Tippy Creek Winery was one of my favorite wineries we visited on our long weekend to northeast Indiana. A cute winery out in the country. I loved the ambiance and the unique shelters made out of the top of a grain silo. We arrived shortly after they opened and tried their dry red wines. All were good, but we especially liked their 2016 Chancellor and bought a couple of bottles to bring back home. While we were there a wedding had just wrapped up. We were sitting outside on the patio when the wedding party returned from taking photos and we somehow became wedding crashers. Everyone was super nice. We really enjoyed our time at Tippy Creek and will be back. read more

I will say that this review is Covid tainted. We were very disappointed that we couldn't taste wines at Tippy on our visit. Their protocol was for you to come to a window and order a slushee, glass or bottle to go. They didn't have their tasting room open. They said it was too difficult to socially distance people and clean up after them in a timely manner. They blamed the governor. Note: three other wineries we visited that day all allowed us inside to taste. We asked if they could give us a couple samples of select wines that we thought we might buy. They said they couldn't open the bottles because if they did they would have to throw too much away. With that disappointing news we settled for two slushees. We tried a strawberry-banana and a blackberry slushee. We took them and sat In the nice outdoor patio area. The slushees were delicious! Tippy Winery needs another post Covid visit. I'm sure my rating will be higher then. I'm just very disappointed that Tippy didn't make a stronger effort to serve wine drinkers in a safe manner like many of their competitors. read more

There honestly are not many places to hang out at in this part of Indiana, but this is a nice place above and beyond the fact that it is just there. We were at one of the nearby lakes and decided to stop by - what a fun place for a girl's night! Employees were VERY friendly, open to lots of questions, and obliged us by taking or group photo. The environment is lovely - beautiful wooden walls and tables. The wine is okay - I'll be honest I liked some and hated others. I didn't love any of it. But the environment and people is worth a return for sure. I'd highly recommend getting the 6 samples - you get a beautiful glass as well! Wines: dewart dry dock- definitely dry and fruity. Alright Tippy Zippy Red - good! My fav. Won some awards too Sunset Syrah - a smoky taste that I hated Motor boating Merlot - eh Sandbar Splash - ok Boats n Hoes - hate the name. The Vegan options are rare with a lot of food trucks, many can find something, even if it is just a clean pickle. They try to find something as best they can which pleases me, so selectively decent in there service. read more

Super enjoyable time at beautiful Tippy Creek Winery. We had a flight to sample four wines and then bought a bottle of delicious Syrah to enjoy at their gazebo. Staff/owners were very nice, winery dogs are sweet and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. They source their grapes from Michigan so the winery is surrounded by corn fields instead of vineyards! We're from California so this was very different. Overall, such a nice visit. read more

The experience was lovely, my husband, a couple friends and I did the cupcake and wine pairing. It was great! I will say, there were dogs in the building and we weren't super fond of that. The employees were touching the animals and then touching stuff on tables and that felt very unsanitary. Plus the dogs were begging and they were going under our table and even licked our friend's hand. That would prevent us from coming back and we would not have come if we would have known that. This is a great little winery located in the middle of farm county. We had the double gold medal winner Tippy Zippy Red. It has a wonderful ruby rose color. It has a soft black berry cherry aroma. The red blend is very soft on the palette and is not as dry as I would have expected. It runs on the sweet side and has a large fruit flavor. I would recommend coming out to this winery on a lazy Saturday drive. read more

Not only is the atmosphere and wine very good, Zac, the gentlemen who handled our testing was outstanding in both his knowledge and demeanor. Good wine is great but great service all but ensures you have repeat customers. They were extremely busy and Zac was very attentive, even while helping other patrons. This place is great! Stumbled upon it on their 2 year anniversary so that was good timing (they gave us 2 wine glasses as a present). We split a bottle of wine and sat outside on their patio with music playing and right next to a cornfield. Doesn't get much better than that! Good prices for the most part and great atmosphere. Tippy creek is a beautiful facility with friendly staff! Their wines were well thought out although I am excited to hear that there will be more drys on the horizon! We went for a tasting because it was a convenient location and we were disappointed. The prices are insane: They pour extremely small tasters (less than 1 ounce) and way overcharge. If you're stuck going here, the only thing worth drinking is the wine slushies, but be warned that they are $8-$10 for about 8-10oz of slushie. We had 3 of us doing a tasting and then we ordered 2 pitchers of the sangria - the total bill was around $100 before tip. It's barely "wine": I really think they must have looked at Indiana residents and decided that what we fat people want in a wine is water, fruit juice, and sugar, so that's what they made. None of the wines taste like wine and the staff told us they have an alcohol content level of a beer! We came for WINE, which is normally 11% or greater, and they told us their stuff is along the lines of 4%. I honestly couldn't taste any alcohol in anything I tried. I would only recommend going here if you want to spend an exorbitant amount of money on fruit juice. It's not even locally made: They don't actually make or bottle the wine - that is done out of the state (Michigan). Staff aren't great: We stood at the bar for at least 10 minutes waiting to be served. They even helped people who came in after us first, and it wasn't until I cut off some newcomers and told the girl that we're still waiting to order that she even looked at me. I guess we weren't dressed nicely enough to warrant any attention. If I ever go back, it's because my co-workers (who don't actually like alcohol but love this juice) want us to. I'll stick to 1 slushie and then get out of there. read more

Great first experience at Tippy Creek! Welcomed by friendly owners, they were happy to answer questions and orient us to their options. We got a flight of four choices. Their menu was easy to understand. You can take your selections to one of several tables with benches/chairs, or even couches, and enjoy a couple of TV's with football on this Sunday afternoon (I liked the TV'S, Jaime was indifferent... they're not obnoxious, and no sound, just some nice music). Beautiful building, plenty of space at the bar or to relax. They do serve cheese/meats/crackers if you'd like, their hard cider, or wine by the glass. We spent an hour there, could easily have stayed longer. GREAT atmosphere... Nice, but not at all pretentious. We'll be back, sounds like they have great plans for events with outside food/music. read more
