The bagel was toasted nicely and paired perfectly with the cream cheese, while the croissant was flaky, buttery, and delicious. For drinks we ordered the French Vietnamese Au Lait and the Jade Matcha Cold Brew. The French Vietnamese Au Lait was rich and smooth with a nice sweetness, and the Jade Matcha Cold Brew was refreshing and a really interesting combination. There are also lots of coffee flavors and drink options to choose from, which makes this place fun to visit if you enjoy trying different café drinks. Stopped in to kill some time waiting for my wife to finish work. Hard to find street parking and I had to download two apps (parking app.com and passport app) standing on the sidewalk putting in my credit card info and license plate. In the end I got a warning ticket for some odd reason. Place was nice and local. A few customers and maybe three staff. Ordered a cold brew and found a table. Staff helped with wifi code and I noticed the outlets all had surge protectors. Not hungry, but the pastries looked good. Some sandwiches which were breakfast sandwiches. With the hassle of street parking done I will probably come here in the future. read more

I have come here a number of times to sit with a friend of mine and do work. We always order multiple drinks throughout our stay there. The first couple of times we came the drinks were great but recently (the last 6 months) the quality has dramatically dropped. The last coffee I had from them was burnt, the thai tea was lacking flavor and generally their drinks were subpar at best. Hoping they get back to their old quality soon read more

Stopped in to have a snack and do a little work mid-afternoon on 9/22/25 while waiting for a family member at an appointment nearby. - The wifi was not connected to the internet so it was completely unhelpful. Thankfully I was able to use my phone hotspot. - The young woman working the counter was sullen, bordering on rude. This makes customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. - The prices are too high, particularly in light of the quality. The counter staff did not clarify an extra charge; I just learned of it when I got the bill. It was a very disappointing experience. read more

Great food and service. The bagel and coffee were delicious and the staff was so attentive.

Not really impressed by the service. I stood at the cash register waiting to place an order when two staff behind counter saw me and walked away. A third apologized and took my order. He was actually the only customer-oriented employee I encountered. The other two never made an attempt to find someone to help me to 1) place an order and 2) give Sweetwaters my money. My order was not the right size despite my payment and verbal order. I explained to the employee who made it that I ordered a medium, but was provided with a small. At first she didn't seem to want to remake it. I repeated what I said and she rudely said "I'll remake it". While I do like that Sweetwaters' business model fosters community, I don't think I'll return. It's a real shame though as I practice keeping holiday shopping local around the holidays and planned on including Sweetwaters in my shopping plan for local merchants. However, if two thirds of the employees are not willing to allow me to complete my transaction I will not be able to buy local at Sweetwaters. I suggest that Sweetwaters hire employees who are motivated to increase profits by taking customer orders and currency. It's not hard. It's called doing one's job. read more

Since opening, the quality and consistency of food from Sweetwaters has been up and down. My most recent visits showed a consistent decline in their cookies. Their oatmeal raisin cookies used to be amazing but now they're worse in the following ways: 1. Now using plastic wrap instead of plastic sleeves for cookies. Not a big deal but definitely affects presentation. 2. Maybe they stopped using the sleeves since they reduced the size of the cookies. 3. Cookies are now misshapen and not of uniform thickness. It looks like they're either not being baked flat or they're being put upright too soon after baking 4. Oatmeal raisin cookies used to have actual oatmeal bits, seem to be missing now 5. Texture is now quite dense, seemingly overcooked Could be a bad day, but then this begs the question of quality control. It's frustrating as a customer to get inconsistent General service changes 1. No longer asking for if customers want a bag for what they ordered. These changes may be indicative of a business struggling. I.e, cutting costs and corners after a rather successful their launch. Unfortunately changes like these for reoccurring customers tend to result in a snowball effect of driving away business as it leads to disappointment. read more

I'm a bit bummed because I'm making an effort to really cut back on sugar and carbs and Sweetwaters featured a type of coffee in several varieties like a Vietnamese coffee made with sweet condensed milk that looked so tempting but oh so bad. So, if you're looking for a new coffee adventure and not watching what you eat then I hope you go here and order one for me, haha. They didn't have a ton of non-sugar/milk/syrup added coffees or teas which was disappointing. I ended up getting just a regular cold brew and added my own cream. The coffee was very good so I'm sure their stuff is high quality. It wasn't too expensive and didn't take long at all to get. Very nice interior with plenty of seating. They had a good assortment of goodies you could buy. The line was a bit slow despite only have 2 people in front of us it did take a long time to make it to the register to order but since my order was so simple the wait after that was not bad. Have gone here a few times over the past year and every time I order something different. Maybe it's just me but the coffee is weak and the specialty drinks just aren't for me. I come here alot and it's normally pretty good. My BF and I showed up a full hour before it closed and the two people working there said their 'espresso machine was closed for the evening'! Just stopped in for a sweet treat with my son. The red velvet cake was so old and stale...my whole fork could pick it up..it was dry and the icing had started to peel away from the dry cake. Sweetwaters offers a huge tea selection along with their coffee offerings; something that you don't often see at most coffee places. I've tried their iced teas (Imperial Black, Chai, and Ginger Raspberry) along with their cold brew coffee and "Dreamy"- a lightly sweetened iced coffee which is delicious. Everything has been excellent. The staff is kind and competent. The location is perfect- you can settle into the well-spaced dining area or take your beverage outside to the huge green space across the street. This is also located close to the Cochituate Rail Trail if you want to take a walk with your beverage. Street parking has always been easy to find. I have tried most of the items on the menu at this point and have only positive things to say about the quality. The ice dragon and cold brew are my personal favorites. This is a great coffee shop. They are open and available to sit in during these times. The tables are distant from each other, there are lots of disinfectants, and it is completely safe inside. Has some good tasting coffees and treats... cool vibe, clean, fast love the bulletin board, good seating, good hours, good menu, its pretty expensive though and the Tipping is a bit much for instance on a 3.13 coffee the recommendations start at 1.00 just charge more for the coffee and give employees a raise that more transparent. Also, and this does not happen very much if there is a person working there that annoyed with you for ordering a coffee then I think that may not be the right person to work at a coffee shop. read more

I've been to this location on several occasions and can describe the experience as consistently underwhelming. On the plus side, the space is fresh and open, the coffee is decent and the breakfast sandwiches are solid. That said, the staff always seem 1) undertrained, 2) lacking any sense of urgency, 3) struggling to prioritize the customer and multitask on the level the job requires. While they've always been pleasant once waiting on me, they will often keep you waiting to order for several minutes while they finish other tasks and neglect to acknowledge you in any way. A simple, "thanks for your patience. I'll be right with you!" goes a long way. Once my order is in, I have never once gotten a drink in a timely manner and it's usually flawed in some obvious way (not hot enough, cup only filled 80% of the way up, etc.). On today's visit, the garbage was also overflowing, the bathroom was out of toilet paper, and my barista didn't know which cup was 16oz. Given the convenient location and cute ambience, I'd love to see management step up and help this place meet it's potential. read more

I want to like Sweetwaters so badly because, living close to Natick Centers, it's so convenient. The few times I've been the coffee has been so mediocre. Maybe if you get fancy drinks it's not as noticeable, but a simple latte or cup of coffee is watery and flavorless. I can't tell if they actually have an espresso machine or if it's some sort of Keurig-esque pod system? The people who work there are nice, and the few baked goods I've tried are good, but I'd rather take my business elsewhere. read more
