She continued to argue with me about the fact that I should have called when I was very calm telling her I'll take the pumpkin it doesn't matter. I was just telling her why i thought Pumpkins were wanted. ​ she ranted at me that I should have called first even though I had already told her multiple times I would take the pumpkin back and I wasn't trying to argue. An employee sped into the exit and parked and rushed towards us as we were stepping out of the car. She did a b line to us and we thought it was serious. She told us that they weren't even open and we were parked on the wrong side of the parking lot near barn. Due to her approach we thought that we were perhaps an hour early but when we asked what time they open she said 10 am. It was 9:50 am. I wish she had approached us differently. Why not just say that they will be opening in ten minutes. We weren't trying to get inside. We had just commuted an hour and stretching out. It was so unwelcoming. On the other hand a young man on a tractor said welcome while driving by us. The farm itself is lovely!

The giant chess set is fun, and there's tic tac toe you can play with rocks on giant logs. We love going into the shop and buying dried lavender and their lavender lemonade, and I have so many of their lip balms now it's not even funny. There were goats, ducks, chickens, alpacas, and a baby cow. A few goats did come up to the fence to say hi. I tried the Spring-fling Latte that was salted honey with blueberry cold foam. It was delicious and festive as it had red, white, and blue sprinkles on top. The staff was so nice and friendly. We grabbed our coffees before walking around the paddock. The property was in great shape- very well maintained. Lots of seating all around some by the pond, some behind the cafe. The quality of the trees is great - 5-6 years and we've never had a bad tree. They're full, look green and healthy until the New Year and smell amazing. Credit/debit users, remember to bring cash for postcards as you can send them postmarked from Pumpkin Town, autumn treats like cider donuts and popcorn at the snack stand, and the catapults over the pond aimed at Red Sox and Yankees targets (must be a Mets Family here!). Also remember a couple bucks to cash for the breast cancer donation box, in memory of Sandy herself. Having to bring cash isn't my favorite but there was a farm stand and snack bar with souvenirs where cards could be used. I have a rocking chair I bought 36 years ago, it's held up in the outdoor weather. Spring time, healthy perennials, shrubs and trees are available. This is where I go to get my healthy plants. I always get my bird seed here, high quality and Holdriges has specials. Checkout the pond shop. The koi fish and water plants are amazing. All the employees are friendly, they go all out to help you. My favorite place to spend time all year long.
