Utah friends introduced me to Swig and I've since fallen in love. This is an easy-to-get-to soda fountain for those slogging along I-15. The location is a quick jaunt off the interstate and the drive-through assures you don't even need to get out of the car. When the line is long, I park and order at the counter. It may be a bit faster, but also allows time to hit the bathroom around the back. The bathroom isn't particularly nice, but it's clean. Here's my regular Swig review: "Swig is a the local favorite. It is not the place for a meal, but is a great place for a drink and a cookie. They mix sodas with different types of milk or cream and flavorings. Their signature drink is the Big Al, a Diet Coke with coconut and lime flavorings. Ask for coconut cream. You can also ask for the cookies to be frozen. I love their drinks as a special treat, but the cookies are too sweet. One problem is that you cannot see the menu until they are about to take your order at the drive-through. Another is that there is no indoor seating, like with old-style Dairy Queens." read more

Swig is a classic... everyone loves it. That much doesn't have to be said. What SHOULD be noted, though, is their complete lack of compassion for their employees. It's 100 degrees outside right now, and they have a small employee working under the blistering sun to take orders. At the LEAST she needs an umbrella station set up for her where she can keep cold water and a chair for when customers aren't coming through. This employee is being put at risk for heat stroke, and it's completely foul to see. Shame on you, Swig! Value your employees more! I will NOT be returning to this location again, unless I see a significant change in their employee care. read more

The drinks were lukewarm, flat, and didn't taste great. My brother threw up after drinking just a little of his vanilla root beer. I got the Hula Girl, and I can say for certain that you...Yes YOU...can make better drinks at home with a cheap blender. The cookies were frozen and tasted mediocre. My mom got the Piña Colada Boba and they were out of boba, but she still payed full price for the drink. We were all disappointed. Not worth it. Quick, friendly service. Have been visiting this location for years (when in town), and it's always great. Usually pretty busy, so I was happy to find a slow time on a Saturday afternoon. This was our first time trying a dirty soda and we were pleasantly surprised! The girls who took our order and made our drinks were really nice. We ordered a raspberry dream, guava have it, and riptide which were all good. They are very sweet though! We also got a classic sugar cookie which was good but was a little cold and hard like it came right out of the fridge. The location in Hurricane always seems dead, but this location here in St George always has a long line when I pass by. I decided to stop in and try it out. After looking over the menu I ordered a 100% "Strawberry Banana Smoothie" priced at $4 and was pretty disappointed. The smoothie tasted watered down and flavorless. The straw was super fat and pink and the only *cool* thing about it. I found it to be a waste of money and not worth waiting in line for. Aside from smoothies they also offer shaved ice, cookies, doughnuts, ice cream and bubble teas, but I wont be back to try them. They have a couple chairs outside and you can go inside to place your order or use the drive-thru. read more

Fam and I went here after lunch for some desserts and drinks. I personally like the atmosphere and the design of the place but not so much for the parking. We ordered a few drinks and they were all good. Something different than just having regular soda pop. I had the Diet Coke with coconut and fresh lime...Big Al. It was delicious. Everyone got something different but it all tasted good. We also ordered three sugar cookies, they were good, soft and the frosting was good as well. I love SwIg and have been a customer since the very first day, but the service has gone downhill. I just waited for over 10 minutes and there were only 3 cars ahead of me. If an order is taking too long please have them pull forward or at least bring out the drinks to the people with only one or two like you used to do in the old days. read more

I came here for some boba tea because I was really missing it from when I was in South Korea. I was fairly disappointed because first of all, the boba bubbles weren't even real boba bubbles. Real boba pearls are chewy and made from tapioca. The ones I got in my drink popped right in my mouth and had a strange liquid come from them. If you're going to make boba tea, learn how to make it right! Second of all, the actual drink tasted good but the texture was a bit strange. It left a dehydrated feel in my mouth. I think the Dirty Dr Pepper is good and all those other soda things but this place really needs to step up their game when it comes to boba tea. read more

Took our 16 year old here upon her request. The staff was so friendly and just nice to talk to. Great job on hiring. Lots of interesting combos of flavors and the cookies were awesome. Definitely enjoyed our 3 drive-thru visits while we were in St George. read more

I love Swig. My go to is a fruit water with extra coconut and vanilla. It's so refreshing during the hot summer days here in Saint George! This location does get pretty busy during lunch so plan your time accordingly if you have to get somewhere afterward! read more

Swig: is always a great place to relax and get a drink. I would say quick but there is always a wait.. :( So that should tell you how good it is when you have at least 15 cars waiting in line and 5 + people waiting at the walk up window!! The concept with flavors and drinks is nothing new. They have just perfected it! The dirty Sprite, dirty dr. Pepper are amazing!! The cookies: sugar cookie, chocolate chip and oatmeal are some of the best I have ever tasted.. So if you like coconut and Dr Pepper this place is for you!! This place had horrible service. I understand that there was limited staffing which Inhibited their ability to serve in the lobby, but they refused to let us do the drive thru by walking. We would have used our car, however we thought it would be best to not take out the store with our 60 ft RV! I'm sure the drinks are amazing here which is why we decided to make a pit stop to try the well know sodas, but that doesn't mean that the service was exceptional. Although we were very disappointed how our 30 minute detour ended up, we resorted to the Dr. Pepper's and Sprites in our fridge leaving this location of Swig to only loose out on their own profit. read more

The concept is fun. Kids loves making their drink mixes. Friendly service. Cookies were a big disappointment. They were all cold. Like they've been in the freezer/fridge. Barely baked whenever that may have happened. They should not call those cookies or at least let people know they are served ice cold. I would not come back. read more

I LOVE Swig! DDD or Nirvana with a sugar cookie is definitely the way to go! They are specialty sodas so it is a bit expensive, but worth it. The chocolate chip cookies are small and I don't think they are worth the $2. This location is very popular so to will wait in line for a little bit so plan accordingly. They have people who walk to your car and order when there is a big line, which is extremely helpful. read more

not happy with my order- i got the Cloud 9. my drink is 80% ice chunks and hardly any drink. for spending nearly $7 on the drink you should actually be able to enjoy it. but im chewing ice chunks more then i am drinking. the coloring and texture of the drink is completely off also - he is a picture of the drink i ordered and the drink i got... not even good. mind you this picture is exactly how my drink looked with out sitting out. i received it for 2 min before take the picture. the color is off, looks unappetizing, and it's not even a fluffy slushy - it's ice with discolored soda. Didn't even end up drinking past the point of the picture, with the amount of ice chunks i had to chew it wasn't worth drinking anymore. read more

I've had about half a dozen times where the drink I get is made without the purée. The drink cost over $3. Also it's been made with different syrups. I use to. One here twice a day now It's about once a week or less. Also not pleased with the new ice they use. The drinks taste differs and usually aren't cold enough. Update: I don't visit as often as I use to. Reducing my soda intake as a new year resolution. Service generally has always been pretty good here. The drink that cost over three dollars, the Islander, is a delicious drink when made right. I'll generally get the dirty Dr Pepper (coconut syrup added to Dr Pepper) as it is harder to mess up. The syrups are a higher quality than you would get at sonic so the flavor taste better than sonic. Originally I gave a one star review for the amount of times my drink was off, I have updated it to four stars for their overall amount of times I have visited for the past six or seven years. read more

Yes, the queue up isn't fun, and can seem a bit congested, but if you can muster up a bit of patience - it's just not THAT BAD - and really is just a first world problem and not the end of the world. The service is friendly and the treats are great at an affordable price. We're out-of-towners and have been here a couple times. We've become big fans of the Swig in Bountiful Utah, too. read more

St George is an fascinating place, the people, the food, the people.... we stopped here for a what is called a dirty diet coke( coke with coconut flavoring) and got so much more. A frozen cookie and a look at an amazing sub-culture in St George Utah. Kids in the back of pick up trucks a stray dog in the parking lot and a shizzz load of kids in the store verbally abusing their mom. Why not, sounded kind of yum.... IT WAS SO GOOD. They are closed tomorrow (Sunday, gotta respect that) or I would go again on my way home for the same drink. I LOVE that they will mix in a purée. Very upset with my service here. The girl taking our order was worried about her boyfriend who was in the car behind us. She was rushing us and was rude while taking our order. Then we got to the window and got our drinks and the guy was very rude while we were asking some questions about a drink we got. He then was annoyed that we hadn't left but we had not got all of our order. He then took the rest of our order, Didn't apologize or acknowledge the fact that they had made a mistake. Love it!!!! Awesome sprite zero w/ berry purée, ice is delish!! Then there are the cookies! Yummy I was a huge fan of the sugar cookie but it's met its match! Peanut butter cookie meets chocolate frosting trumps sugar cookie any day. My sister swears by the dirty diet coke (diet coke w coconut extract). They have lots of combos to choose from. They also have snow cones and other delights. Make sure you stop when you see the colorful blue and yellow building w the little buddy on it. They are poppin up all over Utah! I love this place and it's a must every time we drive through St George. My favorite is the Big Al with coconut cream. But, I've tasted a few different ones and they are all great. Love the fresh mango purée! It's a fun little shack to sit out in front of and enjoy a little treat. Congrats on someone finally breaking out of the ice cream/froyo/cupcake rut and doing something really delicious! As a side note, I'm very disappointed to see that many of the low rated reviews for this company seemed mostly to be criticizing a religion more than the food or restaurant. I've always come to Yelp to find opinions on food, not others opinions on someone's beliefs/religion. Very disappointing to find so many small minded, prejudiced comments!
