Meg Rymiszewski of Meg's Gardens designed the plan and then communicated her vision to Tuckahoe. Meg was patient and listened to all my thoughts on what I was looking for and the plan she presented was spot on the 1st time! Her plan was thorough enough to submit to our HOA review board and they approved it immediately. While our job was minor compared to some of the jobs they do, everyone on the Tuckahoe team has treated us as if our job was the only one they had! It took them about 3 days to complete phase 1 of the job, but every night when they were finished for the day they cleaned up everything, including any dirt or mulch that got into the grass or on the driveway! They contracted to cut the…read moregrass, maintain the mulch beds, trim the edges, pick up debris, remove leaves, prune bushes, overseed and aerate in the fall, activate and winterize my irrigation system. I also engaged them to install mulch and prep the beds as an added fee. They subcontract the irrigation services, and that company was very good, identifying where previously the system had damage that was not identified by my previous service company (extra fee for the repairs). They worked with me as well to adjust the watering setup to preserve new plantings. The GG's services were delivered like clockwork. They are very efficient and complete in all they do. When blowing debris for clean up, my wife was especially pleased that they blew leaves off of our back deck! That was a plus! Since I work from home, I was aware of their comings and goings and the work was always done well. When I had questions, the crew was very responsive to me and contacted the main office when there was some confusion about a schedule that was worked out very nicely. I see the cost of this service as very similar to and competitive with regular HOA costs for "full service" condo or townhouse subdivisions, but this is performed on my 1/4 acre lot. I find great value in this service from The Ground Guys and plan to renew my contract.

Their staff is also very friendly. Updated 9/19/2011: This is the third time our backflow preventer leaked since we moved in 6/24/2011. Each time someone comes out, fix it, and then a month later, it leaks again. We irrigate sometimes at night or during the morning, so we're not always able to detect when it does this. Water goes into my foundation which is not good! So I am reducing another star for the same issue happening over and over again. Updated 9/22/2011: I am changing this back to 4 stars again for their wonderful and quick service. I called and they sent someone out the next door and said since it happened 3 times (which it shouldn't) they are going to replace the entire backflow preventer.
