Reserved via Expedia, check in was smooth. Older, but quaint with vintage decor. Bed was comfy. Clean, safe and very quiet! I like parking right in front of my room. Several nice choices of restaurants close by, close to fwy. A delicious served breakfast of fruit, coffee and freshly made Belgian waffles.

SUPER CUTE! Honestly, I want to keep this review to myself and in my heart because I'm being selfish and don't want this cute little place to get overrun by A-holes. It was clean and there's a waffle breakfast in the morning. I'm allergic to berries and they made a batch without berries just for me to be able to have breakfast every morning . :) If you don't want a waffle they still have other non-berry fruit, toast, boiled egg, and oatmeal that you can have. They have coffee and tea for you all day and they have a complimentary wine hour, which I didn't partake in because I was out hiking and exploring with my dog. This place is so lovely I can't wait to go back again. Every single person there was kind and helpful. Cheyenne, Kim, Mindy, and Kathy THANK YOU for making my 50th birthday trip special. Jake had such a great vacation with me. It was difficult trying to find a decent hotel that would accommodate dogs and I'm so glad this place did. This place felt like a home away from home.

Pleasant boutique hotel. I had a wonderful stay. The place is a little outdated but it was not a problem to me. The host are great they made cute blueberry Belgian waffle, 2 hard boil eggs with a bowl of fruit and coffee to complement the breakfast after an exhausting day of hiking. I stayed for 2 nights but didn't have breakfast the second morning.

Found this little gem off the 5 Interstate for the night. It had such a cozy charm and appeal. Front desk staff was so friendly and so welcoming. Our room was so beautiful and spacious. It had a living room a built-in desk and a large four poster bed. So clean and nice.

The room was first floor near the stairs and smoking area outside, but that was not a problem at all. The room was clean, towels and bedding were clean and crisp. I liked the welcome note on the bed. That was really sweet of them! The room had a microwave and small fridge w/freezer. There was a small office desk with coffee and ice. Tv, a/c, heater unit. Two things to note: 1. If you use 3 ports to charge at the clock on the nightstand, it uses too much power and one of the electronics needs to be unplugged. There are wall outlets, so you'd need to use those. 2. We didn't have a shower curtain when we arrived. I thought it was one of those modern places where it's just open, but we definitely needed a shower curtain. I felt so bad showering and getting everything wet in the bathroom. Housekeeping was kind to answer quickly and gave us towels to clean up. The fan in the bathroom isn't that effective. I suspect they'll have a mold problem in the future. The light switch to the bathroom is on the outside, which I thought was odd. Other than that, we had a pleasant one night stay. We would stay here again!

The rooms all run along a wooden walkway facing the parking lot. I was notified there would be construction from 9 to 5 which wasn't a problem for me as I was arriving after 5 and leaving before 9. What was a problem was that the parking lot was roped off so you had to park on the outer edges rather than in front of the room, I was in 18. This was a bit of an issue for me as one of the reasons I booked was that just coming off of a knee replacement I wanted a room that I could park directly in front of. If they had disclosed this, I would have gone somewhere else. Secondly, the pillow situation was pretty horrible, old feather pillows which flattened down to nothingness, no support at all. The heating unit was one of those old wall units with a really loud fan, so couldn't keep that on. Hot and cold water difficult to get in shower, so either scald or lukewarm. there was no space to put items above sink on tiny shelf. I would not stay there again.

Great resort & restaurant!…read more I stayed at Mt. Shasta Resort in 2015 when I attended a Crones Counsel gathering there. We all loved the cabin with Lake Siskiyou in the back yard. It was roomy, clean, quiet & comfortable. Three of us shared a 2-bedroom cabin. In 2017 I moved to Weed, and started coming to the restaurant at the resort for special lunches and dinners. The wait staff in the dining room is superb. They always make us feel like family. I sat on the outside deck for lunch last summer, but the wait staff out there was not at all the same. Food was slow coming and the everything was cold when it arrived. At my request, the fries were replaced with hot fries, but we had almost finished our lunch by the time they came. The food in the restaurant has been great without exception. I always ordered the Pork Ragu for dinner until they took it off the menu. I haven't been back for dinner. When I first started eating at the restaurant, one of the waiters told me about their rewards club for locals that I joined. They send me a certificate for $10 off when I have spent a certain amount. I think it's $200 which adds up fast. They also gift me a bottle of champagne every so often. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to use all the coupons quickly enough before they expire.

The location has potential, but our stay was highly disappointing…read more First and foremost, the checkout policy requires guests to wash all dishes prior to checking out. This is a major sanitation concern. IF the property thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the kitchenware between stays, this chore is an unnecessary burden on paying guests. If they do not reclean them, then the health and safety of incoming guests relies entirely on the honor system and the cleaning habits of previous occupants. It is incredibly unsettling to think the dishes we used may not have been professionally washed or sanitized. The cabin itself clearly got a "landlord special" French doors were stuck and wouldnt open. Had to call maintenance to get them fixed. The refrigerator and cabinet drawers overlap so tightly that opening the fridge makes the drawers to open, and vice versa. The fridge door is already dented, clearly from this problem. The blinds are old, broken, and don't close all the way. So we had to wake up with the sun every morning, spiderwebs in the ceiling corners throughout the cabin. For the price charged to stay here, guests should at least be guaranteed professional cleanliness. Unfortunately, this property missed the mark on all counts.

When I host guests at my house, I do everything I can to anticipate needs to make their stay as welcoming as possible. There are so many facets to hospitality. To say I was absolutely blown away by the level of care these owners put into their property is an understatement! When you read the other reviews about the cleanliness of the property/rooms, the fantastic communication and the attention to detail, believe them. Not only were the amenities more than we needed, but they anticipated our needs before we knew we'd have them. They're THAT good! There's also an on-site restaurant just past the lobby, which is convenient if you're not heading into town (the main downtown area is a short drive away). We were traveling with another couple who needed a ground floor room, and while the hotel doesn't have elevators, we were able to swap our second-floor room with theirs at check-in, which worked out fine. However, a few hours later we came back from dinner to find a woman walking into their room... yes, the one they were already staying in. Turns out the front desk mistakenly reassigned the same room to another guest. The staff member on duty (who had also checked us in) didn't seem particularly alarmed by the situation, which was surprising given the seriousness of the mix-up. It made me fear that someone had easily walked into our room too. I had also asked about borrowing some bags for cornhole, which is available in the front play area. The front desk agent wasn't very friendly and reminded me they were closing at 9pm and that there's a noise ordinance. Totally understandable, but it wasn't yet 9 and the activity area had already been shut down. One big heads-up for light sleepers: the inn is located very close to active train tracks. Trains came through several times overnight and the horns were loud. I'd suggest earplugs or choosing a different property if you're sensitive to sound. On a positive note, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a to-go breakfast bag when checking out. It included a pastry, granola bar, yogurt, and bottled water... perfect for our early morning hike up Mt. Shasta. A small recommendation to improve the guest experience: more attentiveness and care in how staff handle guest interactions could go a long way. Something as simple as a friendly tone and accurate room assignment tracking would've made a big difference. It's unclear how the same staff member who checked us all in didn't realize the room was already occupied.
