This is a little gem. It is absolutely outdated but CLEAN, quiet and comfortable. The bed was especially comfy. There was a room available with a full kitchen and ice machine for those on a budget. There was a thorough continental breakfast with coffee, decaf, tea, and hot chocolate mix, real and almond milk, OJ, a selection of cold and hot cereals and a selection of breads and bagels with a variety of toppings, hard boiled eggs, pastries, yogurt, apples and bananas. We slept well for a reasonable price, ate and got on our way. We will definitely stay here when traveling north again. Oh, dogs are allowed!

Been here 3 times in last year or so when im traveling. dig this place. Just outside of town. Clean place. No drama. Found it specifically for the jacuzzi & pet friendly! Price is fair. Good parking. Even for my rented u-haul. Green grass & hammocks. Pool open during summer. Jacuzzi is big & open outside year round in a patio. So it has a roof for rain & snow. Its new with a oldschool flare. I think its a hidden gem! : )

The sign at night. I like the details of the mountain in it!

I needed an inexpensive place to stay and the Swiss Holiday Lodge satisfied that need and desire! No frills or gimmicks, the room was cozy and comfortable but had all the bases covered: refrigerator, microwave, heater, A/C. Plus the hot water was instantly hot! Breakfast was simple and got you going in the morning till you found something more substantial; its a motel not a restaurant. Great for the price.

View from our room- my "office" for the day.

Spent a long weekend here with my husband. Prompt checkin and nice staff. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed. Loved soaking in the jacuzzi after our day hikes. We also used one of the BBQ grills one evening to grill some steaks and hang out on the grassy area. Continental breakfast was nice, as well. I really liked the location of this hotel, plus the price was good. Nice view of Mt Shasta right outside our room's window! I had to do a little work on my laptop and the WiFi quality was great. I would stay here again.

Late arrival but appreciating the ideal weather and quiet atmosphere.

5 stars based on motels of similar price. Stayed M-F, summer, 2016 What I loved: - friendly family owners who met all our needs - secluded/quiet - beautiful view of Mt. Shasta - close to hwy for all our adventuring - close to town - continental breakfast was perfect - clean and manicured property - COMFORTABLE beds! - very reasonably priced - community kitchen stocked with all we'd need to cook meals - fridge/microwave in room - the HAMMOCKS! - pool and hot tub maintained Yes, it's a bit "dated" of a motel but none of that mattered in the end. We had a great time and would definitely stay again. 5 stars based on motels of similar price.

We stayed here for two nights while doing some spring skiing at Mt. Shasta Ski Park. Overall, it was a great place to stay if you're looking for an affordable option with hot tub access. We would stay there again! Pros: Comfortable bed TV, microwave, and fridge in room Large (8 person) hot tub was very hot, jets worked, and no one was ever in it when we used it Great location right off the freeway and 15 minutes from the ski park Affordable Heat and AC in room, with additional heater in bathroom Felt safe and clean our entire stay Fast wifi Cons: Only toiletries provided were 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner and a bar of soap. No hairdryer or iron either (although maybe we could have asked for those at the desk, I'm not sure) Continental breakfast was fine, but aside from bagels everything was super sugary (danishes, knock-off fruit loops and other sugary cereals). Coffee was not good.

Bad photo angle, but there's a view of Mt. Shasta. Nice area to explore.

Nice views & Great value for an inn. I would stay here again. Small refrigerator & tv in room with wifi included. Clean bathroom. Plenty of clean towels. Plenty of parking. The owner was a nice guy & breakfast (toast, pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee etc) was left out until past 10am. Not much lighting at night so it's difficult to find if arriving late. Right next to the freeway though.

Such a pleasant experience! We stayed at another lodge in the area a different night, and the difference was night and day. I guess we went in with cautious, low expectations after the other place, but was pleasantly surprised here. I was going to post pics of our room, but the photos posted by the business owner are accurate and look just like our room! The breakfast was continental, but more than enough for us. Lots of carbs (both sweet and not), a couple of fruit options, protein (hard boiled eggs, yogurt, peanut butter, cream cheese), and to drink: regular and decaf coffee, good assortment of teas, hot chocolate, orange juice, regular and even soy milk. The heater was an old Thermador, but worked just fine (a little too well even, as we woke up sweating in the middle of the night), but at least it worked! We weren't staying long, just needed a quiet, safe (and preferably clean) room to get some shut eye. I felt comfortable taking off my shoes and using the shower (yes, the other place we stayed we did not feel comfortable doing either). Swiss Holiday delivered a pleasant night, and we were on our way in the morning well-rested, with satisfied tummies. I would definitely stay again.

Pool and jacuzzi with grass area

We found this lodge due to it being pet friendly. Upon arrival we were blown away by how lovely and charming this lodge was. Our family of 5 stayed in the suite, and it held us perfectly. It had all the appliances and amenities needed to cook for yourself. They have a pool and jacuzzi with an amazing grass area with hammocks. There is also a fun lake nearby named lake siskiyou to go swimming and walk around. Breakfast was included and enjoyed. Our family loved this hidden gem!

Food left in the "cleaned" room when we arrived.

The room was first floor near the stairs and smoking area outside, but that was not a problem at all. The room was clean, towels and bedding were clean and crisp. I liked the welcome note on the bed. That was really sweet of them! The room had a microwave and small fridge w/freezer. There was a small office desk with coffee and ice. Tv, a/c, heater unit. Two things to note: 1. If you use 3 ports to charge at the clock on the nightstand, it uses too much power and one of the electronics needs to be unplugged. There are wall outlets, so you'd need to use those. 2. We didn't have a shower curtain when we arrived. I thought it was one of those modern places where it's just open, but we definitely needed a shower curtain. I felt so bad showering and getting everything wet in the bathroom. Housekeeping was kind to answer quickly and gave us towels to clean up. The fan in the bathroom isn't that effective. I suspect they'll have a mold problem in the future. The light switch to the bathroom is on the outside, which I thought was odd. Other than that, we had a pleasant one night stay. We would stay here again!

The rooms all run along a wooden walkway facing the parking lot. I was notified there would be construction from 9 to 5 which wasn't a problem for me as I was arriving after 5 and leaving before 9. This was a bit of an issue for me as one of the reasons I booked was that just coming off of a knee replacement I wanted a room that I could park directly in front of. If they had disclosed this, I would have gone somewhere else. Secondly, the pillow situation was pretty horrible, old feather pillows which flattened down to nothingness, no support at all. The heating unit was one of those old wall units with a really loud fan, so couldn't keep that on. This is a major sanitation concern. IF the property thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the kitchenware between stays, this chore is an unnecessary burden on paying guests. It is incredibly unsettling to think the dishes we used may not have been professionally washed or sanitized. The bathroom was well-maintained and included two showerheads. However, I wish that there was a place in the bathroom to set your toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaver, etc. This did not feel like a hotel at all; It definitely gave me a house-like feel with raised ceilings, a microwave, a refrigerator/freezer, a heater/air conditioner, and even a hammock that drapes over both beds. The TV was quite small but I liked the option of signing in to your streaming accounts like netflix, Disney + etc. They do have other things in the room that you can take, but will be charged at your bill upon check out like a souvenir hat, beanie, blanket and hammock. A wine/bottle opener is also provided in the room. There are snacks in a box along with the drinks in the fridge for purchase as well. They even provided a SHOE DRYING gadget for your wet shoes which helped sooo much as well as a mount for your ski gear. Besides the room being awesome, there is a small café/bar, an office, meeting room, a rental center and a kitchen located in the front for guests to share. Something I really loved about the place is that they have plenty of space for outdoor gatherings! Designated fire pits/ bbq pits are spaced out and located around the LOGE. Speaking of fire pits, they also provide fire wood and s'mores supplies which is a huge bonus! The parking lot is decent, but I can see it getting packed during the busy season so try and get there early! We weren't sure how to check out so we called the front desk and told them our room number and check out time.
