The food itself was kind of disappointing but the frozen custard is delicious. had the mint chocolate chip flavor of the day with hot fudge. Excellent! My husband had a peanut butter shake. For food, I had nachos and he had a hot ham and cheese. The nachos were just basic like stadium nachos and the chips were sort of stale. Visited this place for the first time. Prices were pretty reasonable. Butter pecan custard was awesome. We came here because if the reviews and I am glad that I read them. We were not disappointed. Everyone got what they wanted. They order was correct. And the wait time was minimal. This will definitely be a regular stop when we come through. It is hard to find and signage is not great. It's across the street from Walgreens and behind the bank. You can see Walmart from their parking lot. It is for sure a gem of a find. All the locals know where it is at. read more

I really, really want to love this business since The Delta Cone changed hands and went downhill from there. Sycamore Drive In has a menu as large as any diners', except that 80% of the offerings are ice cream concoctions and desserts which is what all great menus should look like. I don't think they've raised the prices since 1980, and they may have made up the names of most of these concoctions back then too because I have no idea what most of them are. It would help if there were brief descriptions after each bizarre name. The location is terrible. It's behind the Bank of Wolcott on 6th Street on a tiny side street. It's a non-descript, little, white shack. If not for the menu posted out front, I couldn't even guess what kind of business it was. In fact, the only reason I came upon it was because the lady behind the counter at Wendy's told us they didn't have any chocolate malts, but we should try Sycamore Drive In's because she's such a huge fan of theirs. Then, she was kind enough to direct us. There was only two staffers behind the order window, and they weren't particularly prompt to get to the window. Once they do acknowledge you and start taking your order, they are very nice and surprisingly quick. The chocolate malt was the maltiest malt we've ever had. It stayed frozen for an hour. I scarffed down my strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream, whip cream and cherry on top. I can't wait to go back and try some lunch and another ice cream dessert. read more
