The facility is fairly large. The outdoor deck is very big and has a nice vantage over the grounds. The staff was very friendly and professional. It was hard to know how much they knew their wines or other wines since you have to pick the wines you wanted to taste and they gave you a flight to take outside and drink by yourself. I guess it's their approach to dealing with Covid. I was impressed by their system though. You reviewed the wine list and wrote down the 5 wines you would like to try in the circles printed on a slip of paper. Tasting costs $5 for dove tastes. The flight was composed of dive plastic cups on a cute wooden tray. You then took your tray outside to taste at your leisure. I'm glad was tasting outside. I really don't like to tell the tasting server that I don't like ANY of their wines. However that was the case here. We basically picked the dive driest red-white wines they had. I don't know if it was the plastic cup or the wine making process. However, each wine was very plain. It almost tasted like each wine was slightly watered down. None of the five had a distinctive taste that would make me want to buy a bottle. ThT was my experience. I hope yours is different that mine. We will try Fruit Hills again in another season.

The road it is on has minimal traffic and the seating is set back to allow for a peaceful fun time with friends or a loved one and trying out there multitude of delicious wines. Though they do have some dry wines, I believe their semi-sweet and sweet wines are the the highlights for this winery. Their semi-sweet wines are perfect for summer cookouts and and a quick after-work wine-down with friends and co-workers. Definitely worth a detour on your trip in Northern Indiana
