Absolutely horrible. I had gotten my teeth cleaned 6 months ago, apparently I had cavities then. HOWEVER I wasn't told about the issue until 6 MONTHS LATER and all of a sudden I have to get a filler for my "cavity" This feels like betrayal, dentists are supposed to be helpful, and keep stress from my teeth away. But they want to destory my tooth for a couple thousand. I would've appreciated that these people rather help me instead of running to steal my money. Money isn't as important as the teeth I'll have for the rest of my life. So no thank you for making me spend 100 something dollars for somethkng you didn't even clean right. and no thank you for being immature. Sorry for the lengthy review, just want to share how ugly I was treated by the "operations manager" Susan, under Dr. Allan Hsu... when I showed up for my appointment, Susan, who was sitting at the front desk, immediately tells me that my insurance is coming up unverified. When I made the appointment 3 weeks prior, I gave my medical insurance info. (my first time ever using my insurance on my own, didn't know it was 2 different things) 3 days prior to my appointment Yesenia (super nice) called to let me know I gave the wrong information and that they need my dental insurance and that all she needed was my SSN and that they'll call me if anything comes up. When I get there, Susan is asking for the member ID, I tell her that there is not one, that someone called 3 days ago to get the correct info. Within 3 minutes they find my insurance in their system, without any further info, but tells me I have an HMO plan so if I want to be seen I will have to pay out of pocket. I tell her to cancel my appt and I walk outside. I came back in and I asked to speak with a manager. Susan said she is the manager. I asked her why nobody called me to let me know that you didn't take my insurance, that I live far and I had to take off work to be here. She said well we don't run the insurance verification until the same day so we didn't know until just now. I said that doesn't make sense, why would you wait until the patient arrives to verify their insurance? She said well we tried to find it but we couldn't because you gave us the wrong info. I said someone called me a few days ago to get the correct info tho. She said yea but we weren't able to find it until now because you have an HMO plan. I said why didn't anybody call me to let me know that you don't take my insurance? She said well why didn't you give us the correct information? I said someone called asking for my SSN so that it could be verified, so after that, why didn't anybody call me? She said well most people can give us the correct info. I ask again, so why didn't anybody call me? She said well most people can walk in here with their benefits card and give us their member id. I say, so you're not answering my question, why didn't anybody call me? She interrupts me from talking and starts to raise her voice at me asking me what I wanted from her and what was my solution. I said I don't have a solution, I just want yall to know yall fucked up. She said in a mocking voice "woww you talk like that and you work in healthcare?" I said yall should've called me to let me know that you don't take my insurance. She said it's not her job to make sure I give them the correct information. I said no but it is your job to verify it and let me know whether you take it or not. Not wait until the second I walk in; she starts talking over me telling me that most people can walk in with their benefits card and have no problem getting it verified when they get here. I said well I'm not most people, I know how this works because I do this as well. She continues to raise her voice at me and talk over me. I tell her that she's a bitch said you are too, I said have the day you deserve and she said you too, and I left after that. The patient who I was referred by and I, called to get her name and who she reports to, which is Dr. Allan Hsu. Over the phone the other patient asked her why nobody called and she just kept saying that other people have no issues coming in with their dental cards or that I should've gave them the right info. I tried to reach Dr. Hsu directly but couldn't find any contact info. I would also like to note, that when making this appointment over the phone, one of the representatives I spoke with was also named Susan. I noted Susan's (and Haley's) name because of how rude they were and I was planning on making you guys aware when I arrived. Not sure if there are two different Susans, but now it all makes sense. If I was Dr. Hsu, I'd be embarrassed to have a manager on my team who acts like that. read more

They've been great for years, but went in for a check-up and the new dentist measured the depth of my gums to be 5's and 6's, numbers I've never had before. They recommended a deep cleaning for about $500, and then for me to come in every 3 months in the future for cleanings. I went to get a 2nd opinion, and the other dentist did the measurements at 3's and a couple of 4's (very different). Said my teeth were fine and I just needed the cleanings every 6 months. This is an update to my previous review. I have been a patient at this dental practice for a few months now. I was solely under the care of Dr. Thomas Adjan who was honestly the most kindest and gentle dentist I've experienced thus far. Fast forward, to last month when I went to see Dr Adjan to finish up my dental treatments. The last of which were 2 fillings as recommended by the doctor. Well little did I know that that was the last day of Dr. Adjan at Red Bud Dental. He first started with delivering my permanent crown in his usual meticulous fashion that took a good amount of time then he went on to my fillings. Little did I know that my fillings would take over and hour to be completed. Since I was numb on both sides of my mouth, Dr. Adjan did ask throughout the process how my teeth felt (i.e. pain, bite, discomfort, etc) but it was obviously hard to tell being completely numb on both sides of my jaw. Therefore, upon completion Dr. Adjan told me to come back if I felt any discomfort after the numbness wore off. Well I did start to feel discomfort and pain when the anesthetic wore off therefore I called the office for an emergency appointment on Tuesday. Much to my surprise I learn that Dr. Adjan was no longer with the practice and I was met with another dentist by the name of Dr Fauzy. The new dentist didn't have the same gentle bed-side manner however that was no longer my concern I informed the new dentist about my discomfort in the tooth where I had the filling he quickly glimpsed at my xrays and recommended a crown. I didn't understand why I required a crown when the previous dentist believed a filling would suffice. However I wasn't going to question his determination. Therefore, I scheduled yet another appointment for a temporary crown followed by a permanent crown delivery. I show up to my appointment and the new dentist tells me upon further investigation I suggest you be seen by a endodontist for root canal evaluation. So now what was once determined to be a simple treatment of a dental filling was now a root canal and crown. So I look around for a root canal specialist who accepts my insurance and i find a local endodontist. Fully expecting to pay the full rate for a root canal then a crown with my original (well not so original since my dentist left unbeknownst to me). The endodontist did his full evaluation 1. hitting the tooth in question to see if there is pain/sensitivity (nope), 2. Using a floss putting it in between the teeth in and out repeating the process to evaluate pain/sensitivity (none except the floss kept ripping because the filling was too tight not allowing room for the floss to freely move), 3. Cold stimulus test a refrigerant is sprayer onto the tooth to evaluate whether there is pain or discomfort (none). At the conclusion of my evaluation the endodontist Dr. Brett Strong at Round Rock Modern Dentistry a far superb dental office came to the conclusion that I didn't require a root canal and he recommended to start a steroid pack to reduce the inflammation and if that didn't work to go back to the dentist to have them fix my filling. So I started a 6-day steroid pack and upon completion I still had discomfort in my teeth so I call the office to see if they could fix my filling and the response I get is to seek another root canal specialist for a 2nd opinion! WTH i'm sure there will be a dishonest endodontist that will treat me for a root canal but why can't you even try to fix the filling first especially because I have the resource to seek out the aide of an endodontist if needed but nope that wasn't this practice's conclusion, rather they decided to shoo me away and refund me for my filling cost. Well how about the discomfort im feeling now due to their negligence or my jaw discomfort for chewing on one side of my mouth? This practice is a joke. Save your time and money and seek another dentist. This is a practice that doesn't want to take responsibility for the work done by doctors they've employed. I can see why my previous dentist is no longer associated with this practice. read more

I chose to try here because they are in my network, for which I am happy. I was greeted with a friendly voice in the phone. Was handled with patience and care every time I called in to reschedule, due to my own calendar conflicts. I was then greeted with the same friendly and welcoming attitude upon arrival. I had a friendly dentist who was prepared (I had provided my prior dental records for them to retrieve and they did), he was on time, and knowledgeable. It was my 1st of what will be meant visors to come. I recommend giving them a try if you're looking for somewhere to go. read more

Well, Grandma went up there (80 years old) to have a tooth glued back in as a temporary fix until she could decide what she was going to do. No joke, when they say temporary, it did not even last till she got home. I don't know that she will be spending the 3,000 for the next option...LOL, I'm sure the 3,000 option would last longer than the trip back home. Yes, I do believe they could have done better. Writing this while before the novicaine has even worn off... I'm not proud of this, but I hadn't been to the dentist in 14 YEARS. The longer I waited the more nervous I got about how bad it would be when I finally did go, so I kept putting it off. Well, I finally got my courage up and went to Red Bud Dental and I am so very happy that I did. The entire staff made me feel really comfortable and were not judgemental at all about how long I had gone without seeing a dentist. They put a really positive spin on it and made me feel really good about coming in. And it turns out that while I did have a lot of plaque build up I only had one cavity - my only cavity ever in my 30 years. I'm not sure who was more surprised - me or them! I went in this morning for a full mouth debridement and to have the cavity filled. I was quite nervous but the bedside manner of the staff put me at ease. Both procedures went very smoothly and I am was really impressed with how professional and well-coordinated they were. Dr. Ochoa and her staff are great! read more

I had a great first time visit here, Cullen gave me the paperwork I had to fill out and highlighted the items as well, while offering me a water bottle. So far so good. Then I get to meet Oni, who I'm assuming is the assistant and she was very sweet, then I got to Dr. Tran who off the bat just had good vibes. Usually when I get my teeth cleaned, my mouth gets very watery and with her, she knew how to work around my mouth like a 6th sense. The voicemail goes straight to a full mail box then forwarded to the same inbox that is full. Can someone please give me a call/email back regarding what my options are. This dental office has TWO TVs in each room! It was a little difficult to see both at the same time, but I was able to watch the Texans game as well as SportsCenter at the same time, while I was getting my teeth cleaned. One is mounted on the wall straight ahead of you, and the other is mounted on the ceiling so that you have a clear view when you are lying back for your cleaning or procedure. That's enough about the TVs. The receptionist is cute, the manager is a cougar, and there's an Xbox in the lobby which will keep boys of any age occupied. The cleaning was very thorough and I received a professional-grade whitening kit, free of charge, and with my insurance didn't pay a single cent out of pocket. I don't particularly like going to the dentist, but being able to watch ESPN made it bearable. This is my favorite dental office by far. read more

I originally came in for a cleaning last week after god knows how long since my last dental appointment (about 3 years...). I ended up just doing the digital x-rays and needed deeper cleaning work so scheduled 2 additional sessions for the left and right side. Dr. Kaye and the staff there were extremely friendly. I was offered coffee and water several times during my first 2 visits so far. They even give you pillows and blankets as well as offer to turn the channel of the Tv mounted on the ceiling for you! I was a bit scared about the deep cleaning since I've been told you're gums get really inflamed and sensitive afterward, but honestly, Dr. Kaye numbed me up so well that I didn't feel a thing! Even the shots of anesthetic were applied so gently that I barely felt it except for a teeny sting in the beginning. I"m extremely satisfied with the work she's done so far and am completely at ease about my appointment to get the right side deep cleaned. Also, the lobby is ADORABLE and you get a FREE whitening kit that is a lot better than those cheapo whitestrips on your first visit. The only thing I've noticed that's a bit bothersome is they're still waiting for their blinds to come in for the front lobby, so it gets really bright and blinding while waiting in there during morning appointments. read more

I had to give 1 star but if I could I would give none. Front office staff are not pleasant and act like they would rather be somewhere else. All reception and managing staff are not professional or friendly, you don't even get greeted when you walk in the front door. Daughter had a 740 am appt. 1/2 hour later still waiting to be seen by any staff. After 30 minutes of waiting they finally told her they had an emergency and will be awhile longer. No regard for customers time so she walked out. My son had a prior visit in which he ended up leaving in tears. For a Family practice they are not kid friendly. I needed a new bridge. When ordering no one even asked me about what color it should be until the first one came back wrong. Took 3 times to get the color right and 2 months later with a temp on the whole time. read more

I liked that my hygienist from a previous office transferred here as well. The only reason I transferred was because I live in Round Rock now and wanted to do my personal care close to home. The staff here is wonderful! They are very welcoming and very engaging. The atmosphere is very relaxing. You can watch a favorite show with the televisions provided or relax to the music playing on the speakers. I was so much at ease and relaxed, I was afraid I might start snoring! This is my first time at this dental office and I am more than satisfied. I've been looking for a dental office since I moved to the Austin area 4 years ago. The office was clean and check in was smooth and easy. Dr. Tran and Ryan were meticulous and gentle all throughout treatment. Martha, the office manager was exceptional. She was very kind and welcoming, as well as taking her time explaining insurance benefits, treatment plans, and answering any questions I had during my visit. I called the insurance company and had an investigation done so that I could get the $360 back that I paid them for the work they did not do and somehow they forged documents to show that I had two crowns in my mouth?!? I don't know how they did this but this was an all time low for any establishment that I have ever done business with. I originally had a good experience at Red Bud Dental, but that changed one January day when I went in with a slight toothache. I was told that I needed a bridge. Trusting Dr. Ochoa's expertise, I believed that was what I needed. It seemed my insurance knew more than the doctor because they didn't pay the full benefits because they didn't said that it wasn't needed. After getting the temporary bridge, I was in pain that was so bad. The pain had me waking up at 1 in the morning. When I called the office, they scheduled me to come in and get the teeth shaved. After this procedure was done twice, I was still in pain. Dr. Ochoa told me that I would be in pain for the rest of my life. I thought that was the most ridiculous thing that I had heard. If I was told this in advance or giving other options, I would not have had this procedure done. Another dentist shaved the right portion of the teeth, and I am no longer in pain. read more

Rude customer service representative on phone. I called to setup an appointment with this dental office since my partner goes here. The person I spoke to was rude and inconsiderate, she treated me like she was annoyed I had called. I ended up telling her to not worry about setting an appointment, I'd go elsewhere. I don't expect much from customer service, but I expect more than feeling like I'm an inconvenience when I'm about to spend thousands of dollars in dental work. My partner recently saw this dentist again and agreed with me that this customer service representative was rude. Me and my money went to another local dental provider, who's customer service is top notch. Oh, and my partner will be switching dentists too. read more

Originally chose this dentist due to location. Every time I went I saw a different dentist which I did not like. The last appointment I had, they cancelled due to the Dentist not being available. They automatically scheduled me another appointment which I did not know about or agree to. I was not real happy with the service or the people, so I found another dentist that I like a lot better. A couple weeks later I get a $30 bill in the mail for missing the appointment that I did not make. There are better options close by. read more
