Swig, a drive-thru experience that offers customizable drinks, caught my attention as a new business in my area. They specialize in "dirty sodas," a nostalgic treat that reminded me of my childhood when I would mix all the sodas together and call it a "suicide." These sodas come with various flavors, fruits, and creams. In addition to dirty sodas, Swig also offers water-based refreshers and Revivers energy drinks. The company was founded by a Mormon mom of five in Utah, inspired by her daily trips to Sonic for her Diet Coke. I appreciate that most of their drinks, including their popular drinks, can be made sugar-free. The sizes range from small to 44 ounces, and I recently bought a 44-ounce drink on my last visit. The first time I went to Swig, I walked in to get a feel for the place and ask questions. The shop has a small foyer with high tables on both sides, where bar stools are available. The staff is usually bubbly and friendly, eager to help you create your perfect drink. On my last visit, I decided to try the drive-thru. They had their regular young employees ready to take my order, just like at Chick-fil-A or Dutch Bros. However, I noticed a sign with their seasonal drinks that wasn't visible at the counter. The new Spring Menu includes Berry Bougie, Citrus Sunrise, and Mojito. I opted for the Citrus Sunrise, which was made sugar-free except for the strawberry puree. It was incredibly delicious, and I chose sparkling water instead of the flat water. My wife tried the Texas Tab, which had Dr. Pepper, vanilla, and coconut cream. She enjoyed her first one more, which was the Spring Fling-Dr. Pepper, Vanilla, strawberry puree, and coconut cream. My first drink I had there was The reviver Energy drink called the Drama Queen which had energy powder they call SF Reviver, Fresca instead of lemonade, Sf Strawberry, SF peach, SF coconut. Be warned stick to a smaller size cause I was bussing all day! We decided to sign up for their loyalty program and are now hooked. After all, Swig has proven to be a delightful addition to my life, and I find myself craving their drinks frequently.

My swig drink.

The drink I got was amazing 5/5. I got a Waikiki with fresh lime added but I got to the bottom of my drink and looked inside my cup and there was a gnat or a bug. Not sure how many I drank. Someone isn't taking care of prep or cleanliness. Pictures attached

It took forever to get the soda. Tasted flat when we got it, not as crisp as a flavored Sonic Soda.

So excited for this new restaurant. This family owned establishment are real heroes that deserve…read moreall our support. It is owned and run by mom, dad and son and the fact they went from food truck to brick and mortar makes them super heroes. The restaurant is small, but very clean and organized. Raven (the Mom )told me they are already working out to have a family friendly bar in the vacant store next to them. The menu has that unique food truck feeling, but with bigger portions. I tried the Famous meatloaf. It was moist and they put their own homade barbque sauce on top. It was offered with two sides and cornbread. I chose the smoked mixed vegetables, which I didn't care for. They were overcooked and under seasoned, but the fried onion rings which were hand batter with a seasoned light coating made me forget the vegetables. My wife got the burnt briskets ends and they were delicious. Her two sides were the smoked macaroni and cheese and fried okra. The Mac and Cheese was definitely Sunday dinner after church deliciousness. The Okra was not frozen but breaded with the same as the onion rings and were crisp full of flavor. The cornbread was a little dense, but really flavorful. Our favorite was the smoked chicken wings which were Smokey tender with crispy skin. They have different sauces and we tried everyone. The sauces all were a different taste, but equally perfect. I guess if I had to pick the best it would have to be their sweet house barbecue sauce. For dessert there are daily new choices and more to come. We chose the rocky road Thai rolled ice-cream which the prepare it for you right before you. We have always enjoyed the Thai rolled ice-cream, usually only finding it at festivals. We have already picked what we will be eating the next time we go.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the creamery offered a non-dairy coconut option. I had TWO servings with mix-ins it was so good! Our friends got the dairy version and said it was also delicious. The service was great and accommodating to special dietary restrictions. The restaurant is still new but they were nice enough to move tables to fit our group. I would definitely recommend you stop by and get some barbecue and rolled non-dairy and dairy ice-cream.
