I am not surprised that Dr. Won is a teacher at USC. I could not ask for a more experienced or skilled dentist. He has a lot of knowledge and uses it. When I need something requiring a specialist, he always gets me to that person ASAP. He is always conservative when picking my dental plan for me and chooses what is best to preserve my teeth that I already have. I highly recommend Dr. Won to anyone in need of a dentist that is a straight shooter but also who cares.

Dr. Won has been incredibly caring for many years, looking after me and taking a special interest in the health of my elderly mother, while being cognizant of our financial constraints, never recommending unnecessary procedures. Wow, I decided to SWITCH to Dr. Nick when my former dentist suddenly "found" problems in my mouth…read moreand saw a cavity he "needed" to work on which was completely uncharacteristic of all my prior years of evaluations. Turns out my former dentist was just a month shy of getting ready to sell his practice (and fatten the books). I suspected I had no such cavity as my dental health is quite good. That was about 7 years ago and no such cavity has ever been found by Dr. Nick's office. I love that his philosophy is to do everything he can to save patients' tooth material because once your tooth or part of it is gone, it's gone forever. I learned the hard way in the past by going to dentists who did unnecessary work and I have 5 crowns as a result. However since I've been coming to Dr. Nick no more unnecessary work on my teeth and I'm grateful. His staff is efficient, and the hygenists have been some of the best. Loved Flor, my last hygenist who was so conscientious AND so gentle at the same time.

I was alarmed that this office wouldn't even do a cleaning because of this "gum disease" and referred me to a periodontist for a deep cleaning and scaling. The periodontist, Dr. Yeoung, said I not only needed a deep cleaning, but also bone grafting and possibly implants. Alarm bells went off in my head because I have been so diligent with my dental hygiene for years and never even have had any bleeding during a cleaning. Also, it was going to be thousands of dollars that I didn't have. (Delta Dental would pay $1,000). I was freaked out and called my Ojai dentist and made the drive for advice. My trusted hygienist told me there was NOTHING WRONG WITH MY GUMS. These two dentists are upselling procedures and obviously are working together to swindle vulnerable patients, (which is easy to do since we can't see very well inside our own mouths and trust them for their expertise). My experience was the worst! I will be driving back to my previous dentist in Ojai for dental work!
