Prime location to convenient town things (eg. shopping, restaurants, bank, freeway access) and Mount Shasta entry. Walkable too. Parking lot in a large L shape so it's easy to park in front of the room. Room itself was clean, comfortable, fully stocked and quiet. Check-in is easy. Got a door code to access which is nice and convenient. Communication was excellent, too. Texted my ETA on arrival and texted when Ieft, which is good because I left before the sun came up. Pleasant stay | Clean We booked the same day we needed a hotel. Booking was easy, check in was quick. The room was first floor near the stairs and smoking area outside, but that was not a problem at all. The room was clean, towels and bedding were clean and crisp. I liked the welcome note on the bed. That was really sweet of them! The room had a microwave and small fridge w/freezer. There was a small office desk with coffee and ice. Tv, a/c, heater unit. Two things to note: 1. If you use 3 ports to charge at the clock on the nightstand, it uses too much power and one of the electronics needs to be unplugged. There are wall outlets, so you'd need to use those. 2. We didn't have a shower curtain when we arrived. I thought it was one of those modern places where it's just open, but we definitely needed a shower curtain. I felt so bad showering and getting everything wet in the bathroom. Housekeeping was kind to answer quickly and gave us towels to clean up. The fan in the bathroom isn't that effective. I suspect they'll have a mold problem in the future. The light switch to the bathroom is on the outside, which I thought was odd. Other than that, we had a pleasant one night stay. Wow this place is truly amazing. We came in on a Friday night and left on Sunday. We were in town for a construction meeting. This hotel is fresh and looks newly renovated. Very modern feeling with a great bed, great clean linens and fluffy white towels. The front desk employees we dealt with were both very friendly and personable. Shout out to Topaz and Shawn!! This was by far one of the BEST hotel stays we have ever experienced. Glad we took a chance and booked here. Definitely will come here again and recommend this place to others. read more

The room itself was clean and recently modernized. The decor was simple and the space was quite large. There was ample parking and the water pressure in the shower was tremendous. The bed was comfortable and the check-in process was simple. Hiked Mount Shasta this weekend and needed a place to stay. Inn at Mount Shasta was the perfect distance and all the amenities you may need are not too far away. It is an older building, but it has been updated. AC worked great, good water pressure, comfortable beds, great low-key area and absolutely excellent customer service. Also their parking structure offers good size parking areas. I hate door dents, so I am always picky of where and how I park my truck. Why I rate them a solid five stars. This is my second stay at the Inn at Mount Shasta and I would happily stay again next time I am in the area. IaMS is a consistently clean, comfortable, and safe place to rest. My room was larger than expected and spotless. The shower had ample hot water and good water pressure. Inside the room, I couldn't hear any road noise at all and had a very peaceful night of sleep. Check-in and check-out were simple and the employee I spoke with was friendly and helpful. We stopped here on our way up north; what a quaint little town & a nice hotel. This is an older hotel that has been updated. We opted for one of the family, 2 bedroom units. The room was showing its age but everything was very clean & comfortable. The mattresses were on the soft side. The location was easy to find & there was plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly & helpful, offering local dining choices (which were not disappointing). If you have some heavy luggage, just be aware there is no elevator. read more

We LOVE it here! We take two week long trip in Washington/Oregon every summer and split our drives to and from in half to make it less miserable--this was our first time staying in Mount Shasta. My husband booked a different motel and the pictures were deceiving to say the least. We quickly left and pull into the Inn at Mount Shasta and are so so happy we did. This isn't a "fancy" establishment, but is by far the nicest, cleanest motel I've ever stayed in. You can tell the owners and staff genuinely care about the little details; the interior decor is clean and updated, the beds were comfy with plenty of pillows, and there's even a lit patio with a fire pit and lawn chairs in the front to gaze at the mountains while the world wakes up in the morning. We were actually kind of bummed we were only booked for the night before heading home. Special shout out to the front desk receptionist when we checked in on 09/01 around 6:30pm--she had glasses and tattoos and was so sweet and accommodating! read more

Felt unwelcome when we went to register. We had never been there before, nor visited the area. The lady barely said anything to us, did not greet us warmly. She sent a text with our room code and links to restaurants and hikes. We found out later there are many, many other places that were not listed in that link. We did like the soap products, easy to access, in containers hung on mirror and wall of shower. Windows do open, nice to get fresh air. HUGE room. Table was nice and convenient. The bed was a little too soft for our liking. Only one luggage rack (three beds in room). Noisy bath fan. Refrigerator issue: fridge cracked settled rumbled about every 20 minutes, made loud crack sound periodically. When unplugged it dripped loudly. Impressed! When you drive up it looks like a old motel, but freshly painted with outdoor areas. Walk in to this adorable cozy lobby. We had a family suite with 2 double beds, flat screen TV micro and fridge. Then there is a bedroom with a king bed and flat screen. Beds were very comfortable and room was CLEAN! Remodled and modern. They allow dogs! I was happy about that, as I'd seen this place before and wanted to check it out next time. So next time is now, and I'm very happy about our stay here. There's a lawn and small gravel area for the dog. A decent sized parking lot. The room was big enough and had a small window that opened for ventilation. Unfortunately the bathroom fan didn't really work well, despite whirling pretty loudly. But to make up for that the water temperature and pressure management have clearly been updated recently, as they were great. The room itself was modern and clean. Five stars on balance, as the price was also competitive. I'd definitely check here first next time I'm looking. read more

Really had high expectations from the reviews and photos on line. I really should have paid attention to the dates of the photos. The check in was easy and the person at the desk very friendly and efficient. I had booked a king room and let them know I had a small dog prior to coming. I was put in room 106, this is a handicapped accessible room on the ground floor quite near the lobby area. I hadn't requested a handicapped room but I suppose that's what was available. The first thing you notice on entering the room is how dark it is. The lighting seems to be a low energy bulb but the room could benefit from a less murky tone. There is a small sitting area as you enter with a couch, coffee table and desk. They have a small coffee maker, microwave and fridge. The bed was a king with two side tables, light sconces on the wall, a bureau and small TV. The bureau looked like someone had hit it with a chain, the paint was chipped and pitted. I checked out the bedding situation, there was a duvet, and sheets, not fitted sheets and they were certainly not an upscale brand, extremely rough. The pillows were almost like what you get on a plane, flat and stuffed with materials of an unknown origin. I travel with my own pillow so not an issue for me. The mattress was fine. The bathroom was large with tub shower combo and handrails around the room, I suppose this constitutes an accessible room. It was fairly clean but showing wear and tear in the corners and shower head, mold and some grime. The rooms open out onto a parking lot and there is a nice area to take your dog. The biggest issue for me was how noisy it was, the walls were paper thin and you could hear everything that was said next door and above you. I must have been underneath people who like to move furniture because that's what it sounded like. On the plus side it was cheap, allowed a pet and was near downtown. I also got an early start that morning as there was no incentive to stay in bed. read more

This is a motel - not an "Inn". For us the web site felt deceiving. It gave us the appearance that there is a nice common lobby, food service, and common grounds for socializing . This hotel is basically a converted Motel 6. Rooms face out to a common parking lot. The room itself is clean and spacious with no view other than a broken down car in the back yard. We wish we spent a longer time in Mount Shasta! It's such a cute town. We literally spent 11 hours at the hotel and most of that time we were sleeping! BUT they had such a cute little "backyard" with an outdoor fire pit and string lights all around the back, it created such a cute ambiance. There were 5 of us so we got a family suite, which consisted of a bedroom with a King bed and another room with two Queen beds. Seriously this was a better experience than some large chain hotels. Large, cool and clean rooms - pretty quiet too. There's no free breakfast but we felt that we definitely got our $s worth on this stay. The staff was great and engaged us in conversation while we were coming and going during the evening and the next morning. We missed that they had cornhole on the premises until it was too late to play. Doh! Would be great for a base for a vacation or if you were simply driving through as we were. Nice place! read more

My family, two dogs, and I decided to be adventurous for a weekend and needed a room to rest in! This was the only hotel nearby all the hiking places and at a decent price for dogs ($25 per dog per night). S E R V I C E: I booked the room through booking.com and maybe it was the communication from the website to the hotel, but we called them twice to send a receipt and confirmation email. Upon arrival, we checked in earlier than we were supposed to and they were able to give us a room! We needed extra shampoos and conditioners and they have us plenty, they encouraged us to drink the water from the sink since it's coming directly from Mount Shasta which I thought was cool. R O O M/H O T E L: The room was very clean and open. Two queen sized beds, and a decent sized bathroom. The hotel is located in the downtown area and surrounded by the cute restaurants. It's near the hiking areas and 30 minutes away from some falls. I do wish the hotel had a pool and a bigger area for dogs to roam around. We were so lucky to have found the Inn at Mt. Shasta. Thank you YELP! Look no further! We had an upstairs suite and we could see Mt. Shasta out of our window. That was a surprise and a joy. The office is charming and welcoming. It is small, but beautifully furnished and cozy with a welcoming fireplace. Our host was remarkably friendly and helpful and carried our suitcases upstairs to our room. there is no elevator. The room is actually a beautifully appointed suite. The decor is elegant and harmonious without being fussy. The front room has a long comfortable sofa with two unique foot rests, a desk, an alcove for the refrigerator, freezer and microwave. We were able to put our cooler on top of that. The closet space is very ample . The bathroom is also elegantly appointed and roomy. The wifi is strong. the TV is large and convenient. The bed is comfortable and the sheets and comforter are first class. We could lie in bed, look out the window and see the mountain. We did not want to leave. The weather was sizzling so we appreciated the air conditioner which has controls so it can be set on low or as you wish. The coffee is very good, but no breakfast is offered. I think it would have been nice to find perhaps a packaged cookie or sweetroll next to the coffee maker. The grounds are lovely. There is a grassy play area with a bean toss game set up which was fun. read more

We were so lucky to find this gem in Northern California. Stopped for one night during our move from LA to Seattle with dog, cat and mother in law and it went as seamless as possible. Glad we chose this place during our trip to Mount Shasta. Located within walking distance to downtown and food places and easily accessible to nearby highways to get to scenic spots. About a 10 min drive from Lake Siskiyou, 50 min from Burney falls, 15 min from upper/middle/lower falls, 15 min to Castle Lake, great views of Mount Shasta, etc. We checked in closer to 6PM on a Friday evening and the check-in process was very quick. No rooms available downstairs so we had to lug everything to the second floor. The room was very spacious and great modern design for a 2 star motel! The rooms looked like they were recently renovated with a modern flair. The room has a sleeping area with a king size bed, and another space for living area with couch, table with chair. Much more space than our hotel in Tahoe. For the price, it was a good deal! The walls are a bit thin, you can hear TVs and people talking but it didn't bother us at all. The rooms are accessible via outside so you don't need to walk through indoor lobby, hallways or anything. WIFI was pretty weak/slow at times. The room comes with a pretty big refrigerator and microwave. AC works fine. Coffee machine come with the room, so I used it a couple times to make coffee. Hotel is at 100% capacity during these times and the rooms are not left vacant for at least a day prior to your stay, but they state that they clean it well and rooms are accessible via outside. No room service (unless requested I believe) and you can check out by just leaving your hotel keys in the room. It's a dog friendly hotel so you'll see some furry pets walking around. Next time we're in town we will most likely stay here again given the price, location and cleanliness. read more

What a great choice this place was! Not only is it dog friendly, which was vital for us, but it's very well located, and it has the cutest little area to hang out with a fire pit. I met a really nice woman there after a fun day of exploring the area and we had a lovely chat. I didn't want to leave. The customer service was also top-notch. I asked if they had a room available with a door between the beds because my husband snores so loudly that it keeps me from sleeping. Not only did they have one that worked perfectly, but she gave me a AAA discount - even though I think she wasn't supposed to on that kind of room. Then, when I accidentally locked myself out of my little separated bedroom (oops), they came and quickly helped me out without making me feel like a dumb dumb. The whole area has such a great vibe to it that I'll definitely be back and I'll most likely stay here again. A great choice if you are in the area. read more

I absolutely love this place. I've stayed a total of 4 times now and it's been consistently enjoyable. Rooms have been recently updated & well maintained which is very nice. The beds are super fluffy and comfortable. I also appreciate the all white bedding because you can tell it's clean. Speaking of cleanliness, the entire room was very clean including the microwave and fridge which is great because hotels often overlook those spots. Bathroom is nice as well, I noticed my most recent stay this month that they have liquid soap dispensers now which I thought was pretty cool. Every time I come here I feel very safe which is extremely important to me. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating which I really appreciate. Overall recommend anyone visiting the Mount Shasta area to stay here! read more
