Hi Everyone!! My daughter is 9 yrs old and have never had any swim lessons before. This is her first time getting lessons at Swim Jim and this is her 3rd week and she has learned soo much and has been promoted to a higher level. Her swim coach is Coach Arianana and she's an amazing coach. She's very attentive and is so sweet. I'm sure they're all Great their but since she's my daughters coach I'm very very pleased with the way she's teaching. I have referred a friend here also ans hopefully he'll start soon. I highly recommend swim Jim if u want your child to have any swim lessons. Again. I am very very happy and have definitely made the right choice. Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. I have had to deal with miscommunication several times with this company. The people who do the scheduling, and the supposed manager do not know how classes are run. They continued to schedule my son in a different group. They do not notify you of canceled classes. I signed up at a gym, that they stopped instructing at 2 weeks later. I do not recommend SwimJim. I would definitely not trust them with my child. read more

My son attended their free 20 min Swim n Splash classes on Sundays starting at 10 weeks up until the cut off of 6 months. After they turn 6 months, they move on to fee-based classes. The main reason we stopped attending though was due to the distance being about 20 miles from our home so we decided to look into closer alternatives if we were going to start paying. However we haven't yet found a place that's comparable (we have tried Gigglin Marlin and YMCA so far) so are considering going back to SwimJim, despite the commute. Pros: The instructors were friendly, the facilities are clean, and the pool is the most heated of any other place we've tried. They also allowed us to stay in the water a little longer than the 20min to have a little open swim time as long as there wasn't a class after ours. During the 4-5 months we were attending, I always saw the same instructors and they knew my son by name so I would imagine SwimJim has low staff turnover. Cons: For those attending classes with small babies, the changing stalls aren't large enough to accommodate keeping your car seat on the bench (minor, I know) so while I changed, the only place to put the seat was on the ground which was usually wet. So I would recommend bringing an additional person to help you with changing etc. Also installing one of those machines that will do a quick dry of your clothes would be nice (The Tellepsen YMCA has one of these which was very convenient). read more

We really enjoyed our time at SwimJim. I didn't get in the water but I took plenty of pictures. I was afraid my wife would slip when carrying baby but the floors are extremely slip resistant. The water pools are warm which helps a lot. Parking is limited, there are several other establishments that share parking. We plan to go a few times monthly. read more

We are taking our daughter here for Swim N Splash lessons. They are free for babies 2 months to 6 months! I think it's really awesome and generous to offer these classes to parents! The facility is clean and the people who work here are really nice! The only downside is that their location is a bit far from us, but we still have a good time when we come here. read more

My 2 sons attend teen swim classes here. They like it. They improved a lot, especially the younger one-12 yo. The pool is clean and warm, I can watch them all the time. Parking is ok for weekend classes. Instructors are fine, some better than other (we tried few bc we had to reschedule few classes). Overall we are going to continue for loger (started in May). My son went to classes at SwimJim and I can say that we had a wonderful experience. I can now be confident when my son goes into the water and be safe. They have a great staff and you can tell they are passionate about what they are teaching the kids. read more

Honestly felt like the older lady with the glasses at the front desk was trying to keep me from returning. She was very racist and when I asked for schedules she would say "no rush just call and we'll schedule you" my baby enjoyed the swim class and enjoyed the instructor. We went to the free baby splash yesterday. It was fun and organized. It says 20 mins lesson but they don't mind we stay a little longer by ourselves afterwards. One parent got in the water and other family members can watch by the side. I rotated with my husband, so we both got 10 minutes with our son. Two young boys are our instructors and they are both pretty nice. We sang songs and played games. They prepared toys and tool. Very satisfied! I am not sure why it is free but I absolutely love it. We love this place! Coach Juan has been our 6 year olds coach for the last few months and he has excelled. Juan is respectful, but doesn't let our son get away with nonsense. That is what a COACH does. The front staff could be more engaging, but that is not an issue. Big marks. Will be starting my 3 year old there shortly. read more

My student has been attending for about 9 months and we have seen a marked improvement with swimming skills. I highly recommend this business if you're interested in your young person learning how to navigate in the water. It could save their life. read more

Cheerful friendly staff my children love going to swim class!!!

My 2children, 5 and 4 y.o. almost drowned today! I just put them to sleep and my daughter still was afraid. We just started going to swim lessons, been about a month and today was Halloween party where kids supposed to pick the treats from water. I approached instructor, who stood in the water and informed him that my children are beginners. He assured me that he'll be " right here" and they can stand on the edge in the water and so they did. I think it's been just a couple minutes as I got my eyes off them to put their clothes in the bag and as I turned around to my horror my son's face and body was completely under water and his little sister tried to get a grasp on anything, but there was NOBODY near them! For a couple seconds I looked around the pool, full of children and "instructors", calling out for help. Without further thoughts, but to save my children I jumped with my clothes and shoes and pulled them both up. My God, what a scary, scary experience. We bring our little angels to learn to swim and think they are in capable and safe hands here. Truth to be told , I picked this facility because it was affordable for us, cheapest in the area. Well, you get what you pay for. Incompetent and careless college boys to handle your child's safety and life. I am shaken to my core, but thank God, nothing horrible happened. read more

Brought lessons through Groupon. Would NOT recommend to anyone. They workers are inconsistent, constantly running late and sometimes never show to the lesson. One of the workers would nonstop complain how inconvenient the drive to the pool was...they set the location, not me. I feel like my child would have learned a lot more with SOME consistency since each time he had some one new (we went through at least 6 instructors) they would have to reassess his abilities which took away from the lesson. I would tell them what he knew and didn't know-they would ignore me and spend time doing assessment anyway. Some lessons were a complete waste since they would work on something he knew how to do already. All of this is on top of canceling the clear lake location which resulted in a refund that I'm still waiting for. When I called and asked I was told they credited someone else's credit card. Priceless! Don't go to them!!! read more
