Texas Tab and a swanky cup. haha
    Alex L.

Great place for a sugar fix and hang out with your friends and family. I ordered a Texas Tab which is a Dr Pepper, Vanilla and Coconut Cream. Not sure what a tab is but it was tasty. Pair that with the friendly and down to earth service and you get Swig. To my understanding, this is a newer location. A bit hidden from Denton Tap but just plug in the address and you'll find it. Only been here a handful of times and each new experience is consistent with the others!

First time here! Finally found a Swig location! My gps didn't find it right away I had to drive around the buildings to locate it. However the drive thru guy was really nice and helpful. We loved our drinks - will come back again if near area. I got island time and surprisingly good!!

Agave vanilla soda with vanilla and coconut added

Today I tried Swig for the first time and myself and my daughter were happy with our drinks. I had a taste for a vanilla drink so I created my own soda and had a Vanilla cream soda with vanilla and coconut added. It was delicious!! I found a new drink spot.

Extremely disappointing experience at A Swig. We arrived well before the dinner rush and placed our order promptly--yet somehow, at least 10 other customers who came in after us were served before us. At the time of this writing, our order is now six minutes late, and still nothing. To make it worse, a staff member even called our order name loudly to the back, clearly realizing something was wrong--and then... silence. No follow-up, no apology, no update. Just more waiting while everyone else gets their food. We used their loyalty program for this order, and based on what we're seeing, that was clearly a mistake. If anything, using the rewards program seems to slow things down, not speed them up. We won't be making that mistake again--we're done with their loyalty system and likely done with this place. If you're looking for a spot that values its regulars and can manage orders in a basic first-come, first-served way, A Swig isn't it.

    The drink I received.

Then you have some higher tiered places that brew fresh, infuse, focus on flavors and not sweetness. I find this to be a bit of both in that most of their drinks are sweet despite having sparkling water drinks that are decaf and they have sweetness levels. I've come here a few times and noticed very little difference between their levels depending on the drink. The thai milk tea at 25% sweetness tastes like the ginger milk tea with 50% sweetness and the matcha latte at 75%. There is a perceived sweetness. At first i'd go full sweetness on everything and then i started knowing which one's tasted best at what levels. The trick is to add the milk foam to a 25% sweetness to accentuate the sweetness without actual sugar. As a Filipino i'm glad they havent bastardized Ube like Starbucks did, and also not mad they leaned into the Matcha craze. Sea Salt pearl dessert is good, but could use better balance in flavors/texture. To be honest when I'm craving an actual dessert I'd rather go to Andy's for a sugar rush, so I come here for the jasmin apple grean tea, kiwi basil green tea with sparkling water. I like their oolong's and earl grey. I'm not a big fan of their dirty boba To me I never go full ice or no ice. No ice doesn't provide correct dilution and regular leaves a more than half full cup of ice at the end. Less ice keeps it cold, dilutes it until the end. I found the Vietnamese coffee to be a little weak and not the usual kick in the face. Prices are pretty good, rewards system is nice. Portions are solid. Decor is clean, nice, family friendly, great for gathering, but can get crowded. Service is hit or miss, they seem unconfident in their drink making and order taking, either they are nervous at how busy it can get or aren't efficient in their process. The wait can be long regardless of the line. With the lack of competition and the fact they don't have any glaring weakness it's a solid spot for the outskirts.

The Dirty Boba with crème brûlée foam is a must-try, and the pearls are always perfectly chewy. I also have been loving oolong with sea salt foam! Plus you can customize the sweetness (50% is my sweet spot) to keep the tea flavor front and center. Spotless shop, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend for your next meetup or tea date!

If you live in the area, you now have another great option for creative ice cream flavors and coffee. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - High ceilings, modern seating, and a very welcoming feel sum up my first impression. Ice cream may be what draws people to Dumont, but the inside has a mature coffee shop atmosphere vs. a candy store. We were the only patrons on my weekday visit, which is a good thing if you want to sample flavors.....1 Star. Service - .... because the staff was so nice (and there were no other customers), I was able to try any flavor I wanted. The Dumont staff member was super friendly and patient, and I felt at ease. 1 Star. Food - Sampling flavors is a big deal, because Dumont has some of the most unique flavors and names. I tried Filter Coffee, Ferrero, Oreo Caramel Fudge, and Vanilla Bean (they all tasted like their names). But I settled on Biscoff. Not only did it taste like a cold, creamy Biscoff cookie, but it also paired perfectly with an espresso. This Creamery + Coffee idea might work out pretty well. 1 Star. Will I Return? - YES. I had reservations before visiting this franchise, but one bite of the Biscoff flavored ice cream and I was sold. It's a little out of the way for me, but it's definitely worth the trip. Yes, I'll be back. 1 Star.

All the locations are relatively smaller in space but the seating here is the best. The chairs are comfortable & perfect for co-working or studying. Drinks & egg pancakes are reliably consistent. I will definitely be ordering this as my go-to. It was creamy, sweet, and just a tad sour. I went with 80% sugar per my friend's recommendation and that was definitely enough sugar. - Strawberry Matcha Latte: the first few sips were amazing, but then I started noticing a heavy powdery taste. Unfortunately it didn't get better and I had to ask a worker if I could switch out my drink, which they did for me for free. - Passionfruit (2 topping) Tea: the taste was good and I loved the stringy boba topping but the tea had a dry aftertaste which I didn't enjoy. Overall the prices are definitely up there ($7.50 for a drink) but it can be worth it. It's across the street from the Carrollton plaza and has some parking in the front. There are some small tables inside but it's usually pretty busy. Orders don't take too long to come out.
