I have also heard wonderful things about all of the neurologists here. This practice is located across from Baptist Medical Center Downtown in the Aetna Building. There are some really beautiful views of downtown and the river from their offices. The only negative thing I have to say about this practice is that there is always a wait. It's not uncommon for the wait to be up to an hour. So, bring a book, your iPad, etc. Just plan accordingly. Also, you cannot just call her and make an appointment. Even if you have insurance that doesn't require you to go through your primary care doctor to see a specialist, this practice still requires you to have a referral from your primary care doctor. It's also impossible to get them on the phone immediately whether it's to make an appointment, get med refills, etc. You'll have to leave a message. However, they are excellent at calling you back ASAP. I highly recommend Dr. Asad and this practice for your neurology needs.

The place is beautiful, art everywhere, places to sit and relax, history of the Mayo family and how it all came to be, photos, and information. This was all just in one part of it where we were, the ER and Davis Building. They also have quality places to eat and even a full Starbucks here. This is a state of the art hospital with world class physicians. Walking the corridors there an air of calm knowing you or your family member are being treated by the best.

They deserve a 5.0 based on our experience at least. The basis for my opinion is set forth below. My spouse injured his back so badly he was in a wheelchair. The night before the surgery he could barely transfer from his chair to bed and was in horrible pain despite strong opioid pain medication. Dr. Shaw operated and he woke to no pain, and was able to easily transfer to his wheelchair to come home just a few hours after surgery! Dr. Shaw is not only the ultimate professional, but has an excellent bedside manner during surgery. While at the office he explained things very clearly he was clinical. But before surgery he exuded warmth and caring that was such a comfort. And when he met with me while Charlie was in recovery to explain how the procedure went, I was I rushed and all my questions addressed. He is truly an A++ surgeon. Within a week we put the wheelchair into the garage and he was walking with the assistance of a walker for stability as he rebuilt his leg muscles. Within two weeks he could walk without the walker. Best of all the pain did not return. Dr.Shaw and Lyerly gave us our life back. Special shout out to Cheryl and Heather who are amazing - and part of the team who put Charlie back together again!! Charlie's neurologist Dr Snyder at Baptist recommended Lyerly/Dr Shaw and his office placed the order/reached out for us. We were called promptly, and seen within a week.
