Wow this place is truly amazing. We came in on a Friday night and left on Sunday. We were in town for a construction meeting. This hotel is fresh and looks newly renovated. Very modern feeling with a great bed, great clean linens and fluffy white towels. The front desk employees we dealt with were both very friendly and personable. Shout out to Topaz and Shawn!! This was by far one of the BEST hotel stays we have ever experienced. Glad we took a chance and booked here. Definitely will come here again and recommend this place to others.

Clean safe and quiet. Loved our stay here and very convenient location. We go to Shasta often and stay in many different places. This is one of our favorites and nicely priced

Hiked Mount Shasta this weekend and needed a place to stay. Inn at Mount Shasta was the perfect distance and all the amenities you may need are not too far away. It is an older building, but it has been updated. AC worked great, good water pressure, comfortable beds, great low-key area and absolutely excellent customer service. Also their parking structure offers good size parking areas. I hate door dents, so I am always picky of where and how I park my truck. Why I rate them a solid five stars. Excellent location and the people working made us feel very welcome.

Bed was comfy. Ended up getting the family suite. The staff were friendly. Pricing was great.

We LOVE it here! We take two week long trip in Washington/Oregon every summer and split our drives to and from in half to make it less miserable--this was our first time staying in Mount Shasta. My husband booked a different motel and the pictures were deceiving to say the least. We quickly left and pull into the Inn at Mount Shasta and are so so happy we did. This isn't a "fancy" establishment, but is by far the nicest, cleanest motel I've ever stayed in. You can tell the owners and staff genuinely care about the little details; the interior decor is clean and updated, the beds were comfy with plenty of pillows, and there's even a lit patio with a fire pit and lawn chairs in the front to gaze at the mountains while the world wakes up in the morning. We were actually kind of bummed we were only booked for the night before heading home. Special shout out to the front desk receptionist when we checked in on 09/01 around 6:30pm--she had glasses and tattoos and was so sweet and accommodating!

Impressed! When you drive up it looks like a old motel, but freshly painted with outdoor areas. Walk in to this adorable cozy lobby. We had a family suite with 2 double beds, flat screen TV micro and fridge. Then there is a bedroom with a king bed and flat screen. Beds were very comfortable and room was CLEAN! Remodled and modern. But let me tell you about the towels, awesome, large and very soft, everyone commented on how nice the towels were.

The rooms all run along a wooden walkway facing the parking lot. I was notified there would be construction from 9 to 5 which wasn't a problem for me as I was arriving after 5 and leaving before 9. What was a problem was that the parking lot was roped off so you had to park on the outer edges rather than in front of the room, I was in 18. This was a bit of an issue for me as one of the reasons I booked was that just coming off of a knee replacement I wanted a room that I could park directly in front of. If they had disclosed this, I would have gone somewhere else. Secondly, the pillow situation was pretty horrible, old feather pillows which flattened down to nothingness, no support at all. The heating unit was one of those old wall units with a really loud fan, so couldn't keep that on. Hot and cold water difficult to get in shower, so either scald or lukewarm. there was no space to put items above sink on tiny shelf. I would not stay there again.

Great resort & restaurant!…read more I stayed at Mt. Shasta Resort in 2015 when I attended a Crones Counsel gathering there. We all loved the cabin with Lake Siskiyou in the back yard. It was roomy, clean, quiet & comfortable. Three of us shared a 2-bedroom cabin. In 2017 I moved to Weed, and started coming to the restaurant at the resort for special lunches and dinners. The wait staff in the dining room is superb. They always make us feel like family. I sat on the outside deck for lunch last summer, but the wait staff out there was not at all the same. Food was slow coming and the everything was cold when it arrived. At my request, the fries were replaced with hot fries, but we had almost finished our lunch by the time they came. The food in the restaurant has been great without exception. I always ordered the Pork Ragu for dinner until they took it off the menu. I haven't been back for dinner. When I first started eating at the restaurant, one of the waiters told me about their rewards club for locals that I joined. They send me a certificate for $10 off when I have spent a certain amount. I think it's $200 which adds up fast. They also gift me a bottle of champagne every so often. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to use all the coupons quickly enough before they expire.

This is a major sanitation concern. IF the property thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the kitchenware between stays, this chore is an unnecessary burden on paying guests. If they do not reclean them, then the health and safety of incoming guests relies entirely on the honor system and the cleaning habits of previous occupants. It is incredibly unsettling to think the dishes we used may not have been professionally washed or sanitized. The cabin itself clearly got a "landlord special" French doors were stuck and wouldnt open. Had to call maintenance to get them fixed. The refrigerator and cabinet drawers overlap so tightly that opening the fridge makes the drawers to open, and vice versa. The fridge door is already dented, clearly from this problem. The blinds are old, broken, and don't close all the way. So we had to wake up with the sun every morning, spiderwebs in the ceiling corners throughout the cabin. For the price charged to stay here, guests should at least be guaranteed professional cleanliness. Unfortunately, this property missed the mark on all counts.

We had opportunities to ask questions or voice concerns during our stay if needed and the reminders for check-out were helpful. When I host guests at my house, I do everything I can to anticipate needs to make their stay as welcoming as possible. There are so many facets to hospitality. To say I was absolutely blown away by the level of care these owners put into their property is an understatement! When you read the other reviews about the cleanliness of the property/rooms, the fantastic communication and the attention to detail, believe them. Not only were the amenities more than we needed, but they anticipated our needs before we knew we'd have them. They're THAT good! The inn itself is charming and the breakfast room is welcoming... we left too early to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast but noted it for next time. We did make it to the evening wine tasting, which was a nice touch. A white and a red were offered. Small hiccup... the server mentioned she'd have to run across the street to their sister property to grab a wine opener. We didn't want to wait so we just went with the red since it was already open. She also gave us a dinner recommendation that turned out to be a good call. The room was spacious and clean for two people. Good amenities... a safe, a fridge that's bigger than a mini but smaller than a full size, a microwave, and a dinette seating area. The outlets are dated and made keeping a charger plugged in a little frustrating. But the detail that genuinely impressed me... two luggage racks. Sounds small but even higher end hotels usually only give you one. That kind of thoughtfulness adds up. There's also an on-site restaurant just past the lobby, which is convenient if you're not heading into town (the main downtown area is a short drive away). We were traveling with another couple who needed a ground floor room, and while the hotel doesn't have elevators, we were able to swap our second-floor room with theirs at check-in, which worked out fine. However, a few hours later we came back from dinner to find a woman walking into their room... yes, the one they were already staying in. Turns out the front desk mistakenly reassigned the same room to another guest. The staff member on duty (who had also checked us in) didn't seem particularly alarmed by the situation, which was surprising given the seriousness of the mix-up. It made me fear that someone had easily walked into our room too. I had also asked about borrowing some bags for cornhole, which is available in the front play area. The front desk agent wasn't very friendly and reminded me they were closing at 9pm and that there's a noise ordinance. Totally understandable, but it wasn't yet 9 and the activity area had already been shut down. One big heads-up for light sleepers: the inn is located very close to active train tracks. Trains came through several times overnight and the horns were loud. I'd suggest earplugs or choosing a different property if you're sensitive to sound. On a positive note, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a to-go breakfast bag when checking out. It included a pastry, granola bar, yogurt, and bottled water... perfect for our early morning hike up Mt. Shasta. A small recommendation to improve the guest experience: more attentiveness and care in how staff handle guest interactions could go a long way. Something as simple as a friendly tone and accurate room assignment tracking would've made a big difference. It's unclear how the same staff member who checked us all in didn't realize the room was already occupied.
