On our way up to Sacramento we lost one of our truck remotes, leaving us with just one. The Ford dealer wanted $250 for a new remote, and another $150 to program it. After 2 different AAA techs came out to do lockout service on my BMW 740i both were unsuccessful. Frustrated and still needing my car I had it towed home and then I called Swift Locksmiths and Luay came out and in literally 5 mins was able to use his locksmithing tools to fish out my keys which were sitting on the floor mat. He did a good job and had good advice for me as well. He cut and programmed a "dealer only" key fob for my Jeep Patriot and saved me plenty of money compared to what the dealer was going to charge. I called these guys today to have some locks re-keyed. At first I thought they might be pricey because their location said they were in the Arden area (I'm in Elk Grove) but I decided to call anyway. I'm glad I did. They had someone close by named Allen who was great. He showed up at the time I requested with only about 2 hour notice.He was able to re-key all seven locks in about 40 minutes. Leo is an amazing business owner with outstanding customer service! I called Leo last Thursday to get one of the homes I am selling re-keyed. It was late at night and Leo had to call another locksmith to do the job for me. Unfortunately, the person who came and did the locks was totally unprofessional and overcharged me even after letting him know that I am a Real Estate Broker familiar with the rates and a future client for him. GET KEYS BEFORE YOU PAY! The reason they have a such a high Review rating is because they offer a $50 discount if you write them a great review. They also require you to pay before any services are done. My locksmith SEAN COHEN could not supply me with programmed keys but also would not give me a full refund. He will only give me $200 back and still has not yet paid me. He changed $400! Got 2 button keys from dealer for $465. My advice don't go with the guy who does this in the back of a van...still waiting on my refund Update: I'm giving 3 stars now only because owner gave me a call after making this post and informed me Sean is no longer. I ordered food & the delivery driver locked his keys in his car. he said he had a hot date waiting for him at red hawk then asked for a coat hanger. I asked if he knows what he's doing or if he saw this on t.v. so he says to me, he says this is the second time this week! It was raining harder than a cow pissin' on a flat rock & colder'n a well diggers' ass so I called this locksmith here. You can text him too, he's okay with stuff like that. I ran downstairs with a flashlight and hammer. Dude drives a mustang. I tried fervently to talk him into letting me break the window to no avail. Just as all hope was lost what's his name pulled up in his mobile smithy & used his own professional coat hanger to loop the door handle on the first try. It was almost 10pm, everyone else was closed or said no, it took him 10 minutes to get there from the time I texted him my address and it took him less than a minute to open the door the longest part was the delivery driver tryna pay the guy.
