I needed to have my car jumpstarted due to a dead battery. I called AAA and they sent my request to Swinks. Sam called to let me know he was on his way and arrived soon after. I shared with Sam that the AAA technician that I saw the day before stated that he could not replace my battery because my car was a Subaru and recommended that I go to the dealership to get a new battery. Sam took a look at my battery and explained that he had my exact battery with him and could replace for me, noting that the AAA tech from the day before was mistaken. Sam was able to change the battery in a short amount of time and the cost was way less than the dealership would have charged me. He also took the time to explain to me about my new battery, how long it would last, and that it had a warranty. Sam saved me a lot of time and money. He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We called AAA on the evening of 5/21, and they dispatched Swinks. The first guy that came out had a total attitude & said he couldn't help us, and that someone with a different truck would call in about 15-20 minutes & let me know when they'd be there....then just left us! He basically stranded 4 women on the side of a dark road. I waited the allotted time and called again myself (clearly the first driver did not call for back up). Dan answered the call, I explained the situation & he was there within 10 minutes! He was kind, concerned, efficient & so knowledgeable! He had the car hooked up and ready to roll in less than 10 minutes! Dan saved the night...literally!! He delivered the car to the dealership & made sure we were safe before leaving! Dan is a total asset to Swink's, and I hope that if I ever need a tow in the future, I get him as my technician!! I see why AAA uses this company. My car dashboard said brake system failure and wouldn't start. Honda wanted it towed and could look at it in 2 days as they are very busy. 1st SWINK tech came out(forgot his name) and said let's check your battery first and that was the issue. He checked for basic prices and said their battery is in that range. He also explained what to expect after installation. 30 minutes later battery tech guy came and changed battery. Yesterday I needed a jumpstart for my 18 year old car. I used AAA and they sent out Samuel from Swinks. He was very courteous, friendly, and explained everything to me in great detail!! He knew why my car battery had "died" and told me how to prevent it in the future!! He called ahead of time to advise me when he would be arriving and what type of vehicle he would be driving. Had a dead battery that needed replaced. Call Triple A around 10:15ish and they said they'd be there around 10:56. Not only did Sam arrive around 10:30, he already figured out what the problem was (prior to knowing whether it was a dead battery or potentially the alternator) and had the battery replaced before 10:40...LIGHTYEARS ahead of schedule! I later realized he tried calling me twice but I totally missed it, but it was nice knowing that there was clear communication! They were dispatched to check my tires because my sensor noted tire pressure. He had the air but no gage to measure how much pressure. I asked him why he didn't bring a gage. He rudely asked me why don't I have one. He had a poor attitude and terrible customer service. I complained to the office and they tried to excuse it as saying he may have been reacting to my energy. Requested a tow through AAA app and made a genuine mistake by putting the wrong car on the description. Also unfortunately my phone blocked their calls. So I saw the tow driving around and flagged him down asking if he was here to tow me through AAA he said no he's waiting for a Tesla. Complete mistake and I can accept full blame. However, my tow was cancelled understandably so. When I requested another I had the correct information and was waiting for about 20 minutes when my request was canceled. I saw the call and called back and the lady (aka Randy; she didn't tell me her name but I connected the dots from other reviews) on the other side was horrendously rude. I explained the mistake but she demanded I tell her the drop off location which I did. She looked it up and persistently and repeatedly said 'No, they won't accept it.' She placed a AAA rep on the line and started with "We can't deliver the vehicle unattended". I explained that the drive would be with the car and she cut me off saying, "There's no parking allowed from 12-6." I let them know my mechanic would be waiting at the garage to accept my car and she waited and said it's unsafe... I said "I said okay I have another location" and she looked it up and said "We can't leave it in an empty lot" I said that it wasn't an empty lot it was my apartment in which she sounded annoyed and said "Is it street parking?" And I said yes I don't have a drive way I live in an apartment. She placed us on hold and came back after a minute and in the most condescending tone said , "Yeah no, we feel unsafe. We will not be accepting this request." Unsafe in my residential neighborhood???? Mind you I live in the suburbs sure it's not Beverly Hills but it's not unsafe... I think AAA should stop working with them, I didn't ask for my car to stop working and I don't need the added stress of an unhelpful and rude random lady making me feel like it's my fault. read more
