I do LOVE LOVE LOVE this crazy place. My Swig barista Dallin was an enthusiastic ball of spastic energy who made my soda buying experience one to remember. He might be hopped up on too much Swig flavor concoctions but whatever it was it made my time there extremely entertaining. I went in for a simple drink and left with six Swig creations and a dozen pink frosted heart attacks in a box. Sure the stuff they serve isn't exactly healthy but hey, I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs so please allow me one or two guilty pleasures in life. I went with a few friends after months of driving by and wondering what in the crap this place was.It was impressive in its unimpressiveness. 1. The girls behind the counter were probably college students, but they acted like they were maybe 15. Besides all the screwing around behind the counter, it took them more than 5 minutes to make my drink, and the 4 of us were the only people in the place. 2. Speaking of taking more than 5 minutes to make my drink: I'd have saved both time AND money if I'd just stopped at the Chevron 150 feet North of the place. The drink I ordered turned out to be a Mt Dew with a cheap gas station flavor shot in it. Not only would it have been faster to just get my own, but I could've gotten a 44 oz one for $1.29 at the Chevron, and I paid $2.50 at Swig for a 20 oz. 3. I just want to emphasize that this place is literally marking up gas station soda by over 100%. Seriously, don't help this fad stay afloat any longer than necessary. Stay away. 4. Oh, and if that wasn't bad enough, there are 2 listings for it on Yelp. Most of the bad reviews are for one, while the other is mostly good reviews. That's full of sketch right there. This place is seriously the best! I love their combinations and the employees are the cutest! My new favorite drink is the Dr. Tiki; dr. Pepper with piña colada purée. It's one of their newly named drinks and a must try! I love getting a nice cold oatmeal cookie to go with it. I often hear a bunch of people complaining that their cookies are cold... Well have you all seen how many people come through and order cookies? They HAVE to keep them cold. Heck, just sitting on the couch for 10 minutes I noticed that they sold AT LEAST 5 dozen sugar cookies. Hello? FIVE dozen in just TEN minutes. That is awesome. This place is not fun to go to if you're above 18 years old. Not sure if it was high schoolers or college freshman but the place was insane. Kids yelling, no order to the line, the workers just chatting with their friends. Maybe the drive thru is better? The cookie. Not impressed. The sugar cookie is basically a step above Granny B's. The sodas were pretty good though. We got the Malibu - Dr. Pepper with coconut and vanilla, and the Frooty loop. Can't remember what it was but it was Frooty indeed, I'd get the Frooty again, but not the cookie or Malibu. If I do go back it definitely won't be at night to avoid the crowds. read more

I was having kind of a rough day and was hoping a visit to Swig would help turn my day around. I've been craving boba lately, and transplanting from California to Utah has made my tastebuds sad (sorry California, I won't take your amazing and diverse food choices for granted anymore). In my experience, it has been hard to find something that can even compare to the boba drinks (and food in general) that I can get back home, but I decided to give Swig's version a try. I went through the drive-thru and ordered a mango bango "bubble tea" smoothie and a sugar cookie. After I paid for my drink and got to the next window, I was informed that they were out of boba :( I don't know how communication between the ordering shack-like place and the main building is, but I think it should be improved. I was a little sad but then I thought "okay, maybe this sugar cookie will help my mood". Sadly, I was wrong. The cookie was kind of cold & hard (from being chilled). I have tried their sugar cookies before and in the past I've experience a delightful soft and fluffy cookie. The inconsistency is disappointing. Overall, I left disappointed and am reluctant to return to Swig again. read more

My experience with the items on Swig's menu have been sub-par at best. Sometimes the flavor is there and sometimes it's... lacking. Honestly their menu is just like every other soda shop around that offers flavor shots in your signature brand sodas. It is good, but it isn't a novel idea. One huge problem I have with this location is cleanliness. I don't think I have ever been inside when the floor has been mopped or when the tables and chairs have had a good wipe down. It seems like every time I come inside, dried soda is stuck to most things - you can hear it on the soles of your shoes when you walk. Gross. And the customer service never seems to be that great. I understand that Provo is a college town and that little shops like this are generally staffed by young students, but the lack of professionalism I have witnessed more than once while sitting inside has been enough to make me migrate to the tables and benches outside the entrance. At the age of eighteen you should be mature enough to tell your friends not to come inside and yell at you while you're working and servicing customers that pay the money which supplies your paycheck. As if that wasn't bad enough, now Swig is trying to take Sodalicious to court over the use of the term "dirty" for drinks on their menu. Apparently they have trademarked the term, which seems ridiculous to me, since the term has been around in bars for decades. Sonic also uses the term, so it is obvious that Swig feels threatened by their more professional, tastier competition and in poor taste is trying to shut them down. The whole thing seems extremely petty and underhanded to me and I simply cannot lend my business to a company that is so wrapped up in shutting down their competition simply out of jealousy. read more

Great idea! However, the execution isn't quite there. Has the feel of a typical Provo business that was thrown together and won't last long....which is sad! First of all, the soda is good....but the sugar cookie is where it's at!! Dang. It must be opium laced. Heaven on earth. That gets all three of the stars I gave right there. 6/5 stars as far as cookies goes. What is a negative tick for this place is that it is kind of slow. Also, the place inside feels...dirty. Random chairs, sticky floors and purple paint. Would recommend these guys sell something salty too. What a better way to sell drinks than getting someone really thirsty. I have visited this location a few times over the past couple of months. I really like the blended reviver drinks; however, it seems that every time I order one it comes out different than the last time I ordered. I typically order a small drink, and I have gotten the drinks in various size cups. (sometimes in a super small cup, other times in a medium sized cup). It seems that sometimes the drinks are made with less ingredients, they even have a different color at times. So just super inconsistent with how they are making those reviver drinks. It's a little different than the Boba Tea houses we are used to. But they have a wide variety of custom drinks. They are also always out sour raspberry. I think they don't really carry it; it's a scam. They have an assortment of cookies and other goodies. It's flavors for boba are kind of mutated from the traditional and I am sad to say they do not have Taro (my favorite). But if you are in Utah County and have to get your boba fix this place will do. Every other boba place that has sprung up in Provo has gone out of business. The college kids seem to love this place so I think this one has staying power. read more

What can you say, it's soda mixed with syrup and and various puree's. Haven't had anything come out wrong or watered down yet. What I really do like about this place is the drive-thru. Unlike other shops in the valley, there is a lot of room in the drive-thru so your'e not backed up on the street. This is nice because it can get very busy during the day. I absolutely love Swig in general. We don't live by one so we always stop when we are near one. I have never experienced anything quite like this location though. We went a few days ago and decided to walk in because the drive through line was long. We were immediately hit with the most disgusting smell I have ever encountered. I wouldn't expect to smell that at a pig farm let alone someplace that serves food. We literally could not stand to stay in the store long enough to place an order without throwing up, so we got back in the drive through line. When we drove through we asked if someone had thrown up in the store recently or what was going on with that smell? They just said "oh yeah it's pretty bad but we just get used to it after a while". I was seriously scared to drink something served in a store like that, but against my better judgement I did anyways. I didn't get sick, so we decided to come back a few days later. Somehow, the smell was still just as bad. I don't know how the staff had not yet seemed to care enough to find the animal that has obviously died behind their equipment or under their countertop, but they inexplicably don't seem to mind it. This location is super speedy and convenient! The staff was friendly! It's a little pricey for my taste, and I think the refrigerated sugar cookies always taste a little off (maybe they need some baking soda in that fridge?) but if you're looking to grab a drink and not leave your car then definitely swing by. Addicted to Swig. Man, those sugar cookies are my nemesis. I have found myself addicted to them the past 2 weeks and hold myself back to buying them only 2 times per week. My favorite drink is the Coke or Zero with raspberry puree. The raspberry is really flavorful and I can't drink my favorite Coke without it now. Update 1 month later: Well I have been to Swig over a dozen times and don't know if I'm addicted anymore. The people who work there seem to have quality control issues. My favorite sugar cookie has been served to me dry and crumbly, not the same one I was addicted to for 2 weeks. Also, I say this because my drinks of choice that I order are never the same quality. Some are highly flavorful and yummy, others have less flavor, are flat soda, and the 44oz. cups are too thin and flimsy to hold that much soda in them. My finger went right through the cup one time and spilled the whole darn thing all over my lap in the car. So I will stick with 7-11 or McDonalds for my Coke fix, they are ALWAYS consistent with high quality soda and never have disappointed me the way Swig has of late. read more

Let me first start out by saying that I use to be a loyal, Swigonian (Swig lover/customer)... However at my last visit I asked them to take my phone number out of their system. And would you like to know why? Let me tell you... A few weeks ago, as must of you know Swig decided to change E-V-E-R-Y THING on the menu... Without any warning. They pulled the rug out from underneath us. Losing the trust of many of us loyal Swigonians. As if this tragedy wasn't enough, my last visit sealed the deal. I was trying to be optimistic and find a new drink that I liked. I ordered the Mango boba drink. The cashier in the drive they told me they were out of mango, so I had to get the pina colada boba. At the window after I paid they told me that they had no boba in the store. After I told them I didn't want another drink and would like my money back, they told me they found some boba and would make me my drink in 3 minutes. I waited 5 minutes and they asked me to pull forward and my drink would be out shortly. After another 10 painful minuted had gone by, they walked my drink out to me. It was watered down and had barley and boba. I am truly disappointed and disgusted with Swigs total lack of care for their loyal Swigonians, as well as the awful customer service on my last visit. Very bad customer service! I got back in line because my Italian soda had no flavoring in it and the cashier sat there and talked to her friends that were done ordering while me and a line of people behind me just stood there. A lady in the back had to tell her to help the next customer. Their sugar cookies are good, but their chocolate chip cookies are not good. They gave it to us frozen. We couldn't even bite into it. They skimp out on the flavoring for the Italian sodas and their cups 3/4 full of ice, so you hardly get any drink. read more
