First time there was had the best food and service! It was top notch and I was so excited to go back and try more of the menu. Drinks were fun and fresh Staff attentive and really made us feel welcome Vibe - LOVE IT! The booths are amazing and I love that it was the towne lounge so there's lots of history! Food - the lobster lasagna was delicious. Prime rib cooked on point and loved the sides, they were a little small but the meat made up for it! The duck, it had good flavor but wasn't our favorite good sides though!! 2nd time there.... Staff seemed a little stressed and not as friendly VIBE - LOVED IT! The music started right when we got there and it was perfect for our dinner date. Food - kinda made me sad. The halibut was cooked well but over salted and when it was plated it was a little rough looking. The lamb - tough and did not enjoy it, the rice was bland but the veggies were on point! The others had lobster lasagna and enjoyed and the prime rib and it was just so so that night. drinks: Espresso martini was tasty but served in an odd glass!! Wine was nice and of course when you get anything on the rocks you know what you are in for. Sweets: The Cassata (if I spelled that right) sounded amazing but left us unimpressed. The apple tart had great flavor and was warm which was a nice touch! Overall the 1st visit would have had 5 stars but the 2nd is really a 3 stars so I went with 4. Came here during a very busy time and found a spot at the bar. Manager came over and recommended a beer which I loved. Really great vibe to the place. Not sure why so many low stars. I guess I haven't tried the food, but based on my experience I'll definitely be back to try it! Best espresso martini in town also. read more

Cheers Chico is a wonderful addition to our downtown restaurants. They have a wonderful menu that is not the same as all the other downtown places. They've got some really imaginative things that are delicious. You can either get small plates like appetizers or you can get a full-on dinner or both! This place is really classy inside, with local pieces of art displayed and a really interesting and original decor. I like this place a lot- the service was very good and everyone was so friendly. They have an early happy hour which is great and then regular dinner seating for which I suggest getting a reservation. read more

This place has HUGE potential. They are new and there's a lot to iron out. The bar service was great, the food was OK, the service was nice. Lots of seating, and really doable happy hour prices! My advice would be to give it a try during Happy Hour and give positive feedback. We are hoping the restaurant picks up!! Maybe more natural lighting...? read more

What a great spot! Ambiance was very nice & I love what they done with the set up. Tried a few items off the lunch menu and the food was amazing! The pickled devil eggs were phenomenal. The Polenta Nigiri had a wonderful flavor & blended really well with the homemade marinara. I kept it simple with the crispy burger order and it was delicious as well. I happened to be walking by here the other day and thought I would check it out. The inside is really nice and cozy with some fun decor to make the atmosphere enjoyable. They also had Cheers playing on the TV to give it an authentic touch. The food was also very tasty and fun to experience. We had the French dip, the salmon pasta and then some appetizers and cocktails. Its a really nice atmosphere to hang out at in Chico. read more

Our server, Collin, made the entire evening very special. He was friendly, professional and so knowledgeable. We were also fortunate to have the owner, David H. spend time with us and making sure are selections from the Ceasar Salads, garlic bread, leg of lamb, spaghetti and meatballs, lobster lasagna and veal marsala were the best The presentation and flavor of all the dishes were terrific. Damn I really wanted to love this. Really nice, well thought out room and bar. Our server was friendly and efficient. Pretty decent wine list although the wine by the glass pours are on the skimpy side. It's just that the food was so so. The Caesar salad had pretty good flavor despite a bit tired lettuce and stale croutons. My black cod dish was a little undercooked and I usually appreciate that, but there was no texture and lacking in flavor. The green beans and pasta on the side were both pretty good. My friend had the veal marsala, and again the flavor was halfway decent but the piece of meat was tough and chewy almost to the point of being unedible. Hoping it was just an off night as I really want this place to succeed in this location and will be trying again soon. read more

The ranch was super sour, fries were whatever and didn't seem to even be salted, and my French dip was somehow flavorless even though it had horseradish and arugula on it. Burger was equally bad. Made a reservation for a graduation dinner. the vegetable lasagna was cool instead of hot. the medium well steak we ordered was rare. we asked to cook it more but it was still pink and a very fatty cut. the chicken Parmesan was overcooked and tough with no breading. the pasta that came with it was chefs choice but it was a mushroom sauce pasta that did not go with the entree at all. It was hard to get service to notice us and five minutes after getting our food the server came and asked if we wanted boxes. then he came back up and asked if we were done with the check when he had just dropped it off. they had live music which was way too loud and did not go with the vibe. the. price for the food was way too overpriced. maybe go for a quick drink. Came in Monday night but weren't able to stay for Trivia. Our server Colin was extremely attentive despite being the only one staffed for the large space. I was blown away with my experience at cheers. The place is very classy with a menu that is 4 courses at a set price. The food was amazing and the drinks are great. The services was one of the best I've ever had in Chico, the staff goes above and beyond. I put in the reservation comment section that it was my woman's birthday thinking we might get a desert. I had the porterhouse my wife the prime rib both thought were good and the polenta nigiri was also good but expensive for two bites. I guess my only other problem was a 9$ mock tail also expensive but tasty. We will go back again which I always do when trying a new place to eat. read more

The prices for dinner are really high ($250 for 4 people) considering the food wasn't great and the service was slow. We had a party of 4 and none of us were thrilled with the entree we chose. It wasn't busy in there at all, but it still took more than 20 minutes to get drinks and 45 to get food from when we ordered. We'll definitely go somewhere else next time. read more

Service was very slow. I had chicken parm which was not even a nice tender flavorful piece of chicken but a chicken leg with a bone poking out, some sauce and cheese on top. The pasta was a blob of pasta with way too much pesto and the food was barely warm. The other dish was lobster lasagna which had no taste and very little lobster. The appetizer was polenta with meat ball which turned out to be two small squares of fried polenta with some sort of mystery meat on top. Drinks were expensive, $ 17 for one shot scotch over ice cube. Quite a pricey place for such poor service and food. The bar was really loud not a good date night dinner. What a beautiful restaurant. The bar, the lighting, and the shelving just behind the bar are just gorgeous. Outside of the esthetics, the food and cocktails are amazing. At karaoke night, on Fridays, I ordered an old fashion. It was fantastic. They had my favorite whiskey, Whistle Pig, and made a wonderful cocktail with a great balance of whiskey flavor and a nice, light fruit notes at the end. I haven't had anything like it in town. Happy hour food is wonderful and the service is excellent. The employees are kind, polite, and diligent. if you're looking for a great night out, I highly recommend Cheers Chico. read more
