This location, inside Natick Mall, has pretty horrible service, especially towards the end of the day. Their pastries and drinks are good--understandable since they are a chain. The problem here is their horrible service. Their closing hours are random and way ahead of what is advertised on Yelp. On top of that, they just smile non-apologetically about the fact that they no longer serve drinks to customers. A customer to my right was being told by the cashier that "the store closes early because she lives 2 hours away and she wants to get home as soon as she can". Is this what acceptable service looks like nowadays? I would avoid this location in the last few hours of the mall operating hours--it's too variable. read more

My daughter & I were a little taken aback by the giant globs of "butter cream" in what would have been a great loaf of fresh bread if the fatty, sugary concoction hadn't been piped into it with a heavy hand. I've been to the Tous Les Jours Bakery in Burlington plenty of times, which was why when I saw this inside Natick Mall, I decided to go in. I like their selection of pastries and they make some of the best tasting cakes. The line was against the pastry wall, so customers were cutting in and out to grab pastries, or contemplating while holding up the line. My family and I have loved this bakery for years but today I realized how messed up their customer service is. I bought a hot pre-made sandwich without realizing that it has been sitting inside the heated oven all day. The sandwich was basically so crispy on top that crumbs fell when I took a bite. It was gross. I requested to exchange it for anything and I was told that for exchanging food employees on duty would get in trouble so I would need to fill out a complaints form and provide them with my drivers license number which would then be evaluated to determine if it was really Tous Le Jous fault or not. I mean who's going to hand out license number like a flyer for a $5 sandwich? It was like applying for a loan or something. The cake itself was good, albeit small for the price. However, the experience was soured by the online ordering. First of all, definitely not worth the price. I paid an extra $2 for the writing. There was no spot online to input what to write ON the cake. Who knew they'd write it on the cardboard. No point to paying the extra money. Then I also paid $5 for a crown. Without explanation, I thought that without adding that, the cake would not come with a crown. First time ordering a cake from any Tous Les Jours. No way to reach them because nobody picked up the phone. And there was no description. The cake comes with the crown as pictured. What the $5 was for was a paper half crown/tiara with colored garland/tinsel glued to it that a person would wear. The crown was made of cardboard and only covers the front of your head. It is held on by an elastic. Like I said, if you're looking for a cute cake that tastes good, by all means... but so not add anything on. My all time favorite. My friend first introduced me to this place back in Kansas. It was this cute little bakery right behind my apartment. I adored it for its freshly baked goods and coffee. Especially the sweet treats are not on the extremely sweet spectrum like most of the desserts usually are here. It was just right for my pallets. I was bummed when I was leaving Kansas and moving to Massachusetts. But little did I know this was a chain and they had a couple of them here too. Although I feel the pandemic seems to have affected the menu and service here, especially with the hot bar no longer open (at least I haven't seen the hot bar open anytime). I'm glad though they still some of the goodies from the hot bar out with other baked goods too. A nice Korean bakery if you're in the Natick Mall. My friend and I were Black Friday shopping when we saw that it had opened. For the rush that was there given the day, we were served relatively quickly and there was space for us to sit. The pastry selection was pretty extensive and the cakes looked delicious. My friend and I shared a medium matcha bingsoo (shaved ice) and the snow was pretty good to start, but got kind of hard to eat towards the end. The taste was yummy though with the toppings and ice cream to mix, it definitely had a very strong matcha flavor as well. The chocolate chai latte was delicious too, although the size wasn't necessarily worth the price I think (I got a large hot). Overall, if I'm at the Natick Mall again I wouldn't hesitate to go back to try some of their pastries or cakes and other drinks. read more

Owner/manager is very rude! My girlfriend and I went there for lunch yesterday, with 5 kids in tow. All the tables were taken except a 4 top, so we dragged over the little table which had napkins & bakery sheets on it so all 7 of us could sit an eat. We moved the napkins & bakery sheets to the table near the recycling bin. Halfway through our lunch the manager came over and said "this table isn't for eating on." He just stood there & stared at us and proceeded to take the table away from us! I explained to him that there were not any tables at the time for us to sit at. TLJ is a testament to small things packing a big punch; (without a huge space) they have a selection of breads, pastries, desserts, snacks, small bites, pre-packaged sandwiches, chocolates, candy, gifts, cards, coffee beans, cakes (full & slices), macaroons, and I'm sure a few other things I missed. Now, back to the beverages! They also have bottled drinks in addition to their menu listed drinks that include a range of specialty coffee drinks, teas, hot cocoa, smoothies, frappes, and possibly another category I'm forgetting. You will find your typical macchiato, latte, americano, etc., in addition to flavors & pairings I've never heard or seen before (hello lavendar hot cocoa!), that will keep me coming back for the next few weeks. Today I tried a latte (which I've already forgotten the name of), that was explained to me as a kind of "Korean" tea. It starts with an "M," and is described on the menu as "multigrain"! A multigrain drinkable???!!! That's not a bread or bagel???! What???!!! After taking my first sip, I became a fan. It is DELICIOUS! Additionally I think many of the drinks and products are Korean-based or Asian-influenced, but I think the name is French... I'll ask about the cultural combination on my next visit. The dude that was working on the evening (around 8:00 pm) of Dec. 18 only wears one glove and touches your food with his bare hands and also is very lax with his mask, not at all Covid safe. My daughter went to this place a couple times, and both times he touched our food with his bare hands and his mask was slipping off and he didn't care. Also, not at all friendly. We will not go here again until he is gone. If you can see him on the picture below, circled in red, avoid this place while he is working there. All that said, if you go and he is not there (or if he is there and you don't care about catching covid), the pastries are excellent!!! Now, I have gotten custom cakes from other bakeries in the area that cost twice as much as TlJ charged. I was very loose with the instructions. Chocolate cloud cake, with strawberries. Mermaid theme birthday cake. Child name is Luna. Today I picked it up and oh my gosh. Slam dunk. Edible pearls. Gold leaf. Beautiful decorations. Chocolate pipetted name. Multi colored cream. Kids loved it and it was so delicious. If you've never tried a cloud cake, it isn't heavy or super duper sweet. It is very satisfying and I can eat a lot of it. read more

We have been getting our birthday cakes from this Tous Les Jours many times in the past couple of years, we always loved their cakes. Althought the Mango cake still looked great, it wasn't that fresh. The mangos in the cake were certainly from the cans or jars. They didn't teast good and the texture was off. None of us finished our slice that day. They should have done a better job for a cake at $58. The customer service was a disappointment too. I was told different things on the phone and in store. Very disappointing with the $66 Mango Cloud 3 that I brought it last week at this Natick location (inside the Natick Mall). Cake was not fresh. It was dry, mango was brown color (not yellow color), bottom cake was burned, no cake cutting that uses to come with it's from other stores locations. I called them and they never pick up my calls. All my friends were very disappointed with the cake also. For many years, I brought the cakes & pastries from the Burlington locations and it's always fresh & very satisfied with it. So i love this milk bread it was squishy and soft , and it was filled with cream. The cake was a little sweet to my taste. The cocoa powder on the tiramisu we got was unexpected but overall the tiramisu was fantastic. Overall, this place is pretty nice but it's super crowded.
