great, except it comes in various forms of plastic and is cold, which is a lot less great and sometimes mushes it. This particular place has it in a baggie, which is fine and all well and good, but I generally wind up taking it out of the plastic and putting it on top of whatever I ordered, trying in vain to warm it up at least slightly. Again, this is to varying effect, but I'm glad they have the musubi at all. No furikake on it, but it does seem to have perhaps some sort of blackened seeds on it, sesame I'm assuming. Anyway, these are getting more or less down to ol' reliable and I have no qualms at all with that, as they never fail to wind up hitting the spot.

Everything else wasn't great. The shrimp tempura was plain and basic. The kalua pork seemed to have no flavor, and the katsu chicken could use more flavor as well. I got it with vegetables, and it had that kind of rubbery texture. I would return if it was a social kind of thing, but I wouldn't return on my own.
