So I have always been looking for my very own "Cheers" type bar. Don't get me wrong, they don't…read moreshout your name as you walk in, but what they DO do (hee hee(doodoo)hee hee) is remember their customers likes and dislikes. Willie and Claire almost always have a couple IPAs, porters, or my fav, sours to suggest. I'm not sure if they have a little Jedi blood or what, but they have literally NEVER steered me wrong. Now, about the beers... it's hands down, the best selection and variations in Chico. Hell. Maybe in all of Nor Cal! Another great thing I've been using more of lately are the apps. They are on both Untapped and Digital Pour. Now before I even go, I can see what new stuff has just been tapped or find out how much is left of my obsession of the week (RIP Triple Haole Punch. Our time was much too brief). Next, is what they DONT offer. You want a burger? Go to Macdonald's. You want a Chocolate Martini? Well God help you... This place is for BEER drinkers and is owned by beer geniuses. Full disclosure--They do keep menus of all the restaurants in the Almond Orchard and encourage people to bring in and wash it down with, I don't know, maybe a beer? So you've got a Pho place a Chinese place, Mexican, and Round Table, etc. Plus, if you ask nicely, they keep bags of chips behind the bar. Today I ordered some flamingo swag off Amazon. It wasn't because of my fetish for long legged pink birds though. Well, maybe a little...Mostly though it was because every Friday they run a great promotion. Anybody wearing flamingo garb gets 10% off their bill as well as a flamingo bottle opener. How can that be anything short of awesome, and today I got to get a pic posted to their Instagram page of me holding the Keg Killer trophy for, you guessed, killing the last of a keg. They also have a pretty epic game room with all the staple bar games. I personally dig the super sized version of Jenga that they have, although if you haven't guessed by now, I'm usually there for the beer. Let's see, what am I forgetting? Beer...Digital Pour...beer...food...Jenga...Keg Killer...excellent selection and knowledge. Oh yeah! They also have a super nice outdoor patio area so you can take your beer for a walk. Look. This place started off trying to just be a good neighborhood taproom for people who like lots of different kinds of high end beers for a decent price, and somewhere along the way turned into a completely awesome one. I could probably keep rambling on about how great they are, but I'm suddenly feeling parched so I'm just going head down there now. I hope to see you all there (although stay off the barstool on the left corner as you walk in... that's MINE)

Perfect ambiance, not overstimulating, and space is nice and airy. It's my own ritual; I always order beignets, and they are consistently good, light and fluffy. This time I ordered the open face toast with bacon (I'm totally butchering what it's actually called), but it was giving eggs benny, and it was so so delicious. Their hollandaise sauce tasted house made so I asked my server (Katie, amazing, 5 stars. Super personable and friendly) and sure enough I learned B Street is a scratch kitchen (absolutely everything is made in-house). IMPRESSIVE. The whole dish was very hearty, exactly what you'd need after a night out and it didn't sit heavy. Thank you B Street, I'll be back soon ;)

Drinks were fun and fresh Staff attentive and really made us feel welcome Vibe - LOVE IT! The booths are amazing and I love that it was the towne lounge so there's lots of history! Food - the lobster lasagna was delicious. Prime rib cooked on point and loved the sides, they were a little small but the meat made up for it! The duck, it had good flavor but wasn't our favorite good sides though!! 2nd time there.... Staff seemed a little stressed and not as friendly VIBE - LOVED IT! The music started right when we got there and it was perfect for our dinner date. Food - kinda made me sad. The halibut was cooked well but over salted and when it was plated it was a little rough looking. The lamb - tough and did not enjoy it, the rice was bland but the veggies were on point! The others had lobster lasagna and enjoyed and the prime rib and it was just so so that night. drinks: Espresso martini was tasty but served in an odd glass!! Wine was nice and of course when you get anything on the rocks you know what you are in for. Sweets: The Cassata (if I spelled that right) sounded amazing but left us unimpressed. The apple tart had great flavor and was warm which was a nice touch! Overall the 1st visit would have had 5 stars but the 2nd is really a 3 stars so I went with 4. I will try going back because I really want them to do good and enjoy the atmosphere there!!!

Once we found our seat, no one brought us menus...we ended up making friends with the couple next to us and looked at theirs. I told the server it was our first time there, and I'm used to a different response other than being met with silence. I asked if she recommended anything and it was as if she didn't want to interact. We ended up getting pho, steak skewers, rice tots, fried chicken sandwich. I ordered a mocktail which was great. Food was ok, would like to try something else next time. Hubs thought the cheese on the chicken sando was "weird". It's a pretty bar.

Sunlight danced across playfully colored walls, instantly making the space feel welcoming and alive. Innovative and classic cocktails are offered alongside beer and a modest wine selection. The mocktails looked wonderfully thirst-quenching, but my soul was calling for an orange wine. It served its purpose quite nicely. The menu centers on healthier bar food options, and the intention comes through beautifully. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully sourced, and lovingly prepared rather than simply assembled. The offerings lean playful, with subtle Asian influences that keep things interesting. Our group chose to lean in on the more indulgent side of the menu. The rice tots? Unexpected, whimsical, and absolutely worthy of sharing, crispy little conversation starters. We enjoyed this starter with a little bowl of seasoned mixed nuts. But let's discuss the pastrami sandwich. A glorious indulgence layered with melty cheese, kimchi slaw, and piled onto a locally baked brioche bun. Restraint was simply not invited to this meal. My dinner companions opted for the cheeseburger and were completely delighted. Classic in concept, but elevated in execution, right down to the burger sauce, which struck that elusive perfect balance of tangy, savory, and craveable. And the fries? Skinny, McDonald's-style (yes, that's a compliment), with exactly the right crunch and seasoning. Roselle manages that lovely balancing act of feeling casual yet intentional, playful yet polished. A very happy little find in Chico, California.
