I had FINALLY found the perfect design and James created a brand new ring with her diamonds from scratch. IT IS EXQUISITE!!! I was terrified it would not meet my expectations however it not only met my expectations it exceeded my expectations! James does not send the gold out to be cast in a mold, he does EVERYTHING from drawing a sketch to the final product. I could go on and on about how happy I am! Do not have any fears going to him for custom jewelry. You will not be disappointed!

I recently made a purchase on eBay for a diamond band that I paid $700.00 for. I searched all over…read moreto find a GIA graduate gemologist in the Myrtle Beach area and discovered James Huntley, the owner is a Master Jeweler and a GIA Graduate Gemologist. GIA graduates carry more weight than any other gemologist in their field. I made an appointment and met with James, a warm hearted man who was more than happy to evaluate my ring. He owns this little shop in the Market Commons. I told him that I wanted the ring evaluated, so if I was being ripped off, I could still return the ring. As he lifted the ring, he immediately said, "it's platinum", but put it on a scale to measure the density of the metal. Then he looked through his loop and wrote 354.00. He took the diamond band and put it under a microscope and he measured their size. He completed his evaluation and charged me $150.00, which I was informed of prior to the appraisal. I was told that after this appraisal, I would be charged $75.00 for any additional appraisals from now on. I thought to myself, if this is only worth $354.00, it will be going back. He wrote up the appraisal, and to my surprise the $354.00 was for one stone, and he multiplied it by the 14 stones that the ring has, and the weight of the platinum. My ring was appraised for over $5,600.00 by a GIA Gemologist!!!!!!!! Whew, I get hot flashes just thinking of it. I got my money's worth, as the stones were bigger and better than what the seller listed them as being. I feel rich! James was very happy to bring me such good news. He was thorough, personable and polite. I am very happy with my experience at Treasures Fine Jewelers, and I will be back. I very highly recommend this jeweler.

I went into the store today (12/22/21) around 1:30pm with my sister just to look at some wedding…read morebands and ask a couple questions, as I just got engaged last weekend. The first gentleman that spoke with me was very kind, he complimented my engagement ring and after I exchanged for a few minutes with him about different ring details he continued his job and I continued looking around. My engagement ring has blue topaz accent stones, so my sister and I were discussing how it would be cool to incorporate blue into my fiancé's wedding band somehow. I got the attention of one of the saleswomen on the floor and before I could really explain my situation, she kept asking if I was looking to purchase. The thing was, I had no clue what I was looking for and wanted to ask some questions to gain some more info to start the search for a band with blue. She then told me she needed to go help someone else and asked the other saleswoman to help me. This lady did the same thing, threw out questions like "are you going to buy today?" and "do you know what size?" etc. I continued to try and explain my questions/inquiries and asked to see one of the rings in the case. She pulled it out for me and did not give me the chance to discuss it or learn, instead she told me that "today was not the day to window shop" and that I should leave and look at their website. It was pretty clear that she did not take me seriously. I wanted to speak with an actual person rather than look online since I have never shopped for a wedding band before, but I did not feel welcomed. If the store were crowded with other shoppers, maybe I would have understood the urgency to help individuals who knew exactly what they wanted, but the store was not overly crowded. I definitely left feeling like it was not okay to ask questions and see different options even if I was not seeking to buy that day. I am a reasonable person and I've worked jobs dealing with customer service, so I know it can be stressful and overwhelming at times. I was also very kind in this situation. However, in this situation, I felt like I was not being taken seriously, even though I stated that I was engaged and had my ring on my finger. I was pretty much shown out of the store since I didn't know exactly what I wanted. My fiancé and I will be taking our business elsewhere when we purchase our wedding bands.
