I did not find I had to work in a retail store for a living, I dont know where this snotty attitude comes from. The store in orlando was not like this. But every time I go into the st johns one i get this "I am better than you"feeling. Zero wasn't an option.... September 2020 Rolex released new models. Release day I went to Mayors and asked what it took to get in line for a specific $10k watch. I was literally laughed at by a lady with long dark hair, aprox 50 years of age, olive complexion, and of course a covid mask. She was not the slightest bit helpful and she made me feel dumb for asking about the process to purchase something she supposedly sells. I asked if I could buy a different watch to be eligible for a place in line or even something diamond for my wife. Every attempt was met with laughter and dismissal. I honestly felt shamed and quickly left feeling insulted and enraged. I hung my head to my truck but decided to drive 15 min to Underwoods San Marco just to see if they were as smug an pompous as Mayors and holy smokes! GRETA HOLMES at UNDERWOODS greeted me with a friendly smile and explained their process of purchasing a steel sport Rolex. About 1 month later, a phone call - Greta from Underwoods - it it's here if you can come in..... I've since purchased 3 watches from Greta at Underwoods totaling ~$91k. I'm sure Mayors has their niche but I also hope their rent goes up. read more

I own 2 Tags. I needed batteries for both. She told me we can just go to fast fix it - it's no longer under warranty. Bottom I had 8k in watches and wasn't going to ruin my watches taking it to a 5 dollar repair shop. I agree with the other gentleman's post. Service here sucks. I will never buy anything here. There are plenty of high end Jewelry or watch shops in Jax save your time with bad customer service in the future. P.S. I used to live in Tampa and we were life long customer's at Ackerman. We would get fantastic service after the sale. Customer service after the sale is what makes or breaks a customer's loyalty. These people don't understand the concept. read more

I've have multiple bad experiences from this store. I purchased a Omega Speedmaster from this location and it had a tiny dent on the bezel that I mistook as a smudge when I was at the store. I was outside the return/exchange period due to traveling out of state, so I decided to bite the bullet. My next negative experience happened when my wife ordered a new bracelet for my watch and we went to pick it up and have it installed. Not only did we have to wait over an hour for them to install it, but as I was driving back home I noticed a scratch on the metal bracelet. Lesson learned, I'll be going directly to a different store for my future purchases. read more

Mariam is wonderful, along with her staff. My husband had been chatting with Mariam about pricing and what he wanted to get for me, we set an appointment and Mariam helped me find the PERFECT piece. It took me several try ons and going back and fourth, she was so patient with me, and so helpful. While Picking out my timepiece, my husband asked Mariam for a specific watch for himself and Mariam told him as soon as she got it in, she would call him...less than 3 weeks later, she actually called! We left Mayors with another great price, and each time we have been in we have been treated as more than just customers. Their whole staff makes you feel so welcomed and important, and most of all, never rushed or pressured. Thank you Mariam and staff for giving both my husband and I two beautiful pieces! Super bizarre experience. I'll start with saying that the Rolex AD experience is just foolish beyond belief where you can walk in ready to spend $20,000+ cash and be condescended by someone who may or may not have graduated high school talking to you like you are looking to get on a list for an organ transplant for a dull, mass produced shortage of supply gimmick. I have done tens of thousands of dollars of business with this location on brands I enjoy more and don't come with all of the goofy begging and hoops to jump through for the privilege of buying their product. My brother has always wanted a Rolex and I have been looking around as a wedding gift. I knew the drill when I walked in. I was coming from the gym, not in the mood to play the game where you come in dressed like a French butler trying to prove your worthiness and not flaunting the fact I've spent $50,000 at this place and have never been treated more rudely in my entire life by the employee I dealt with just asking what the availability over the next few months of a few Rolex pieces were. Just horribly offputting experience to be laughed at wanting to spend money at a business. You all clearly don't need my business so I'll happily take it elsewhere. Advice for management is the people asking about Rolex may very well be enthusiasts and buyers of the other brands in stock who don't appreciate being treated like peasants by an obnoxious employee for asking a few questions about supply. read more

I have been a customer for decades in Atlanta and in Jacksonville and with Beth's expertise I have made so many great decisions on the best of the best. If you are a watch person Beth has Grand Seiko, Omega, Rolex, Tag, Breitling and Rolex. It is like being in a candy store with Beth as your personal guide. I was a tiny bit skeptical of shopping here at first due to having to be buzzed in. However , Elle let us in and immediately made us feel welcome! Unlike walking into Levy's if you are aren't dressed to impress they won't pay you any attention. So, I walk in after a long night of drinking away the Ga Bulldog loss to the Gators, and Elle came to brighten the day! She didn't pre judge , made us feel at ease looking at Rolex watches , didn't pressure to make the sale at all and was a delight to speak with! So needless to say , she sold me my first Rolex! Literally the most difficult people to deal with of any jewely store that I have been to in Jacksonville. Asking questions was like pulling teeth and they were adverse rather than open to helping. The worst customer service I have ever received from the Store Director Mariam for service on my Cartier timepiece. She looked me in the face and told me that their Mayors technicians are authorized to work on Cartier watches yet the Master Watchmaker states this in a document which I was not supposed to see but the manager Rebecca forwarded me the whole estimate on my watch. Cartier states: "Following careful examination of your watch by our Master Watchmaker, diagnostics show that an intervention has been performed by a non-authorized technician. A complete service is necessary in order to ensure the future performance and the security of the movement as we are unable to guarantee this intervention. " I purchased the watch from Tourneau which includes lifetime warranty on battery changes but that clause is voided if I were to take it to a place that was not authorized to open it up. The only ones to make the battery changes since my purchase were Tourneau at the Time Machine, Walt Whitman shops and King of Prussia locations and once at Cartier. Store manager Mariam said that I cannot blame Mayors. On the contrary. I can and I do. Mayors estimate for the initial overhaul on my watch came out to $430. I declined since I knew that was wrong for service on timepiece with quartz movement since I had my Tank Francaise serviced for $495 a few years ago. I told Mayors to send it to Cartier HQ in TX instead where complete service is $200 and $275 for the Mayors markup. NEVER AGAIN will I even set foot in that store which is always empty since there is little inventory and selection, the staff is not knowledgeable of basic facts of timepieces that Watch Idiot Savants know when making a purchase, and a store director who has a major attitude and needs to take a professional selling course to work on her aggressive approach on acquaintances I know who have gone elsewhere since Mariam was so pushy in her sales pitch that they were turned off. In short, a process for watch service that would have taken six weeks at the longest had I gone to Cartier directly is still ongoing and I first took the watch to Mayors in January. For those in the Jacksonville area, suck it up and drive the 1.5 hr to Orlando Mall of Millenia where you will have more of a selection, the staff there is knowledgeable, and you have other options of stores i.e. Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Hublot, Breitling if you desire. If you have been to the Town Center location, I'm sure you've noticed how it's always empty and the faces of the sales staff are constantly changing with their high employee turnover. Think about it. There is a reason for that. The Town Center location doesn't even have in its budget for a physical security guard like their next door neighbors Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton and one has to buzzed into Mayors. Despite their security precautions, they still got jacked!!!! LOL The burglars didn't make out too well since Rolex is the only high end watch they carry with a limited selection. Cartier revoked their dealership and Panerai pulled out the Jacksonville location but you can find it in Orlando. :) read more
