A photo of the ripped up floor

It ok. But the room is very old. I got the room that should have two rooms. It more like one with two bed and a door. Also the shower head is facing towards the wall so it very hard to use. And the floor is ripped up. Look at the pictures below. Only come here if you really have to.

This Best Western was clean, rustic (appropriate for the area) and centrally located. We appreciated having EV chargers on site that were readily available. There is an on-property restaurant for dinner and a bar. Breakfast is an add-on here. The front desk employees were friendly and happy to help.

This hotel is name The tree house and I think it really gives that vibe with the decor, laid back feel while being nestled around beautiful tree lines. There's shops nearby and easy access to the highway. I will definitely return. Beautiful getaway

The separate sink outside of the bathroom

The Mountain View room was comfortable and clean. What I loved was the A+ air conditioning, having a separate sink outside of the bathroom and good water pressure in the shower. The king bed was very comfortable as well. Super glad I took my pillow as the pillows were very firm. It was quiet and cozy.

We had a Mountain View 1 Queen bed for three nights. It was a small room but comfortable. There are two sinks, a small refrigerator (no freezer section) and small microwave, and a single cup coffee maker. Our room was on the ground floor and had two entrances; one in the interior hallway, and the second directly to the outside with a small patio and providing convenient access to the parking lot. It was very convenient for unloading and loading our car on arrival and departure. The air conditioner is relatively quiet so we were able to get a good night's sleep each night. My cell phone charger would not fit in any of the outlets in the table lamps. I had to charge it in the bathroom. There are no other available wall outlets. I recommend you bring an extension cord if your charger is large. The towels are on the thin and small size and we were only provided one of each per person. We could have called for additional towels but didn't bother. My husband wants me to mention that the television remote has minimal functions, making it hard to choose channels. For a hotel with a pool and hot tub, which we used, you'd think the shower would have a line to hang and dry swimsuits. Instead, we hung them over the shower curtain bar and dripped water onto the floor. There are four Tesla chargers on the premises and they are installing a number of general EV charging stations on the south and west side of the hotel. The location can't be beat. It's an easy walk to the main drag of Mount Shasta. There is a supermarket, hardware store, autoparts store and a bank across the parking lot from the hotel. While not the best hotel, Best Western name withstanding, it is one of the nicer places we've stayed during our many visits to Mount Shasta and we plan to stay here again on our next trip.

    The wand from the curtains

I have stayed here many times and am here now. The gal that checked me in was terrible. I asked for a certain room, and she just said "that would be like twice as much". Mind you, I have stayed in that area all of the time. I asked again how much more... never looking at her computer she again said "like twice as much". I took the room she gave me, boring since the hotel is quiet. I went to close curtains and the wand is broken and on the ledge. There are lots of options here, may look in to them!!

View of Mt. Shasta from our private balcony

Cute cabin feel! Walking distance to downtown. Incredible views! We stayed in room 333 on 8/4/2025. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were clean and comfortable, pillows were perfect - and I have a difficult time with pillows because of my neck. Having two sinks was nice, one just outside the bathroom, and one inside the bathroom. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied were one of my favorites, high quality. The AC worked very well. We had a balcony with a view of Mt. Shasta. What a glorious view! Yes, it is very close to Hwy 5, but I only heard a small amount of road noise while on the balcony, never in the room. The indoor pool is very large and crystal clear. The spa was not available because they were replacing the heater, but at least the gentleman checking us in told us that upon check in. We were expecting the breakfast that we have become accustomed to at a BW Plus, so I was surprised to hear that it was not included with our room. Vouchers are available for their on-site restaurant for a fee. There are a couple of restaurants, a grocery store and a hardware store across the street. Lots of cute shops on the Main Street just a couple of blocks away. Trees surround the property. It was nice to sit on the private balcony and watch the birds fly around with Mt. Shasta in the background. The picture is one that we took from our balcony. Gorgeous!

The room was first floor near the stairs and smoking area outside, but that was not a problem at all. The room was clean, towels and bedding were clean and crisp. I liked the welcome note on the bed. That was really sweet of them! The room had a microwave and small fridge w/freezer. There was a small office desk with coffee and ice. Tv, a/c, heater unit. Two things to note: 1. If you use 3 ports to charge at the clock on the nightstand, it uses too much power and one of the electronics needs to be unplugged. There are wall outlets, so you'd need to use those. 2. We didn't have a shower curtain when we arrived. I thought it was one of those modern places where it's just open, but we definitely needed a shower curtain. I felt so bad showering and getting everything wet in the bathroom. Housekeeping was kind to answer quickly and gave us towels to clean up. The fan in the bathroom isn't that effective. I suspect they'll have a mold problem in the future. The light switch to the bathroom is on the outside, which I thought was odd. Other than that, we had a pleasant one night stay. We would stay here again!

The rooms all run along a wooden walkway facing the parking lot. I was notified there would be construction from 9 to 5 which wasn't a problem for me as I was arriving after 5 and leaving before 9. What was a problem was that the parking lot was roped off so you had to park on the outer edges rather than in front of the room, I was in 18. This was a bit of an issue for me as one of the reasons I booked was that just coming off of a knee replacement I wanted a room that I could park directly in front of. If they had disclosed this, I would have gone somewhere else. Secondly, the pillow situation was pretty horrible, old feather pillows which flattened down to nothingness, no support at all. The heating unit was one of those old wall units with a really loud fan, so couldn't keep that on. Hot and cold water difficult to get in shower, so either scald or lukewarm. there was no space to put items above sink on tiny shelf. I would not stay there again.

This is a major sanitation concern. IF the property thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the kitchenware between stays, this chore is an unnecessary burden on paying guests. If they do not reclean them, then the health and safety of incoming guests relies entirely on the honor system and the cleaning habits of previous occupants. It is incredibly unsettling to think the dishes we used may not have been professionally washed or sanitized. The cabin itself clearly got a "landlord special" French doors were stuck and wouldnt open. Had to call maintenance to get them fixed. The refrigerator and cabinet drawers overlap so tightly that opening the fridge makes the drawers to open, and vice versa. The fridge door is already dented, clearly from this problem. The blinds are old, broken, and don't close all the way. So we had to wake up with the sun every morning, spiderwebs in the ceiling corners throughout the cabin. For the price charged to stay here, guests should at least be guaranteed professional cleanliness. Unfortunately, this property missed the mark on all counts.

The LOGE was very communicative before the upcoming day to check in. Emails and texts were sent out every day to better improve our stay. Checking in was as simple as getting a four digit code and showing up to your designated room. Upon walking in the room we noticed how clean and welcoming it was. The bathroom was well-maintained and included two showerheads. However, I wish that there was a place in the bathroom to set your toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaver, etc. This did not feel like a hotel at all; It definitely gave me a house-like feel with raised ceilings, a microwave, a refrigerator/freezer, a heater/air conditioner, and even a hammock that drapes over both beds. The TV was quite small but I liked the option of signing in to your streaming accounts like netflix, Disney + etc. They do have other things in the room that you can take, but will be charged at your bill upon check out like a souvenir hat, beanie, blanket and hammock. A wine/bottle opener is also provided in the room. There are snacks in a box along with the drinks in the fridge for purchase as well. They even provided a SHOE DRYING gadget for your wet shoes which helped sooo much as well as a mount for your ski gear. Besides the room being awesome, there is a small café/bar, an office, meeting room, a rental center and a kitchen located in the front for guests to share. Something I really loved about the place is that they have plenty of space for outdoor gatherings! Designated fire pits/ bbq pits are spaced out and located around the LOGE. Speaking of fire pits, they also provide fire wood and s'mores supplies which is a huge bonus!
